@samanue.p i completely understand your point here brother but don't worry there is nothing wrong on this . Your parents genuinely cares about you and gave you advice which they think is best for you , I will genuinely say here that sometimes we need to keep our passion aside and do that needs to be done or even discipline says that it is doing of something that needs to be done regardless of how you feel . you have to follow your passion but keeping in your mind that studies is also important and you have to manage time to follow your passion and study for exams just try to follow both because in this scenario both needs to be done. I am not a proffesional hero or something but i m just saying what i think is right because slow progress is better than no progress . You can correct me i m wrong
