Overcoming laziness is vital, we will always have that urge to be lazy because it’s comfortable & easy but overcoming that urge will give us growth & success
Iam a 45 yr old Man. I’m actually a Grandfather of 2 granddaughters. I’ve been a Martial Artist since 92’. This channel was recommended to me by my 34 yr old good friend and fellow Martial Artist. They channel is truly the fountain of youth. Just how we train the body with Muay Thai & Jiujitsu this channel reiterated and helps maintain why we do the everyday tasks. Because repetitiveness is what makes us true Adonis. Sounds corny but Hamza speaks truth. Thank you, for these videos 🙏
Im realizing how much of my life ive lost to depression, so many wasted years suffering alone and now that ive gotten therapy and trying self improvement the more confusing it all becomes. I dont know exactly why i ended up like this, im doing better in a lot of areas but the other day out of no where i had an emotional breakdown. Instead of finishing work, and going to the gym as part of the routine ive been building i just felt compelled to go drink myself to sleep. Ive been depressed my entire life its like being happy at all is a foreign concept and being out of it is in alien territory for me. As a result i feel like i have a twin personality, one being the productive, successful, motivated me and the other one my self sabotaging shadow.
Your failures are in the past, that night you drank yourself to sleep is done and over. Forget about it do things right in the moment that will help you.
I strongly suggest you look into your family tree history and childhood experience. They were the first things my psychologist asked in my therapy sessions. Impactful events in family history often lead to some traumatised experiences that run through a family. For example, an abusive man in relationship is often a victim of child abuse in his original family coz the child learned to express emotion from his parent. This domestic violence will pass down generations until someone in the family tree has it enough, deciding to break from the cycle. This takes profound self-awareness, learning and self-improving, and is always very difficult. My parents, who one of them comes from broken family, took whole 10 years to figure out their marriage. They are still attending class in a non-profit NGO to improve themselves. I suggest you read ‘The Family-A Revolutionary Way of Self-Discovery’ by John Bradshaw if you want to know more.
I am very grateful for finding your channel,I see the world differently because of you,I feel great when I share the things I learned to my close people and actually seeing them take the advice,
Working on your mental health is step 0 to achieving anything in your life. I like to look at it as having destinations you want to reach (better focus, better body, more money), and all the "hacks", all the "tips" as trying to upgrade your existing Honda by improving its acceleration, and speed, etc. But by working on your mental health, you improve your entire being, you improve the vehicle you're in. By working on your mental health you go from your Honda to a Ferrari, over time. So many people ask, "will working on my mental health help me with ___", and that's the analogy I like to share in return. Every goal you can have is a destination. Now will changing your vehicle for a much better one, be more helpful than trying to upgrade parts of the existing one? You can answer that for yourself.
I've been working on my mental health as my main goal for years. But mental health will improve more if you do self improvement itself then trying to figure out what's wrong with you. Working on your mental health and therapy is a background work that is very important but it takes at least 3 years to heal when it's deeply rooted in your being. For me mental health is 95% good habits and self improvement mentality. You just have to say fuck it to your issues when they comeback to haunt you until you've healed.
It's not even that I'm lazy. I want to learn so many things but I can't because of money, school, parents, etc. I love watching your videos and you really inspire me
I rarely comment on videos, but I gotta say this one from you Hamza is a godsend to me and exactly what I needed at this time. Thank you, thank you so much. Cannot express how each and every thing you talked about here resonated with me, starting from why I am lazy to mentally not being grateful for the sacrifices my parents have made for me. I know how to pivot now to take my life where it needs to be.
Yesterday I went to church and the pastor preached, "To receive your blessing, you have to release." Just finished a two-hour workout. I'm going to release something out of my life; instant gratification and short-term pleasure. Keep Striving Brothers!
I’ve literally been planning on making a self development UA-cam channel but thanks to this video I just realized how much I need to improve my mental health. This video could not have been said better. Eye opening for me for real. I had the textbook definition of a.bad childhood that poured into a lack of making connections with others as I got older. That left me alone and without love, a basic human need. I turned to substance abuse to self heal but like everyone knows, it’s a short term fix that brings long term problems. It made me a unreliable, undisciplined, and aimless in my ambitions. In turn I went job to job and got more and more out of shape. All this led to a feelings of hopelessness and self hatred and gave me plenty of time to ruminate constantly over my failures. I lacked money for therapy and I lacked any meaningful relationships. I had no one to confide in and thoughts of self deletion began to become more common, louder and most alarming, they became more reasonable sounding in my mind. They became logical and rational.. the thing that helped pull me out of that absolute darkness was realizing my aimlessness in life. I had no goal I was working towards and therefore no drive or motivation. A goal isn’t just something to obtain, it’s something you personal want to obtain so badly it drives you! It gives you happiness to think about and gets you to put in the work daily to achieve it. It makes you less lazy which gives you more confidence upon reflection on your achievements, which leads to more outgoing habits and better interactions with others. Mediation and being grateful are good practices but it’s having a worthwhile goal to strive for that gives you purpose. Purpose provides direction and leads to a lifestyle filled with habits that produce better results in life, one such result being better mental health.. Thanks!
this is very relatable, this made my day, finding people with the same ideas always motivates me. I think you will like my channel I started self-improvement and I made my first youtube video a couple of days ago and also posted a video today I need some advice maybe if you watched it would help me a lot and i am also gonna post today a video on how to change your life.
Hamza, your ability to forgive your parents and have gratitude for them even though they harmed you, but by believing and talking about it to them that’s how real closure and building a great relationship with them back, well done
Hi Hamza, I just wanna apologise for my behaviour when I joined your server, I was immature and didn’t appreciate the help I received, I took a step aside from life and went monk mode for the last months, I hope you accept my apology. Thanks for everything you do brother ❤️
I've NEVER heard of a UA-camr mentioning mental health as the main problem, instead the mofos be like "Just do 5 min work trust me" type bullshit. I'm grateful for finding your channel as it has helped me kick-start my self-development journey.
Hey brother I've been on major self improvement journey for the past two years. I lost my business, I lost my physical health and, battled with addiction. I hit rock bottom. Ive made MAJOR progress since that point but I struggle with my focus and productivity. As of late I've been obsessing over my diet and what food I'm putting in my body. That's actually how I stumbled upon your channel. You are a king among men. You are hands down the most real person I've ever come across online. Your no bullshit approach hit home. "Don't be a little bitch. Respect yourself" I love it, man. It's really interesting how lonely my self improvement journey is. Finding you wasn't an accident.
Find your purpose, the thing you strive for! laziness will go out of the door If you don't like it then chances are that this is the reason you are lazy
right now am a tribe leader cuz of you, I am giving as much tips and motivation I have gotten from you to my tribe members. you really made me improve so much, now am making more money and having a way more happier life. If you were depressed and crying every night and getting disrespected, you're in the right channel my friend. thank you so much hamza for this useful content!
this is very relatable, this made my day, finding people with the same ideas always motivates me. This guy has helped me a lot in the past 3 months I stopped playing video games all day and started reading, sleeping more, and exercising. Thank you, Hamza you are a legend!
You’re not lazy, you’re mind is paralysed by too many desires, you’re mind wants 1000 things at a time. That is keeping you in a perpetual cycle of discontentment and unhappiness
I love every comments on Hamza’s videos, its just positive thoughts and have a multiple god quotes that make me want to do the right things/ habits to make my life better
It is important for us men to surpass that laziness phase in order to progress in whatever tasks that we need to achieve. There are days where we want to be lazy hence why Hamza always say "Do the hard work especially when you don't feel like it". However, once we overcome that urge of laziness, it will allow us to grow and have success in our lives when we work towards our goals. Thank you for this video brother!
Im happy to watch this after a very long day of 5 hours of competition and a lot of studying. Before last schoolyear i was extremly unproductive, but this schoolyear ive changed.. Ive become productive, i work hard for my goals and when i have done everything which i wanted to achieve on a day, i give myself a well deserved break..
It's not only because of lack of desire, but also because of lack of confidence and fear of failure. Hamza summarized it beautifully - productivity issues are mental health issues.
Bro this vid took a sharp turn after 5 min. I feel like this chanel changed from like very masculen sort of agresive motivation to a warm suporting energy and in my opinion this is a better form of content because it shows ur good intensions. Great job
I'm grateful for your videos. I've done the personal development journey so many times now and even though I've fallen off the wagon multiple times, I always seem to get back on and I go deeper each time. This time I need it to be forever. Your videos are helping to inspire me, not only to make the change for myself, but to influence my friends to make the change simply by witnessing my transformation. It's undeniable. Even though I'm older than you and I've read a lot of these books a long time ago and whatever, you're teaching me so much and reminding me of things I've forgotten. Thank you for that. Much love!
How to have unlimited energy: 1. Skip all forms of false accomplishments (video games, porn, social media, etc) 2. Be greatful for even the little things you have (This will motivate you to take positive actions despite the ocean of excuses you might have to avoid the real work) 3. Eat Clean (Please, include healthy fats and protein in your diet. Eat 3 whole eggs, they provide the real estate for your hormones) 4. Be aware of your goals at every single step (Practice intentional Visualization).
@@maanvlam strict vegans don't even eat eggs. but they can still get proper nutrients via plant based protein shakes and i highly recommend they do. i read a few weeks back that, globally, we are not getting as much protein as we should daily. i don't mean overal calories (we've fucking plenty of that...), but purely protein. it's so damn good for the body and often we're lacking it. i also just love a well cooked hard boiled egg. delicious.
@@mongrel_97 I worded it wrong Ik everyone needs protein But I'm asking if ppl who hit the gym and have a standard workout diet (where they probably get 1g of protein per pound of bodyweight) get enough protein? Just to clarify, u were saying most ppl don't get enough protein so I said "even bodybuilders?" My bad tho I wasn't clear abt it g
I never comment but u deserve the love after this video. I'm also a Pakistani first-gen in western civilisation, similar backstory as urs, struggling through living in this strange world. U inspire me and remind me it will get better. Much live and protection from the sandals
yo man, my name is actually Adonis, and i confess that the first time i saw a video of yours on tiktok with no actual context, it scared me af. now imma regular subscriber of yours. no regrets
Yes, I'm a total Jeffrey Even if i have a bit of muscle from exercise, I'm still a Jeffrey mentally. I knew most of these, but it couldn't pop in my mind. Why? Playing video games, scrolling for another dopamine in UA-cam, going to google to never just be productive and etc. But after Hamza said that it wasn't the problem, but a symptom, and told the actual problem. I started crying, i knew it all, but couldn't even get it in my mind, because i was too distracted to get another dopamine dose online. Now i wanna change, if i ever come back here after a month and nothing has changed drastically. I don't deserve to be in this cult.
Accept what happens, taoist philosophy is that, now just see your goal and flow to it. Just have a poster on your ceiling to remind yourself when you wake up naybe?
@@TheTrueAdonis isn't toaism litteraly the opposite of "try to achieve your goals and ambitions"? What I remember from watching a video about it is that you just go with the flow and don't care about things like amassing wealth or trying to impress people with your physique.
For me, the bad habits are both the symptoms and the causes of bad mental health. It’s a habit cycle that’s hard to break. Only once I used a habit tracker to keep them at bay did my mental health get better. Meditation did all of the rest after that for me.
Bro I was 240 lbs as a 12 year old I’m so thankful to hamza thanks to him I’m so much more fucking happy with my life I still need more discipline and work but thanks to him I’ve been able to cut back to 180 pounds I love this channel and I respect anyone who who listens to this man’s advice
everyone will be lazy at some point, trust me, as a someone who train everyday, there are some day where i feel lazy and feel like i don't want to do it, but i still have to do it anyway.
One of the biggest things that's helped me to start actually progressing in everything is that time is so limited, I'm 18 and I'm so deeply grateful I know what I know and for the parents I have. I know now if I go my hardest that even by 20 years old I will be vastly different, and by 30-something I will be truly conditioned and ready to be a father. If you're as young as me I URGE you to make an unbreakable promise to yourself that you will live in such a way that your 20s will be the most fun you've ever had. I've meditated alot and I truly don't feel like I can let my 20s go to waste. If I hadn't meditated I really think I would still have scattered thoughts on that matter. steel your resolve with meditation and consistency, I've been going for a bit now and it's made me see how awesome my last relationship could have been if I were my current self. Now I'm excited that the level of relationship I'm gonna have next will be better than I can even think of at the moment.
You know, the reason I respect you as a man is because you forgave your parents for their past actions and also made their life better along with yours. I'm so grateful that I found this channel
Brother as someone who was clinically diagnosed with this disorder, I feel your pain. But at the same time I recognize how society tried to appropriate the possibility with me that I’d be highly incompetent. That’s when I realized I really have no other choice than to work toward my own improvement because the alternative was essentially madness. If I decided that day that I’d allow this illness to consume and accumulate within me, I wouldn’t have gotten to experience the beauty of perseverance, as it’s really one of the most rewarding things life has to offer when you reach the goal you’ve been delayed gratification for for so long. I’m just grateful to be able to take the journey along with you, Hamza, you’ve taught a lot of valuable lessons💪💯
As someone who started nofap 2 weeks ago as a twelve year old and I’m so glad I was able to find videos like these at my age because 2 years ago all I did was play video games for 12 hours a day and now I can become the best version of my self and start my self improvement journey
I've been fixating on the issues of playing video games all day, or masturbating or eating junk food, when in actuallity they are just symptoms of my poor mental health. Sounds simple when you say it, but it's taken me some time to come to that realisation. Thank you Hamza, I'm so grateful now I can start tackling the root causes.
Perfect timing mashallah. I don’t understand how. I don’t watch these videos anymore because I feel I don’t need most of them but I always randomly get a noti regarding a video that I actually do need in a specific moment, it’s always perfect timing.
15:09 This really oppend my eyes and gave me a deeper understanding why some people are obese and im just so greatful for that Hamza, now i wont be so judgemental towards people who are obese and i will be more opendminded. Thanks
i found myself pausing in the middle of those videos and doing some deep journaling learning stuff about myself , thanks for all the food for thought you are putting here
It's my birthday today I turned 17 and i am so grateful for all this self improvement UA-camrs like Hamza ,ice- cold jt , jordan green they helped so much in my journey ❤️
Hamza thank you. Thank you for making self improvement so achievable for me and so many others. I was kind of getting into the topic for a while but as soon as I found your videos everything worked out so much better Especially meditating! You're the first guy to really tell me what to do while meditating and it's actually so easy! You deserve all of your success and even more

Hamaza, I thank God for you... I am so thankful you went through the self improvement and also created this channel for people (I am a woman) like me, we are all so different while being so similar.
Hamza, once again thank you very much. I’ve been spending my summer trying to improve my mental health, focus, break shit habits, and renew my drive. I’ve been actually practicing meditation and your explanation has taken my understanding of the practice to the next level.
I started seing hamza on my tiktok fyp and felt like he had cameras on me and watched them 24/7, so I went to his youtube channel to see why I had that feeling and the first video I watched was a dopamine detox guide, so I decided to go on a dopamine detox and only lasted two days but the fufillment, joy and pride I felt during the detox was nothing like I had ever experienced before so i fully recomend going on one, keep it up :).
What you’re doing here is making a brotherhood for young men to be men again. Don’t stop Hamza, keep bringing people to realizing that they must be disciplined.

Hi there Hamza! I'm a long-time viewer. Your channel has really helped me in terms of delivering constructive criticism to myself. I was wondering if you could do an episode about ego/loss of ego? Like, the inability of some people to handle criticism because they've experienced some kind of ego death and loss of identity. Thank you!
@@BillyMastery I agree! I have the belief that motivation is a lie and that in order to do things, you must deliberately simply do them. The issue I'm encountering is that I've relaxed my ego so strenuously for so long that all my values tend to compliment other people, rather than directing my energy into "self-development for the sake of myself." I've tried to journal about it extensively, but the journal only goes so far. I'm looking to swing myself into the gym now that I have my diet under control and use that to build back my identity block by block, through achieving strength and maturity on par with the excellence of Adonis.
@@bandit7848 Is your question a personal one? If so, how would you say you relaxed your ego so strenuously for so long? By being passive? There is definitely a balance to it if you want to live a fulfilling life. The ego is like a wild animal inside of us whose sole purpose is too keep us alive and continue our linage. The ego should not be let to go out of control but neither should it be subdued. I purposely take psychedelics to "tame" my ego when I feel it begin to get out of hand. I would not consider it too problematic what you see as an issue. If more people had a loss of ego, the planet and mankind would benefit. But sadly that is not the case, as most humans are naturally self-centered, driven by their ego. I would take a step back and see what your values in life are and what kind of person you want to be. If you want to sleep around with women, then yes, having a strong ego is what is considered naturally sexually appealing. But if you want to live a more virtuous, selfless life seeking fulfillment in helping others, a tamed ego is the way to go. I have lived both lives, and I personally prefer the later, even when society tells us otherwise.
Really liking the new style of videos Hamza, feels more down to earth and personal. It reminds me of your old videos again, Though the short ones were entertaining as hell and it will always be nice to reference them; these are the videos that will really change someones life.
I just wanted to say congratulations on your success you know your body and your random acts of kindness and your mental health. And you are doing it for free for people like me who just want to improve. Thanks Hamza ☺️
Currently going through uncomfortable moments, and I've just realised I need this. I need to be in this feeling more. I have started my self improvement around 2 months ago, and I've realised how much I've missed going outside. Found that just going outside and taking pictures of the nature and making my mom a little more happy is what I'm supposed to do what I was made to do.

He is also Pakistani and he brought us in the middle east. His life in Pakistan was great until he had us. This hit me in the feels man. I wish to make my father proud someday. I want him to feel like all of his sacrfices were not wasted after having us. Thanks bro. I love your content even after just watching few of your videos. P.S. F**k the pomodoro technique
I am amazed at how well timed Hamza's videos are in relation to my life. I have recently been very unproductive on my job and I have been consuming so much material to fight this laziness in me. This Sunday, I also did a full dopamine detox (inspired from Andrew Kirby), but I still didn't know how to proceed next. After watching this particular video, I know exactly what I should do now. I will make a morning routine that contains meditation and gratitude journaling starting tomorrow. It's insane to think of just how much value you add through a single video, Hamza, and I am grateful to the youtube algorithm for making you appearing on my feed in the first place.
Bro, when you said that with the love letter it really made me think about my mother differently, she wasn't the most kind for all of the time, but I'm really grateful for her This really made me cry, thank you, Hamza
dude i literally do 100 pushups a day (with some rest day) since the first of june cause u told to give our respect back, and as a test you told to do 100 pushups, and till this day i keep it up, my arm and overall upper body got a lil bit better, but the best thing was having self respect to do it, im really skinny and this exercise got my confidence really high, thank you

I'm 14, I go to the gym early now cause it's summer. I journal. I try to hangout with friends. I try to find stuff to do but they can't come over. I can't do anything. I focus the diet and hydration. I focus my skills. I went on a run. But I can't find anything else to do with 8 hours left in the day. I don't have a job yet. I can't buy anything. I stretch. I do additional stuff like abs pushups pullups. I don't have any books that will strengthen my self improvement. I just listen to music and look at the wall. I'm always waiting for my friends to answer my texts. I do all my school work so I don't have anything to do. The one thing I can think about right is riding a bike. I went to the woods but there was nothing to do since I was by myself and I wasn't trying to accomplish anything. I need some ideas to do during the rest of my day.
You can start meditation. You are doing great by doing all this stuff when you're still very young. You can try cooking, plumbing, electrical, or programming. You can even start a business.
Learn to cook, that's one of the most fundamental abilities in life. You could also try some form of art; music, drawing, writing poems or short stories, painting or folding origami. Making any kind of artistic activity is a way of expressing your emotions and canalizing your mental energy that's different from every other thing. You don't have to be good at first, just do it and knowledge will come with time.
This comment and replies motivated me to manage my time more productively and do things that will benefit me instead of instant gratification. Thanks for the ideas and motivation. I’m trying to stop going on technology so much and putting things off I should be doing. I also have so much free time that I think oh I can just do it later, but I really should just not waste this precious time and do what I want to do at that moment. Then I will have more time for other productive things to do and learn, and eliminate procrastination. Going to keep working on this
I just worked a 15h shift minimum wage, I need to find my way to get a better income and way of life I feel like your videos are very motivational thanks 🙏
I saw you in my dream last night. But you were portrayed as my higher self. In my dream I was in a rut and then I found you sitting on a couch and you said something like: “I cannot inform you how to escape this situation, however I can offer you awareness.” A brief moment of deep knowledge gained from my perspective on the world, and it really reflects how I feel when I watch your videos.
You overcome laziness when you’re able to do the things you usually hate doing. For example, I don’t like running, but I still force myself to do it because weight training alone (without cardio) won’t get me to where I want to be.

As a car guy, I appreciate your analogy, thank you
@@am0eba168 Ahahha I'm glad I could be of help :)
Perfect
I've been working on my mental health as my main goal for years.
But mental health will improve more if you do self improvement itself then trying to figure out what's wrong with you.
Working on your mental health and therapy is a background work that is very important but it takes at least 3 years to heal when it's deeply rooted in your being.
For me mental health is 95% good habits and self improvement mentality.
You just have to say fuck it to your issues when they comeback to haunt you until you've healed.
love ur car example, wish u the best brah
It's not even that I'm lazy. I want to learn so many things but I can't because of money, school, parents, etc. I love watching your videos and you really inspire me
You can find a lot of information on the internet bro. Just know how and where to look. Goodluck though

Ive made MAJOR progress since that point but I struggle with my focus and productivity. As of late I've been obsessing over my diet and what food I'm putting in my body. How to have unlimited energy:
1. Skip all forms of false accomplishments (video games, porn, social media, etc)
2. Be greatful for even the little things you have (This will motivate you to take positive actions despite the ocean of excuses you might have to avoid the real work)
3. Eat Clean (Please, include healthy fats and protein in your diet. Eat 3 whole eggs, they provide the real estate for your hormones)
4. Be aware of your goals at every single step (Practice intentional Visualization).
@Captain Krishna he didn't though.

Now i wanna change, if i ever come back here after a month and nothing has changed drastically. I don't deserve to be in this cult.
Accept what happens, taoist philosophy is that, now just see your goal and flow to it.
Just have a poster on your ceiling to remind yourself when you wake up naybe?
this journey is not a speedrun, if it takes months and months to overcome your addictions that is completely fine.
@@TheTrueAdonis isn't toaism litteraly the opposite of "try to achieve your goals and ambitions"? What I remember from watching a video about it is that you just go with the flow and don't care about things like amassing wealth or trying to impress people with your physique.
@@luxeayt6694 Necessarily yes and no.

That’s when I realized I really have no other choice than to work toward my own improvement because the alternative was essentially madness.
Thank you!
You need to find things that make you feel good about yourself and confident in your own abilities. For example, working out.
For me prayers are better thousands times than Meditation

You can start meditation. You are doing great by doing all this stuff when you're still very young. You can try cooking, plumbing, electrical, or programming. You can even start a business.
Learn to cook, that's one of the most fundamental abilities in life. You could also try some form of art; music, drawing, writing poems or short stories, painting or folding origami. Making any kind of artistic activity is a way of expressing your emotions and canalizing your mental energy that's different from every other thing. You don't have to be good at first, just do it and knowledge will come with time.

@@spxncer0910 He speaks fact tbh. What hamza says is good advice but so is what wheat waffles says except for the "it's over if you're sub 5". It's never over until you're dead
@@tengenkamado8780 wheat waffles just preaches that u are screwed if your genetics are bad, which destroys hope from young men.
@@spxncer0910 Not completely true. He recommends things such as geomaxxing if you can't enter the normie tier no matter what you do. If you can he recommends dropping everything and trying to get into the normie tier for better chances
@@tengenkamado8780 everyone can look average or above in looks. every one can have high value in other areas like mental health, wealth, style, etc.
Thank you Hamza for everything you do
Once you start doing things being lazy and relaxing also feels alot more rewarding and calming aswel, when you have nothing to do or have an off day just laying around feels almost illegal.
Haha you're sort of right
haven't been watching many of your vids as of late but i'm glad i spent some time listening to you on this one . thank you
Thank you Hamza, i was feeling like shit but I feel so much better now. I will write a letter to my dad, in a week for his birthday. I've been blaming my dad for most of my problems because he's just so aggressive but deep inside i know he works hard to provide for us and has high expectations from me. Wish me luck 🤞
