Thanks for your update!! You mentioned Protect being able to use Wyze cameras. Is that an item-option that is not available yet? I’m not able to find any way to use them.
Getting an early look at what is coming up saved us a lot of money. I would have bought 2-3 nvr pros. Instead, I saved that budget and will be buying an enterprise nvr.
Need to replace my ER-10X but dont like need of 2 devices (CGU+SW8Lite) -> should I wait or nothing new for this area/price? Been already burned by buying almost EOL edgerouter, dont want to repeat that mistake with unifi.
Upcoming Products Question - I’m currently using a lot of UniFi products and looking to do more upgrades. I have a commercial alarm system that I’d like to replace. Is UniFi considering any options in their Protect software that could potentially serve as an alarm system for a commercial building?
Hi there, I’m a home user planning to make the switch to Ubiquiti, but I’m hesitant. I want to ensure I’m making the right investment now and won’t regret it if something better is released in the next few months. I do have the flexibility to wait if that would be wiser. The products I’m considering are: • 1x Cloud Gateway Max • 1x Flex Mini 2.5G • 1x Enterprise 8 PoE • 2x U7 Pro Wall • 1x U7 Outdoor • 2x G5 Turret Ultra • 1x G4 Doorbell Pro PoE Kit • 1x G4 Instant My goal is to spend my hard-earned money wisely, and I’d appreciate any advice on whether it’s best to move forward now or wait a bit longer. Thanks very much for your guidance!
I didn't see anything about new doorbells, so in general the cameras and APs that you chose are a fine choice that will not be replaced any time soon. Advice regarding your POE switch choice - the enterprise 8 poe is a great switch but to futureproof your deployment you should look at something like the pro max 16 poe. cheers!
great to see you there

Not Wyze cameras. 3rd party ONVIF compliant cameras. Not sure if Wyze is ONVIF-compliant.

There are some awesome gateways coming but no timeline. I wouldn’t wait if what they have now works for you. There’s going to be the next thing.
Appreciate the recap, particularly upcoming products.
So, what about 2.5 gb switches? And any new sfp+ switches too?
Yes. You might have seen some insane enterprise campus switches were just announced. There’s smaller switches coming.
@ interesting, i will wait

Hmm not really. There will be some expansion in type of products but not for an alarm system.
Neat roundup! My integration is smart zoned heating but I doubt that is on their roadmap
It was great to meet you too!
It was an awesome event! It was great meeting you!

@ thanks! And what about the cloud gateway max? Also OK to proceed?
Start with your internet speed. What is it? Will be recording motion events only or 24/7?
@ internetspeed is only 500Mbps for the moment but I like the idea to be future proof. Motion events will be sufficient.
