Didn’t hear you mention drive compatibility, I know ubiquity promotes ubiquity drives. You had Hitachi and Seagate I believe in your NAS. The reason I’m moving away from Synology is their attitude on non-Synology drives. Great review
Thanks the awesome video! I'd love to see how the drive mounting works with Unifi Identity, as an MSP, a huge issue we get with our native azure ad users is mapped drives disconnecting (as no more gpo), and our mapping scripts just not always working, having a one click way for a user to mount a share would really solve alot of tickets for us. Also would be really appreciated if you tested the Azure/Entra ID integration.
Can you please tell me if it has the option to turn off the NAS if they are not used in a certain period of time? I read somewhere that this can be programmed to save energy, is that true?
Apparently Raid6 will be implemented soon. If its not out by launch does anyone know if you will be able to rebuild a R5 array to R6 by adding an additional disk?
very basic nas, it wil grow hopefully. the share work only by relay, no possibility to direct to the nas like quickconnect? the backup is just a cloud sync? 7 disk only 1 storage pool? umh..dunno. It's cheap, this is very cheap for a 7unit rack mount + 10sfp+, it has the most basic sw i ever see but it's very cheap..so...
Will, your hannel has helped me SOOOOOO much. Thank you so much for all of your hard work!
really appreciate it!
"i'll open up my windows file explorer" at 15:15 on your mac. i love it!
All I care about is the performance when the unas pro has it's drives network mapped to a standalone plex server.
Can you tell us whats the power consumption with 2, 4 and 7 HDDs in use and idle is?
I love this Videos!
Thank you!

I feel like this is gonna fit my needs very well. Especially with the price point. Wondering when it will be available to order.
At last I heard it was going to be this Monday!
Thanks the awesome video!

Do all drives need to be the same size? If I start with two drive raid how would I add two more drives later?

What are the considerations of picking BTRFS vs. ZFS for this unit?
How loud are the fans if put in an office environment? Are the desk feet included?
For video editing (4k) on UNAS, Raid 5 or Raid 10? I would imagine Raid 10... Or,. what if SSDs are used in Raid 5?
I normally avoid RAID10, but technically it would likely perform a bit better for video editing, but it comes at a great storage cost
Will this sync with my google drive and download all of my google drive files to it?
Do you know if it is possible to sync two of these? basically have a second backing up the first?
Can you add drive later like SHR in Synology?
Yes! By the way you can add the drives later with RAID5/6 as well, not just SHR

does anyone know if it is possible to backup a synology nas (422+) to the UNAS pro?
Is it possible to migrate from 2 drives (raid 1) to 3 drives (raid 5)? with the current software?
have not tested just yet. I would assume so
Not sure but can you test it?
Why is the user interface so different from regular unify naz
