Living in Ohio I could tell you, take 76 till you get to 80. Then take 80. 80 is our toll road but once 76 crosses it, 76 becomes the toll road and 80 then becomes a regular road. Don't worry, plenty O' country to look at on that route too. 💪🙃👌💜

Alex is quite interesting to watch once in a while. He seems to be a good decent young man. He definitely struggles a lot in his backing skills and quite often he drives through and on non-truck routes, but other than that he is learning fairly well for someone that hasn't been driving very long. Way to go Alex !
Alex, when an air compresser makes air, the humidity gets compacted with it. So unless you have a dehydrator in the line, water builds up in the lines. So you opened the drain valve to get it out, so the air mechanism that actuates the tandems has more air to work. I recommend draining the line when you shut down for the night. Or at least every 3 days, depending on usage.
Most got air driers on them now days. But when I drove I always try drain my tanks every few days depending on amount of build-up. Just part of regular maintenance.
Another great video Alex, it is always so interesting to watch the life of an over the road driver. I am a purchasing manager for an agricultural equipment manufacturing company. Watching your video's gives me a lot of insight on how all the parts I buy actually get to our company and to our production line. Trucks come and go all day long at our loading dock but that is all I see from my office, it is really interest to see all the rest of the logistics the drivers go through to get to us. I would love to see more of your workout routine, I often wonder what drivers do to keep fit after sitting all those hours on the road. We are lucky, out facility is in the country and we have a large park like setting with trees and paths we can get out of the office and walk or jog on. I get to bring my dog to work every day and I take him out for a walk once or twice per day so I can get up and move around and stretch my legs and just get out of the office for a while, I agree with you, just seeing highway and trucks all day must get dull, I know staring at a computer screen all day sure does.
Learn how to use your load suspension gauge and you can know how much wait you have on your drives. It will save you a lot of scale trips. Have a great day keep the rubber side down.
Shakers have an airdryer after the compressor and before the tanks. If you have moisture in your tanks, more than a few drops, your air dryer needs to be serviced. There is another tank on the trailer, that is the one you want to drain, you have no idea if the previous users had air dryers, or if theirs are working. If the pins don't retract, look up underneath, you will see a bolt and a nut that connects the pin to the release. If the bot is missing,at least one will not retract. Should ask the trailer shop for a few spares and have them show you where they are.
Also depending where in Pennsylvania you’re going to you can take I-80 and take pretty much any state road or route. 66 is common to get to east of Pittsburgh, 222 is good for center state or Altoona area. 81 is good to go through Harrisburg, and 476 takes you to Philly/baltimore
Alex you were shouting so bad at Garmin !!!!!!!!!!!!"14 ADDD AS NEXT STOPPP"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣 made my day, Technology is not perfect - made by humans that make mistakes🤣🤣😂😂 made my day man thank you
I just spent the last three hours watching your videos and it was very entertaining. Great quality videos and insight into the trucking industry. I could tell you love your job and you are an excellent driver. Stay safe out there. You have a new subscriber., thanks for keeping me entertained.
6 states solo would be so much more tolerable if you had your CB radio hooked up. Safer too. You could have asked someone for help moving the tandems. It is a very important tool. Use it !!
No kidding. When I drove from Green Bay, WI to Idaho Falls, ID, it allowed me to get into a group. I broke wind for the group. Then I got put in the rocking chair on the next leg because I had been driving for 16 hours straight by then. It helped me so much!!
CB radio with save your behind. Why truckers not using them much now days is a mystery. I use to have Police/Fire/Rescue scanner too. Now days scanners getting so technical not unless local you can't keep them programed for all the different areas.
I find it useful for knowing what lane to be in when an accident is ahead or if you have something wrong with your truck that you can't see. Sometimes people will say something to you if they see a problem with your rig. Everyone should have one.
my first solo run with STEPHENS i went to blaine wa. from mesquite that was the main yard,i really liked going to canada went to alberta once new york many times every state in the lower 48 we drove blue trucks at that time i got my cdl with 96
Sometimes If your at an incline or not leveled ground, it puts those pins in a bind or if your air pressure is not build up all the way in they won't pull out.
If the pin does not go in two things, if all the other pins go in there is a pin that holds the air valve arm to the pin, or if both pins do not go in it’s the air valve for those pins. When I worked for them had same problem with trailer had a screw and nuts so was able to fix quick.
Alex you had me laughing when you were screaming at your GPS, I have a Garmin also so I can totally relate. I have to do the same thing. You would think that these truck GPS's would have better mics built in for the noisyness of a truck cab.
Dude....the least you could do is fix the garbage bag the way you found it since you're the one that caused it to not be wrapped around the bin. Way to go. Now I feel bad for the person that has to change that after so much shit now is not going to land in the bag.
On the Garmin it’s under Tractor settings and Edit Route. Or you can go on Settings and go under where it says to Avoid Toll roads and certain highways
Hey Alex the trucking guy I am a truck driver to I see your company truck all over up and down I 70 I am started a channel been watching u for a little bit
Alex, have you figured out yet that the irritating rattling is actually caused by the bottles in your refrigerator *DOOR,* ironically not any of the items that you wrapped in those orange towels? I can tell by the sound signature.
I don't leave the interstate just because Garmin offers an alternate route for accidents. Almost never worth it. Especially if I can't look at the Atlas to check it out first.
Hey Alex you’re video was very exciting and kind of scary driving thru those back roads for a big trailer but in a car it be nice driving in the back rd than the highways love seeing nature will be safe and Happy Easter 🐰
SO BUMMED!! You were literally minutes from my house. I would have loved to have taken you to a good restaurant for a meal. If only you could let me know the next time that you come to Western PA, I could make that happen!
There's one fact i've noticed when I was in driver training thru a carrier, They never put grease on the sliding tandems especially from the trailer(s).
Alex, are you not supposed to check that the trailer is truly empty after unloading by Receiver ? That would have spotted that dishwasher carton left behind.
24:13 As a trucker for a short while in my youth the average person doesn't realize the pressure you are under in this situation with arrogant aggressive thug truck drivers watching you and wanting you to hurry up I put off my hat to you my Friend it's a HARD job
Hey Alex, man they stuck you with good ths time, I'd tell them I don't do returns! I can't believe they don't give you a box truck for that? That's what I do. I think I had a return 6 months ago it was a hot water heater, I brought it back in a box truck.Semis are too big for certain streets and I would have been stuck on several streets that were really narrow. It's also tornado season, becareful, that's why I stick to the east coast. I only get HURRICANES and they suck too!
Alex if you’re the captain of the ship don’t let dispatch try to make you go on road that is not in the Garmin GPS just because they trying to save money on tolls your the captain you tell them the road you’re taking if not move to a different company that’s not going to do that to you your license is not worth it going through a route that your using google maps

Have you ever considered a paycheck video? There’s a bunch of first year CDL pay check reviews but not much for a experienced truck driver pay
Use the wayz app for maps

It takes a while to get backing down on a newer driver I have 5 or 6 months and I still struggle it’s gonna take years to fully master it

I knew that back in the 50s riding with my uncle. I guess that’s the difference between learning to drive at a “school “than learning it the real way
Love your video, it's refreshing to see a young ambitious driver, who takes care of himself and doesn't live like a slob in thectruck

I've been sitting on the sidelines for 10 and a half months, so even watching a rookie like you makes me homesick for the road.
why are you out rn?
Going to trucker school this November, got a five year plan to buy land and set up a homestead and be off the road in five years
Learn how to use your load suspension gauge and you can know how much wait you have on your drives. It will save you a lot of scale trips. Have a great day keep the rubber side down.
Hey can you give me some insight on how I can go about learning this
Some trucks come with that gauge. Some don't,. My actual truck has that gauge n my previous trucks didn't.
Those freightliners don’t have it mines a 2020 and doesn’t have it
No don’t do that it will not be accurate all the time can save you a bad record violation and tickets
Not all trucks have them.
I pull the tank drains at least once a week, even in summer. I'm really surprised you've never done this before.
Up until 2005, I worked in the building next to the one you picked up at, in Rogers. Cool to see you were in my area.
Garmin has a feature in the settings called “avoidances” under navigation. You can set it to always ask if you want to go down a toll road or not
Shakers have an airdryer after the compressor and before the tanks. If you have moisture in your tanks, more than a few drops, your air dryer needs to be serviced. There is another tank on the trailer, that is the one you want to drain, you have no idea if the previous users had air dryers, or if theirs are working. "Avoid Tolls" is the setting you are looking for.

Alex keep some penetrating oil in the truck for trailers with stuck pins. Won't always fix it but it definitely helps.
I just spent the last three hours watching your videos and it was very entertaining. Great quality videos and insight into the trucking industry. I could tell you love your job and you are an excellent driver. Stay safe out there. You have a new subscriber., thanks for keeping me entertained.
Pretty cool to see Alex in your city, I know the exact smell he was talking about when he got out of the truck from the bakery around the corner

He can't plug an antenna and connect 2 wires. But he makes good videos.
@@DonRamonGontano Agree !
I find it useful for knowing what lane to be in when an accident is ahead or if you have something wrong with your truck that you can't see. Sometimes people will say something to you if they see a problem with your rig. Everyone should have one.
that poor garmin gets yelled at more than I have when I didn't hold the flashlight right
my first solo run with STEPHENS i went to blaine wa. from mesquite that was the main yard,i really liked going to canada went to alberta once new york many times every state in the lower 48 we drove blue trucks at that time i got my cdl with 96
I love ur journeys!!! Thanks for bringing us along 😊.❤ NewJersey ❤
Sometimes If your at an incline or not leveled ground, it puts those pins in a bind or if your air pressure is not build up all the way in they won't pull out.
I saw a truck and trailer just like this on my town’s Walmart parking lot last night. Southern Nebraska.
Love your videos Alex, Thanks for taking us along your day. Stay Safe out there. 😊❤🙏👊
God bless your miles and smiles
Don’t panic! When you smell the aroma of lucky charms, it’s only the stench of Pennsylvanian leprechauns
I live in PA . The roads are not made for trucks . Be safe out their . Great video Alex
I just moved to Brooksville. That is an amazing job. Looks like tons of fun. hahahaha
If the pin does not go in two things, if all the other pins go in there is a pin that holds the air valve arm to the pin, or if both pins do not go in it’s the air valve for those pins. When I worked for them had same problem with trailer had a screw and nuts so was able to fix quick.
We love your content Alex 🎉 Alex let me come and shadow you. You seem so patient and kind ❤️
You must try the soup. Borscht for example. My father said it was healthy food for the stomach. Namely liquid food.
Video over🥲 I’m only halfway thru my popcorn! Great Video as always. I love when you yell at the Garmin 😂
As soon as I saw him do that, I went straight to the comments to see if anyone else said anything. Haha. But for real, he coulda fixed the dam bag.
18:26……fix that trash can Alex😂😂😂😂Shame on you
Love the road trips you take us on.
What I do with the slide axel, is if it's stuck pull on it and back into it with your trailer brakes still set and it should pop the pins loose.
You can use your dumbbells for incline bench press. They make a great chest workout routine 👌🏼
On the Garmin it’s under Tractor settings and Edit Route. Or you can go on Settings and go under where it says to Avoid Toll roads and certain highways
Hi ALEX , I have my orientation in a week with GP can’t wait
Please please please, Alex, get a cb. It's come in clutch to find alt routes from other truckers when there are accidents and such.
Dude, you must’ve been so comfortable at headquarters, especially with all the spaghetti
I didn’t catch many signs when you were super close but I think you were at the Giant Eagle on 30 in Greensburg, PA
Alex I really like your videos and you are so fun and keep up the good work and be safe my brother out there.
35:13 WHY HAVE THE HAZARDS ON IN A EMPTY PARKING LOT😭😭. love the vids tho Alex😁
All legal big load to go. I like the rides felt I was there. Keep em coming keep truck-in
My favourite part of the video is when you were singing "Spaghetti"...
Hey Alex the trucking guy I am a truck driver to I see your company truck all over up and down I 70 I am started a channel been watching u for a little bit
if your air lines are getting water in them, you need to change your air dryer filter.
You CAN use dumbbells for chest day look it up.
Nice video brother ❤❤
No wonder they want you to avoid I 76, the most expensive toll road in the world. Google maps has an option to avoid toll roads.
So true
I-76 is a toll road you can use I-80 going west or East 80 is free no charge.
See you were near my home in Rogers Minnesota. If you thought that was cold you should have been there a few weeks ago when it was-20 degrees
HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE👏👏👏 HAVE A BEAUTIFUL DAY
At 17:08 you’re right in my neck of the woods. I hate that interchange so much 😅
The spaghetti song was a hit. I need that on wax asap my friend.
Ehh my neck of the woods in Rogers, mn! Nice to know you drove through my town!
on your garmin there a option in settings i believe that lets you choose avoid toll roads long your route love the video as always alex
On your GPS go to settings and setup GPS for to evoid toll roads that avoid all toll roads
Maybe you should consider getting an atlas and stop depending on that GPS...thats going to end up costing you or the company alot of money.
Atlas doesn't show you very much dummy , gps shows actual views of the route and streets.... Atlas can't give you a street view...
For future reference you can set your garmin to avoid toll roads. That would’ve saved you the headache.
Next time your pins stick pull forward a little bit then pull the trolley brake down then set your brakes pull the button see if that does the trick
You gotta get something like PB Blaster or wd40 to give it some lubrication.
Who also noticed that scandinavian drivers are so skilled b/c of narrow roads!
GPS have settings to avoid tolls!!
Hey Alex you’re video was very exciting and kind of scary driving thru those back roads for a big trailer but in a car it be nice driving in the back rd than the highways love seeing nature will be safe and Happy Easter 🐰
That's an Amish community you are going thru in Ohio. Very small roads. I live close by!
I’m at the Loves in Huntington IN and I’m surrounded by GP Transco drivers! I’d be interested driving for GP but I’m a Canadian driver.
And I love u'r adventures .so funny 😊😊😊😊
Woke up this morning singing the spaghetti song. It's catchy.
I’m going to Wisconsin too over the weekend 🎉
Happy Easter and drive safe! 😊
When you were at GP headquarters, why didn't you get your trailer fixed you had the time. Stay safe.
Great video ALEX I like those 1hr long video that you posted can we get more...Thanks
Did you try setting the trailer brakes, releasing the pins, them reverse or pull forward to release tension on the pins?
Alex, are you not supposed to check that the trailer is truly empty after unloading by Receiver ? That would have spotted that dishwasher carton left behind.
That 's what DEF stands for Diesel Exhaust Fuel - it's the color of Windex
24:13 As a trucker for a short while in my youth the average person doesn't realize the pressure you are under in this situation with arrogant aggressive thug truck drivers watching you and wanting you to hurry up I put off my hat to you my Friend it's a HARD job
Ugh. I’ve seen soooo many people hitting their tandems with hammers. Don’t ever do that. Rock your trailer back and forth. It’ll unlock.
i went from carlisle pa kanakee ill. and then down to houston grocery supply crappy place with angled docks a candy load from Hershey
Rest in peace brother.
?
Alex , It's called DEF - Diesel Exhaust Fuel
Why hasn't anyone installed backup cameras on those things?? It's as easy as 1-2-3...
Wow Alex, I can’t believe I’ve been in the shower with you 😂. Happy trucking bro stay safe
Lotta work just to bring back a dishwasher. Id have just carried it to the dock, probably doesn't weigh any more then 150 pounds.
awesome video need to find someone at your shop to hook your CB radio
where you in greensburg pa or irwin i'm 20 miles south of greenburg biscotti is a really good bakery keep on truckin
Looked like Greensburg to me, especially when he went back to the docks.
Good video Alex 🚛👋
Felt like I was listening to cartman off South Park when you were singing about the spaghetti 😂
what is the function of an instrument you used to wear on your Cape??
Does your Garmin not respond to the verbal command, "Cancel Navigation", so that it will stop trying to direct you in the parking lot?
Alex if you’re the captain of the ship don’t let dispatch try to make you go on road that is not in the Garmin GPS just because they trying to save money on tolls your the captain you tell them the road you’re taking if not move to a different company that’s not going to do that to you your license is not worth it going through a route that your using google maps
Was saving money on tolls worth the extra cost of fuel going the long way...???
