ECU Master Product Description
This plug and play adapter harness allows for the installation of an EMU Black in an 02-05 IS300 or an 02-05 GS300. This is a parallel harness, meaning that the original ECU is retained and controls the automatic transmission (if applicable. Adapter works for both manual and automatic vehicles), dash cluster, HVAC and throttle body.

Hi very interesting video I have a Toyota altezza sxe10 with a 1jzgte vvti jzx110 I am wondering if the Ecu Master will control the engine fully and is just the engine transmission alone is not controlling

What did you do with the b1s1 b1s2 02 sensors just disconnect them??
@@TylerF30 only need 1 wideband sensor in your down pipe to read afr’s no other sensors are needed anymore being standalone

thank you for this video and the step by step for ecumaster install... question, or in your opinion... the ECUmaster pnp adapter for the 2jzgte vvti should be quite similar in installation, and pinout, yes? I have a JDM 1996 Supra with a 2jzGTE VVTI engine. thank you again.
Haltech makes one for is300 but not gs300 but seeing this video I'm subscribed to him and I'll buy this instead

How do you run your cam and crank sensors? the grounds are factory spliced together, how do you read resistance?
the yellow cables from the adapter (adapter to ecu) are included in the kit

We did a slick engine mount on this setup! Going inside is definitely a great option as well!

this is crazy. where do guys like you learn all this stuff? aside from yt vids and forum posts is there literature and books and courses and what not?
Do you know if you can raise the rev limiter, even with e-shift? Or will the trans still shift at 6800rpm?
Is this turbo motor running the non return style fuel system or is it using a return system.
Does this ecm allow to run individual coil on plug as well ?
With this black ecu master ecu will you still be able to pass emissions test that plugs into the 0bd2 connector?

Where did you put the emu black. Same location in the engine bay or were you able to relocate it inside? I feel like it won’t reach so I figured I’d ask before I continue with location.
Did you ever do a follow up video with the automatic IS? I’d like to see dyno numbers and tu ability. Any drawbacks?
Me too, the ecumaster setup looks great. Would love to build an is300 / gs300 + turbo, my only concern is how much power a stock auto transmission can take?
@@dan91sgarage the platform is old enough to drink. This has been covered extensively in at least 2 forums. Auto trans can take the most abuse of any stock offering (manual or automatic). The main thing is you have to shim the auto trans to hold the higher power. I think you're good to ~400 WHP, or more, reliably
Do you have to calibrate the throttle body or does stock ecu controlling it
Is your build a na-t on a unopened engine? If not what do you have done to the engine?

As long as the tune is set up correctly and the modifications ! Yes you should be able too!
with this ecu, in e-shift can you select gear 1-5 and the auto transmission not change the gear?

Were you able to come up with a method to keep the stock ecu in its factory location and be able to put some kind of cover on it that would fit over the yellow plug n play harness wires?
You can tuck everything into the factory box just gotta cut a small whorl for the harness to come out of

Hey so im a little confused are you able to control the drive by wire on this because when i go to look the product page it says this: "The ETSC-i throttle body must remain connected to the stock ECU to correctly control the automatic transmission. For this reason, the EMU will not have control of the ETSC-i TB." Im not sure what that means can the stanealone still control drive by wire or is that something completely different?
I just installed my EMU black set up or actually my tuner is and I got my car back from him this weekend for some reason starting or like a hot start. I will have to give it a little bit of gas and cranking it and he is telling me normal because of the drive by flyers is there anyway possible I can make adjustments to where I just keptthe car without gas

Is this PNP for a 03 GS300 GE VVTI A340? I have an AEM V2 that no one wants to wire/ touch in Florida.. harness is discontinued..easier to swap ECUs and find a speed shop.?? Been bouncing around shops.. Titan, Induction, and they will not touch the wiring. They just want to sell me parts…

Do ecu master leave pigtails in the pnp harness for gauges? Clt,afr, psi? So we don't have to tap into a wire to use for out gauges

It did very well on the Dyno! Unfortunately we had a busy day at the shop that day and were not able to capture it on the Dyno!

Thinking about getting this for my 2003 GS300. I'm in France, to pass an inspection here none of the dash lights can be on. So no check engine and no traction control lights, ABS etc. OBD2 port must also work. Does this harness and ECU cause any check lights or codes on the factory ECU?
If set up correctly it will not throw any codes or lights
Wow, I'm definitely getting this for my IS build. Is that a stock motor, like the pistons/rods? How much boost are you guys running?

I noticed in the last clip of this video where you did a pull, I heard a slight hiccup, did you find out what that was? I have something similar going on

Believe this kit is more towards the vvti engines. The plug and play worn work but the ecu will. They do have a pnp kit for the sc300 but it's for the ecumaster emu and not the black series. U honestly probably don't need to buy the black one if you can run the emu.
Do you enter in the injector size? Saw you test them but didn't hear anything about selection

Will the plug and play kit work on a total engine swap? I’m putting the 2jzna-t into a 300zx, I have the stock ECU but 2 connectors are cut ( i think they are from the body harness)

Yes it would depending on your set up but we all always recommend checking the ECU Masters USA website for compatibility
is this on a stock exhaust? If so what components was used to mount with the headers to fit ?
This is turbo so no not stock exhaust

I welded the bung onto I’m the intake pipe

I would recommend the 5 speed if you have the option.
My emu state says inactive and when I go to output assignments they Al say not assigned ?

Ecu black is pretty expensive for what you get but thats just my opinion now.
i have a question do i buy the is300 adapter or the 1jz adapter because im going to engine swap my is300 with a 1jz vvti ?

Are you having issues tuning the is300. I have a buddy with this same set up but on his gs400 with a 2jzgte vvti swap and his issue is the throttle body is wanting to close at wot. I’m my self have this same set up for my is300 2jzgte swap vvti I haven’t installed it yet due to him having the issue. Maybe you can shed some light on where to start.
Just yesterday My car started doing that. Factory ecu. Gonna inspect the encoder. Soldier joints.
Fortunately we did not have an issue with the throttle body wanting to shut at wot
@@TrackstarMediaworks on another IS300 the lead free soldier joints cracked. I quick repair was all it took. On the accelerator position sensor.

How much horsepower is this ecu rated for ?
ECUs don’t have a horsepower limit necessarily. Your engine build will be your restriction. Not ECU
