    The title gives the impression that something is WRONG with the EMU Black so it's a tad clickbaity, BUT this information is fantastic. I'm considering an ECU Master solution for my R32 GTR. MAP and Flex Fuel are in my future!

    For the money this is hands down the best stand-alone I have used to date. My grudge car (18xxHP turbo LSX) is still running FuelTech, and I don’t have anything bad at all to say for that system, it has some data capabilities that the Black system does not offer so for no prep and grudge it’s a better choice for me. But when I decided to build another import (88x99 K24 on a Gen 2 6766) just for leisure racing I went with this system and couldn’t be happier. The tune is dialed in perfectly and though this car doesn’t see the street, it could easily be streetable with this EMS.

    Good for almost any engine, as long as you don't have more than 2 variable camshafts. (To be fair, most ECUs at this price can't do it) That excludes newer EJ20's or EZ30 engine with double AVCS. Technicaly VR input count is sufficent. Hope it can actualy be improved with just software. update.

My local performance garage is an emu dealer so I have already seen the ecu it's self, it's tiny compared to a link or syvecs and the laminated pinout card is such a good ideal!!!! Clickbait means you've watched the video and found the content to not be on topic or up to scratch correct? Let us know what you didn't like about this product run down and we'll take it on board =) - Taz.

    • @jamesashe
      @jamesashe 6 років тому +25

      The problem isn't the content. The problem is the title. When you put a big warning triangle in the title AND bold the word 'before', you're telling your audience that you've found a major problem with the ECU. You're telling us: this is important to know because it's not what it seems.
      What you've made, is an unboxing and feature list video. That's a valuable thing to have, especially since EMU is sometimes not that great at documentation. But it's not what you advertised with your title.
      The response above yours echos my sentiment.

    • @amadafaka
      @amadafaka 6 років тому +5

      High Performance Academy I thought the video was informative and did watch the entire video looking for what the exclamation point was about. I found nothing so it was just an unboxing of a good product. Did I miss something?

    • @hpa101
      @hpa101  6 років тому +6

      @Mastodon We've always had products on here. We are not paid to talk about anything, and we don't sell any hardware so we can say whatever we like. What other channels (related to this industry) can say that? =)
      I will admit we've got a run on from PRI at the moment which is why it seems a bit 'heavy' on product videos, but as above we're not trying to sell you these things and there isn't even one of those sneaky links to manufacturers that get us a share of any of their sales either.
      We're heading to Pikes Peak soon and then WTAC so there will be more car focused ones again, but that said, there is still a lot of interesting tech knowledge coming out videos that feature different products. The fuel filter one last week was great for example - Taz.

      What it gives you is a lot of extra money in your pocket! It's not that the EMU Black does things that other ECUs can't, but it provides an impressive and powerful feature list at a very competitive price. We haven't seen an ECU with a comparable feature set at this price point before.
