I am always here for a round of Cesar appreciation. Standing in the company of giants, he gets overlooked so easily and it's just a tragedy and a crime. Loved this reaction, thank you!
I love Ashley's voice so much! But what really makes her special is how intensely she emotes. She can make you cry at the drop of a hat. Same with Cesar. He has the sweetest male voice I have ever heard! Of all the members of VoicePlay (all of whom I ADORE), he is the king of emoting/feeling/acting his parts. I mean they all emote beautifully, but Cesar truly is an actor and you believe everything he emotes/acts! I never want him to leave Voiceplay, but I would love to see him get a chance to really use those acting chops in a movie or on Broadway. I have a feeling (having been a director myself) that the depths of his real talents are as yet untapped. I LOVE your analysis, you are always so spot on with your observations and insights. You got a pretty decent Geoff impersonation too! LOL
This year, Eli is taking charge of more videos for Voiceplay. Although he didn’t do the arranging (it was Rob Dietz) he did tell Rob what he was looking for. He directed, and did the incidental filming for the video. And he got Cesar to take charge of the costuming. I think it’s great that we’re getting Eli’s fresh look on things.
Voiceplay is so good at expressing the feels of a song. This was beautiful and Eli's vision for the video was outstanding! Great Geoff impression, too!
Kinda fun when I'm scrolling through reactions to various songs (I watch a LOT of reacter channels) and I see the thumbnail for your reaction to this song. And what literally pops out of my mouth is, "O, cool, 1Mannz's reaction, I gotta go see that." :P And I know it's a relatively new reaction, people, but come on. He's got almost 2K followers and only (as of me writing this) 100 likes??
🤩That was unexpected! The call, I mean. Caught me with it. I didn't realize until the end of the video that it was you.😅 I did know somehow, it wasn't the real Geoff, but I thought about an AI voice generator or 'good cutting' of existing Geoff snippets!😜 Perhaps the song was used in comedy, because it's really known as a sad emotional song. That would make sense to use it vice versa in comedy (I mean, "My heart will go on" is used in comedy, too very often). I do like the setting, the little story/music video parts and of course the location. I've never been to a real pinball arcade like that. Arcades aren't a big thing at least in my region in Germany, sadly. You'll find more the adult "Casinos" with slot machines, digital poker (but also billiard tables). In the 90s there were more gaming arcades, but mainly with Video games from Sega (Outrun, Virtua Fighter or the great motion jet machine "Afterburner") and some others like these. Sometimes there were one to four pinball tables, too. But not that regularly. I'm a pinball fan (especially Williams tables). I have a good digital collection in Pinball FX, but nothing beats a real pinball table with the fancy mechanics.🤩
I'm glad you enjoyed the "phone call" 😂 I wanted to do something goofy and try my hand at a Geoff impersonation. I've always loved arcades and gaming in general, so this one was special for me. Also I love getting to read and hear about your own experiences. I had a SEGA when I was a kid. Loved Street Fighter and Sonic myself.
They are totally going for an '80's look and environment to match the release timing of the original. Cesar and Ashley are great in this. I like Rob's arrangement too; especially Geoff's low bass, mostly in the background, is just right.
There was no Spanish in Bonnie Tylor’s version, but there was a very popular Spanish duet of this song. The words aren’t (of course) a direct translation, but still capture the feeling of the song.
Not sure if you have ever reacted to Linda Ronstadt but she has an album that I think you would probably enjoy. It's called "Canciones de Mi Padre" ( "Songs of my Father"). Not for a review but just for your own entertainment.
I've never heard this in a comedy, it was heartbreaking when it first came out, and still is, for me. It came out in the 80s and that's the feeling they're going for. Maybe you're too young to pick that up. :)

I'm right there with you, love to see Cesar shine!

I agree, Top to bottom I thought it was excellent.
Eli did a stellar job with this one.
I knew it wasn't Geoff who picked that pink and baby blue shirt for himself. 😅😂

Great Geoff impression, too!
Cesar and Ashley were incredible in this. Brought tears to my eyes. Both Cesar and Ashley come by the Spanish naturally.
I always enjoy your Voice Play reactions- thanks!
Thank you so much.
I am looking so much forward to watching your reaction!!! I can't right now, but will jump right on it as soon as possible (probably on Wednesday)
I hope you enjoy it!

The song was from 1982, the arcade is symbolic.
Loved it.
I just want to spend a day hitting up an arcade with Cesar! He looks like it would be a blast! 😂😂
For real though
Cesar made me cry during “Creep.”
I understand why. He captures emotion so well.

Couldn't agree more, I think it's one of the best covers we've gotten this year.

I may have to check out the spanish version. I thought those moments were quite beautiful.

I'll give it a listen! Thanks
@@1MannzOpinionI’ve heard parts of it and it’s beautiful. I’m old, so I heard it when it was new!

I tried to touch more on that toward the end of the reaction.
