hi friends!!! oh my goodness I am SO excited to be back. For those who kept up on the vlog channel during my maternity leave, thanks for coming back over to the main channel too! And for those who haven’t seen me in 3 months, hello again! 💕
excited to have you back babe!
Welcome back!!!!💞
welcome back missed you sm
Mickey Mouse ears distracting
Been watching SSirl faithfully since I've been pregnant (22wks) & now excited to see your new main channel vids!
The “I like plaid” video clips are ABSOLUTELY my favorite. YAY FOR BEING BACK SIERRA💕 It feels like you never left(:
✨I'VE BEEN WAITIN FOR THIS ONE ✨
TURN IT UP
Yassss
YESSS
We need a Carrie-Sierra collab ASAP!!
@@alisonh528 I’ve been wanting another one for soooo long
Even as a straight sized person I can still relate to going to the mall and being disheartened because nothing fits you right. It's so hard to find things that interest you let alone fit you
I'm sure it was a hard balance to strike, but I thought this had the perfect amount of staying on the fashion topic while not pretending the last few months didn't happen. Staying on topic but talking about your postpartum life and your daughter when it applied. Loved it!
Ah yes, “casual, eclectic, athleisure, minimalist.” The new “genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist”
You have won UA-cam comments!
Sierra is the new Batman
*Iron Man
🤣🤣🤣
Fun fact that I just wanted to share, you’re considered postpartum for the full 12 months post birth! I just found this fact really helpful in my postpartum experience (which officially ended Saturday for me!)
The cuts to “I like plaid” are killing me 😂😂
I loved this video. It made me feel so SEEN as a plus size person who cannot fit in the clothes at most stores (and is really specific about what I want from my clothes). I’m sorry that you went through so many pieces and stores that didn’t work for you, but I’m so glad you shared it with us. So much of the time when I see people shopping on UA-cam they only show what works!
Exactly. I also noticed a huge shift during the pandemic at stores like American Eagle who did use to keep more of a diverse size range in store, just stopped. I genuinely struggled at one point to find pants over a 12 at our local store after my pair finally gave way at the thighs, and it honestly sucked. My spouse even became frustrated at the store while he was trying to help me look for my sizes. I ended up buying jeans online from Universal Standard, but I had to buy 3 different sizes at once because I had no idea what size I was.
I absolutely hate clothes shopping. I’m one of those “I’m not standard size but I’m not plus size either” people. Nothing ever fits and when I go to try something cute I see online on in store, they never have my size and am usually told by a rude stick thin sales assistant “ oh that style doesn’t come in that size” (when it’s fully available online) or “we only get one of that size in and if it’s not on the rack then we sold it already” 🤦♀️ it honestly makes me feel like they don’t want anyone over a size 14 (us 10) in there
Agreed! And some of the clothes in plus size stores are so awful, all butterflies and diamanté’s! I like Old Navy’s approach of just making everything in bigger sizes, feels way more inclusive
Same here. I'm plus, at the biggest I've ever been, and shopping feels near impossible. I walked into an old navy recently so scared and was AMAZED at their new size selection. It was wonderful. Def recommend starting there.
@@redvinesron Ross has a lot of plus size stuff too! I've gotten so much cute stuff there. And I'm a size 20/22 and a 2X!! I recently went into an H&M and they had tons of cute stuff in my size and I believe up to a 3X. You just have to know where to go!!
The inserts of “I like plaid” did it for me😂😂 Loveddddd this come back video ❤️
They’re killing me! 😂
I'm so happy that part of finding your style included "Shopping your closet". Every other UA-camr who does this video literally goes shopping which is money I don't have. Thank you!! It's an obvious thing to do but I just never shopped my closet, so thank you so much!
“Be confident and be kind to your body”-how much I’ve missed those words!! So happy you’re back Sierra!
💕💕💕
I felt really seen watching this. Sierra post-pregnancy is my size now and watching her realize how much more difficult it is to find clothes at this size and up made my heart sink for her but also made me feel better knowing it's not just me. And I appreciated knowing she's my size now because when I look at her I don't see "fat" I just see "beautiful" and maybe that's how I should be looking at myself... Glad you're back girl :)
It definitely is how you should be looking at yourself! You are beautiful
@@lovinglifewitheli thank you so much❤️
You said exactly how I felt but didn’t know how to put into words. Thank you.
Oh my God I felt this same exact way. She's now my size and she looks so good in clothes that I never thought I could look good in. I don't know why I'm crying.
Checkout the Empty Suitcase video series for lots of great info on plus sized shopping. I’m a between sizes person and it was a refreshing take.
The editing was great! The “I like plaid” cuts had me dying😂
Same 😂
I just wanted to say great job!!! I’ve always been a fan but have kind of stopped watching the vlogs simply because I’m not in that season of my life and I don’t find the footage particularly relatable. This is on the other hand, is relatable irrespective of whether you are post partum or not. Over the pandemic, Everyone has been stuck at home, our bodies have gone through changes and our identities have also changed. so finding a style that fits postpabdemic is something that many of us are struggling with! ❤️❤️❤️
The fact that Sierra is coming off her maternity leave as literally this week I go on mine. Thanks for keeping me entertained the next 12 weeks Sierra 😁🙌🏼
“Creative hobbies.. Does rock tumbling count?”
😂😂😂
This video looks like it took a lot of time to put together. I appreciate your hard work into making high quality videos. After having three kids I have no idea what style I am or what I like. This was really helpful. Thanks so much!
as someone who is normally a 26/24 I can't tell you how validating it is to see someone sharing the struggle of finding clothes.
I can't buy anything at the mall, I only shop in the plus size section at target, but mostly online because there's way more options.
I don't wish the struggle on anyone, but thank you for sharing it.
This video is sooooo unbelievably relatable I found myself tearing up while watching you shop. I have BEEN THERE and you pushing through the struggle and shared it is just SO amazing. Thank you so much for being you! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Learning to dress yourself after size changes can be so tricky and I think you did an maintenance job at authentically showing that process here 💗 Love the final looks x
Omg this background is stunning, and feel really like we’re in your own personal space but it’s a studio !! So so beautiful. (Coming from the vlog channel 🥰😘)
Yes. Love it too. But what is that thing in the background that looks like a person with mickey ears wearing a face mask?
@@elemk it is a rainbow with micky mouse ears
Welcome back! I’m in ED recovery and my body has also changed from a 14/16 to about a 20 and you have totally inspired me. It can be so frustrating to not only figure out what your style is but then to dress it in a larger body. Ok now I’m off to buy that Eloquii blazer byeee ✌️
this was so uplifting, i went from a 12 to an 18 during covid and i feel so much better about finding new clothes that make me feel confident!
I’d love to see a more in depth video on how to dress a plus size body for the office/work life. Formal, smart casual, that kind of thing. Welcome back! We missed you ❤️
THIS! I struggle so much with business casual looks for my job. I end up just wearing cardigans and leggings 24/7
You’re “I like plaid” lol 😂 you’re so funny. Both Blair blazers look so cute and loving the color your chose. 🤗 great video!
I know haha I LOLed at that!!
honestly enjoyed seeing this, its really nice to see someone speaking on how just two sizes bigger makes shopping hard. I've been a size 28 for years (like 10 years) and now I'm a size 18 which is still not store inclusive but its still like night and day from that size 28 where I developed a purse problem because hey those always fit in every store...wait not totally true there were some crossbodies that did me dirty too lol.
Amazing first video back! Finding clothes as a size 20+ in store is so frustrating. XD
Video hasn’t started yet but GIRL, MEEE lol especially after pregnancy it was a struggle finding my new sizes in everything 🤪
I knew this was coming from the vlog and was literally waiting for it before I go shopping for the first time in 18 months! Welcome back Sierra!
Awwwwwww why did I tear up when you said “for the first time in a while I’m excited to get dressed again”… that really got me 😭😭💗 happy you’re back Sierra!!
Thank you for always being so honest and unapologetic about body changes! As I’m sure is true for a ton of people, my body has changed in the past year or so, and it’s so refreshing and comforting (and extremely helpful!) to see someone go through the same thing. It’s so hard to find clothes over a certain size, and I can’t wait to hear more of your brand recommendations in future videos!!! 🥰
I can’t believe that in 2021, more stores don’t sell extended sizing in stores. That’s a huge portion of the market that they’re alienating
I’ve been struggling a lot understanding my body and my clothing the last few months. really mourning the clothing that doesn’t fit me anymore so thank you for making such a fun video talking about changing up your style. It made me feel like I haven’t lost something but rather have the opportunity to try something new. Even though my body changed it’s not bad
I have been there.
Those style quizzes though, I laughed so hard I cried. "Does rock tumbling count" was the mood that got me.
I laughed way too hard every time you repeated the “I like plaid!” Footage 😂😂😂 on a serious note, I’m currently 7 months pregnant and watching you has always inspired me to love my body and seeing you navigate post partum gives me such hope for my future. Love you!!!
The jeans and sweater + collar look is AMAzing. Its so adorable and really 'light academic' vibe. I bless you !
I’m almost a year post-partum and I’m still figuring out my sizes and style. The best thing that I’ve done for my mental health and happiness was packing away clothes that I still liked but didn’t fit/ didn’t work for pumping and decluttering clothes I didn’t love or that didn’t fit. It’s helped me to feel better about my changing body and to embrace it fully. Thanks for the video and welcome back!
I feel your shopping experience so much. I can literally only find my size in like 1 or 2 stores or 1 or 2 things in anything my style anytime I go shopping. I love you so much for sharing this and the experience of how it is going shopping and you can’t find anything to fit you.
Also love this video overall and I’m so happy you are back and being a boss working mom!
I'm glued to your vlogging channel, so the fact that your main channel is up and running again just means **BONUSSSS** and it's 20 minutes. Bless.
“Havent taken a style quiz since I was 11 yrs old reading J-14 magazine” lol you just unlocked a memory of mine 😂
I also pray that athleisure goes into style I call that my “sporty spice” look
I feel so bad every time I’m going in the changing room and nothing fit me… Thank you for making me feel a bit less alone in that situation ❤️
Seeing you shop and look so cute in all the outfits has litterally reminded me that I do like clothes and dressing up. Thank you. 😭
To be HONEST as a nursing mom my style is “what can I get my boob out in the easiest?” 🤣🤣 sigh….
SAME! Haha glad this is a shared mindset 😂💗
The "I like plaid!" sprinkled throughout the video has me rolling 🤣
I love how transparent you are about everything and the effort you put into your videos. I'm always my heaviest while nursing and it's tough but your videos help me really feel so much more confident about dressing the body in currently in! Love, a Mom of three
This video is so relatable in terms of just going to the store in person after such a long time, I'm glad you can show the ups/downs of shopping for items again in person and the struggles/finds you had. Glad you're back! (it felt like you were never 'away' because of your frequent vlogs!) ♥ Great video!
I’m so glad you’re back!! I’ve binge watched all your old videos while you were gone and suffice to say I’m so ready for new main channel content haha!
I feel like I’ve been watching you prepare for this video, and jumping back into everything, for like a month because of the vlog channel lol. Welcome back! 💕
As a new mom myself (6 weeks) let me just tell you how much I loved this video. I am struggling accepting my postpartum body and seeing you be so accepting of your weight change and so positive about dressing your current body and feeling good in clothes again is so inspiring. Thank you so much and welcome back!
Honestly loving the way your style is evolving! I have been watching you for a while, mostly because you are interesting and know how to make a compelling video, but our styles were always very different. But I love all outfits in this vid and you have certainly given me a lot of inspiration to create new looks of my own.
I'M ALL HERE FOR THIS NEW EDIT STYLE, AND VIDEO STYLE
If this isn't the most relatable vlog especially during pandemic where almost everything changed. Kudos to you content! 🥰
You seem so laid back in this video I love it! It’s like hanging out with a friend. I love how you always improve and make your videos better. Much love!! ❤️
Came here to say this as well!! ❤️❤️❤️
I really liked how you approached the shopping part! It inspired me to do a closet clean out and get rid of all the clothes I don’t use, take some quizzes to help me shape a style that fits my lifestyle now (I’m working from home and doing some freelance) and make a moodboard to help me visualize the pieces I’m missing to complete my style, make a list and do more intentional shopping!
I realized how time consuming, tiring and disappointing (let’s not forget expensive) is looking around from store to store not knowing what you want, trying to find something you think you like or need, hope it fits you and buy it just to never use it again 😑
Yay! Welcome back to the main channel. Really hoping more and more stores will be carrying more sizes. It’s a bummer always having to order online and dealing with exchanges through online only. Love the blazer! And so excited for the confident and kind pants. I think they would be so cute in a forest green! 😍
This was so well edited and produced!! ❤️❤️
I love your vlogs, but omg I was so excited to watch this main channel vid. Idk what it is but the vibe in this video makes me so happy!!! So happy you are back- and better than ever! ❤️
This inspired me to finally go through my closet and remove things i've been holding onto! My style has extremely changed since watching you because i'm starting to love and appreciate my body, so I loooove this video, Sierra!
Was so excited to see this title. It's so incredibly hard to adjust to new life and new beginnings with baby. You're doing an amazing job Mama! So excited to watch you grow into the mom you were always destined to be! 👏💗
So glad you're back! Your positivity brightens my day every time I watch your videos, you have taught me how to be ok with my body even as just a medium!
I love watching this! Sierra, I appreciate you being so honest and real about how hard it is to find your "style" post pregnancy. 3 years later and I still don't know what my style is. But watching this definitely gave me some awesome ideas! You look amazing and you rocked all your looks. Thanks for sharing your journey
Missed these videos so much! The way you shop is so smart and made me excited to shop again! I tend to pick out things I like on a whim without really thinking about how it’ll fit into my style and wardrobe and then have random pieces that don’t go with anything else! So this helped a lot!!
The end result of all the outfits you can mix and match is AMAZING!! I love this new style!
How the heck does just *everything* look good on Sierra??? Honestly style goals 🥺🤩
(And yes, the academia outfits both looked wonderful!)
You are literally GLOWING! This was so relatable and reassuring! I had so much trouble accepting my pp body, and it took me like a year to realize that I needed to kinda just start fresh with my style and wardrobe instead of trying to (unsuccessfully) continue to wear my pre baby clothes that just made me dislike my body more. Your body changes after pregnancy and I thinks it’s healthy to embrace those changes!
I have really missed your main channel videos, and you came back at a time where I’m feeling pretty garbo about my body, so being able to see you work through the same thing is really comforting. Love you Sierra 💜
This was SO refreshing 👏🏽👏🏽
I’m so excited that you’re back and happy that you feel so confident in your new clothes!!! ❤️🔥
So excited for this!! Also I love the new background 😍😍😍 been watching the vlog religiously 💖
Sewing made my life so much easier lol. I’m midsized (US 10-16/Medium-XL depending on the store) so a lot of plus sized things don’t quite fit right but a lot of standard sized things don’t either. I used to struggle with it so much, but I’ve reached a point where I buy the pants that are slightly too big and then take them in where needed. Obviously sewing is a time consuming hobby and it’s not for everyone, but it was pretty life changing when I realized I could make clothes actually fit me and personalize them at the same time. Plus it means I get to keep the clothes for longer since I can repair them. Would absolutely recommend if anyone is on the fence about learning how to sew.
I know the struggle of looking for clothes and not finding anything, specially after pregnancy. I’m so glad that we are living in times where most stores are size inclusive. 14 years ago when I had my first daughter I couldn’t find anything that fits and that got me really depressed. 3 years ago on my last pregnancy wasn’t so much of a struggle to find cute things.
I can totally relate to staying home and having to find your style after only wearing sweatpants and leggings 😂
Thank you for the wonderful inspiration 🥰🥰🥰
So happy to have you back! Also, I feel your pain of shopping in store for a size 20 😫 Besides Old Navy, Target and Lane Bryant I pretty exclusively shop online!
Welcome back girl! I love all your picks , this is one of my favorite videos ❤️
I love how her mood and confidence changes throughout the video, by the end she irradiates sexy positive energy and I’m here for it!
Omg I love so much about this video! The steps to creating a new style is sooooo helpful! I love how honest you were, and just literally everything going on this video! I feel so inspired!
Welcome back!! Cute styles for you!! I’ve had 4 children. I know exactly the struggle! I was so bummed my jeans fit differently after kiddos…. BUT may I encourage you to keep challenging yourself to try new styles and trends and not to get hung up on a number or body type! All outfits can work!! All the best, sweetheart!
LOVE THIS VIDEO. The mood board is a lot of work for me but I see how much it helps to just trim down clothing options and really zone in on what I'd really want & what I'd need.
WELCOME BACK SIERRAAAA
I can’t believe it’s finally here!!!! I’ve been waiting for you forever!! I love the vlog content🥺
So fun that you're back! You were just absolutely gorgeous in this video! Hair looking super cute. Thanks for sharing the pros and cons of this adventure.
I really needed this lighthearted video today ! Thank you for putting a smile on my face after a really hard day today 💕
This is the absolute most relatable video you have EVER posted. And I’ve been watching your videos for years.
Heya! This video was so inspirational - thank you. I've struggled to find my 'style' pretty much my whole life! I loved watching your process from quiz to mood board to shopping (closet and instore) to styling. A great, practical process - LOVE!
I’ve been loving your Vlogs, but I’m so happy you’re back! I’m loving all of your looks, but I feel like we need a flowy maxi skirt or dress look 💕 PS. Don’t feel like you have to go full throttle coming back, I know you’re missing your time with your baby girl. We love you and support you 100%
Yay!!! I've been loving the behind the scenes from the vlog ❤️
Welcome back! I've been loving the vlogs, and it's so nice to see the new background in action! It's so warm and welcoming. ☺️
Yay you’re back!! I mean I’ve been watching the blog but the main channel is back!! I feel you SO MUCH that shopping is store is so hard
Sierra: I'm gonna go with look at cute things cause my child exists.
Me, an artist: the works of art I am most proud of are my children.
“I like plaid”
Me too Sierra, me too.
I really enjoyed how you walked through the process of mood boarding and putting together things from your own wardrobe before shopping
So glad to see you invest this time in yourself, especially to see it work out SO WELL! This practical and thoughtful analysis of style options was so interesting and inspiring. Now I want to do something similar on my blog! Welcome back, mama!
You look so stunning in literally every shot of this video, Sierra! I'm so happy for you ❤️❤️ I really missed these videos.
So excited for this one! Welcome back Sierra!
That blazer is amazing 😍 Thank you for sharing the struggle of changing size ranges after pregnancy. And for explaining that as the sizes get bigger, there is less and less available even in “plus friendly” stores. I personally have dealt with both of these issues. So excited to see main channel content again! Great video ❤️
Seeing you struggle to find a jeans that fit, that's so relatable. Through out high school till like early 20s, I was extremely under weight due to thyroid. And as I was living in a pretty small town back then, it was so hard to find a jeans that fits. Back then skinny jeans was everything and I used to feel so bad because my jeans even after altering never quite fit well. Online shopping thankful became a thing after few years and I got access to a wider size range with forever21 kinda brands.
But I'm glad that in the last few years I've gained like 10kgs and now I'm usually uk size 8-10. I know for many people this seems trivial, but it's a huge thing for me that I'm no longer under weight and unhealthy and I feel so confident in my body now. And to some extent watching your videos for the last couple of years helped too
I loooooove this new background! It’s so cozy and welcoming :)
Welcome back sierra!! We love you so much!! Much love to you, steven. And Gracie ❤
I so excited for this. I have a 13 week old baby and I feel this in my soul. Finding your style, feeling good and being practical after having a baby is a tough combo. I’ve been anxiously awaiting for this for some Inspiration.
Yay!!! Welcome back! Loving the background. Loving the outfits. 💖💖💖
Welcome back Sierra! May I say that you look amazing-happy and healthy! Glad to see that you are doing so well-motherhood seems to agree with you.
Love this! I’m 17 months PP and still haven’t figured out how to dress my changed body. But this gave me some ideas. You look amazing and you outfits all turned out so cute
I'm nearly 10 months PP and my hips are wider and I actually have a booty now.....my poor jeans have had such a workout over the past few months 😂
