I've seen a couple younger girls dressed up as Barbie this year and i alsways say "Hi Barbie!" with the inflection from the movie. Absolutely none of them get it (cause it wasn't a kids movie). But they say "hi!" back and its super sweet.

Sierra, you could use the "Padme" unitard to be one of the TV room Oompa-Loompas from the 1970s Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory film. Just need some dark goggles, I think, and learn the song/dance, and you're set. I guess you could carry around a HUGE candy bar, too. :)

Omg these costumes remind me the very shiny costumes we would sometimes buy for Purim (Jewish costume wearing holiday). We would usually make them from things we already had, or would make parts of the costumes at home, bur once in a while my parents would take me and my brother to a store dedicated to costumes. I loved the shiny princesses dresses as a little girl.
