Hi! I’ve seen a couple comments about the car seat in the back so just want to address it- Grace is not forward facing. This is the Sirona S car seat, it’s rotational so it spins outward for easy load in / out. Grace is not and never has been forward facing- we’re very passionate about following AAP safety recommendations, this included.
Must be getting so annoying having people tell you you’re parenting wrong all the time! I get that most comments are just out of concern and from a good place though. But still, I think you’re a phenomenal mum and you definitely seem to know what you’re doing!!❤️❤️❤️😊
My concern with the car seat is that you have it on the passenger side. It is safer to have it either in the middle or behind the driver. Most commonly in accidents it is the passenger side that is hit, which is why the front passenger seat of cars has the nickname of "death seat." You obviously can do whatever you want, but I thought I'd let you know in case you were unaware.
@@saltyfrog75 this is totally wrong middle is 1st passenger side 2nd drivers 3rd (3rd row) passenger side then behind driver side please educate yourself before telling people the wrong information I’m in ems and training to be a car seat technician :)
@@Resssyj I said middle was the safest, so I'm certainly not "totally wrong" or in need of education. I always put car seats in the middle or the behind the driver if middle is not available. When looking it up, it said middle is safest over and over again. It said behind passenger and behind driver were approximately equal. But what I've been told is the passenger side has a higher chance of being hit in a collision.
@@saltyfrog75 Actually the center is best and the other two are equal. The front passenger seat was considered the “death seat” not the back seat. However, that was for a person who wasn’t restrained and no air bags. If a child is in the back seat and properly restrained there is not a difference between the two.
I wear an x-small-medium and my friend wears a 3X-4X, and we went to old navy recently and it was one of the first times that we got to shop together and we both had options in our size in the same store. It made shopping so much fun!

Oh my gosh yes! Excuse me while I go invite my thin friends to go shopping. It's always so awkward and isolating when you have to go to opposite sides of the store, and then they lovingly recommend cute things that don't come in your size.

old navy seriously doesn't get the appreciation it deserves for its size inclusivity. it's been my go-to clothing brand for years now. thanks for taking us on this fun lil clothing adventure, sierra!
they have a pretty sad petite section compared to the array of the plus size selections, however. and most of the petite items aren't available in store, aren't in most sizes (like the straight section has size 00, but petite styles start at 0, which really isn't that small compared to other stores' petite sections - fits more like a size 4 from other places), and they don't come in lots of colors. awesome that they've expanded plus sizes, but "size inclusivity" should mean everyone outside of straight sizes too.

@@sydney8190 not necessarily, no, especially not in petite sizes. and most stores (old navy is a big culprit of this as well) use vanity sizing so 00s aren't even true 00s. just because being smaller isn't as systemically targeted as being larger doesn't mean it's easy for us to find clothes or shouldn't be included in "inclusive sizing." i can only shop at like 3 stores, which is the same problem plus size folk have.
Omg all I could picture was how confused people in the next dressing room because Sierra is screaming about shorts 🤣 thanks for pulling this together! I've been curious about checking out Old Navy since the size expansion and this was awesome.

I love how you shop and how willing you are to try complimentary sizes or next size up to see how the fit/style looks. It’s such a good mindset and a great example for women of ALL sizes.
My biggest issue with old navy is the way the clothing is cut, there’s a method that they use that’s automated so it saves time and they produce more clothing - but this can make the clothing up to 1-2” different in terms of measurements even if they’re the same exact size. So sizing always ends up being alllll over the place for me.
Yes! I always have to try things on even if I’m getting the same item in a different colour. And for online they have a really good return policy!
The blue "Dorothy" dress is ADORABLE on you! I love it! I might have to go see if I can find it in the Old Navy near me in my size :)
Body confidence question - I admire your body positivity so much. I’m wondering what your thought process looks like in real life scenarios. You know, when you’re at a party or event and so many girls around you are way thinner or your skinny friend is saying how fat they are or you thought you looked cute but then you see pictures of yourself you appear chubbier than you realized… what do you tell yourself then? How do you handle the awkward moments? The defeating moments?
Every time I catch myself having a mean or negative inner dialogue, I reframe. Just because I’m bigger than all my friends doesn’t mean I’m uglier or lesser. I am a wonderful, lovely human with great friends. If I wouldn’t want someone to say it to me and I wouldn’t say it to someone else, I don’t say it to myself. Or at least I try not to.

Honestly, I love old navy and I'm like a total hipster. I pair their basic stuff with my already eclectic stuff. It's great quality, diverse, and you can find insane deals if you look. I'm also midsized so it's really nice to find my size so easily. The swimsuits are so cute too!
I have the “ghostbuster” jumpsuit in green and I love it! I cinch the waist, button the top button, and leave the front zipped down to a little above my belly button. I wear it with a complimentary bralette underneath. It looks really cute when it’s styled this way!!

Before Old Navy's "BodEquality" started, there were only 4 stores in my state that had a Plus size section. We have 4 "Big Cities" in our state, so you would think that meant 1 in each city. NOPE. 3 of the stores were within an hour of 1 big city and the last one was in a medium-sized city that was about 2 hours away from each of the other 3 big cities. Unfortunately, I live 2 - 3 hours from ANY of those stores, so I was very happy when they put Plus in all stores. Now, I have 6 options within 45 minutes of home! In the Midwest, there is a store called Meijer, and I was so happy when they combined their straight and plus sizes into one section. They only go to size 24W, but to see size 24W on the same racks with sizes 2 and 4 was joy-inducing! I just wish they went up to 30W.

This may sound dumb but you were the person that got me to really experiment with sizing!! I used to go in and think "well I'm a 2x and this is a 2x so it just isn't good" now I think more about going a size up or a size down!

I went to old navy last week and had literally the exact same experience lol. Shopped for myself, bought some random stuff for the kids. Didn’t have that moment of frustration and anxiety that I used to have in some stores. Spent a bit over $100, had a PILE of purchases and then ended up ordering some more online because I couldn’t stop thinking of some pieces. (Highly recommend the ultra soft bike shorts with the side pockets 🤩).
90% of my closet is Old Navy and Torrid! It’s so accessible and being able to try things on in store? Game changer for us plus size girlies!
i own those floral bikini bottoms and i love them! you really made me want to get the top too after watching this video! also i love how old navy has stepped up their game! i’m not plus size but even to me it’s SO refreshing to see there’s no separate “plus size section” and that there’s just one area of clothes for everyone regardless of size! :)
Yea I'm not either but have always been a fan of having it all together, because it's not fair to either if you find something you love but don't have your size. I'm also a fan of making the tags saying that the item comes in a petite and/or short or long/tall. You can usually try on something and determine how it would look shorter or taller. Then take to the sales associate and pay for item but they imput a code on the tag, like wanting the short version and it ships to the store or your house for free. That way they wouldn't have a ton of inventory of petite, tall or short that may not sell
I love that you took us through your process of deciding what to keep. It made this video so much more realistic. Because sometimes things fit well, but it doesn't mean you need to get everything just because it fits!

I LOVE old navy being a plus sized woman. It's my go to. It makes me feel happy, I don't have to compromise styles for fit. I can just walk into the store, and try anything on. The only thing I wish they would include is maternity/nursing with there inclusive sizing

Idk why it just makes me so happy to see you shopping in person! It makes me want to go to Old Navy just because the last couple of times I went shopping it was so defeating because most stores didn't carry my size. It seems so simple (like the bare minimum) but when other stores prevent you from having this "normal" experience, the experience I used to have in high school, it just feels special to have that again.

Sierra, I just want to give you kudos for how well constructed your review videos are. You make them fun and entertaining, cover a lot of content - with really useful thoughts/info/context, particularly for us plus-sized ladies - and the overall length is PERFECT. Long enough to be informative, but never too long. You are killing it!

Also very gentle reminder that disabled people typically need the larger/accessible dressing room. I’ve spent a lot of time waiting for people trying on in groups or taking photos etc. It’s certainly not life or death but we have enough inconveniences in this world 💕
My favorite thing is that on the website you can adjust the model size so the model wearing the clothes looks more like you! so helpful to figure out what the clothes actually look like!

Since the overhaul of Old Navy I’ve never been happier shopping. I finally get to shop and buy what I want, not just what fit from the back of the store sad racks. I feel confident and trendy. I hope more stores become this inclusive

I have had so much more success at Old Navy as an adult than when I was a teen. They have stepped up their quality, the style, and pricing. I find myself ordering often online. I love those crops you showed at the start and those cargos you showed. Definitely excited to go in store.

I just bought that green romper last week as well as a dress and some other pieces. Love them all!
My only tip with old navy is to definitely try on everything! Even if you pick up the same style and size of something it can fit very differently. So that's why I don't pick a different wash of a style without also trying it on. (And therefore I dont order online because I hate returns lol)

My best friend and I recently went to Old Navy, as she was looking for some more modest shorts for her job, and were a little surprised to see that they had a ton of pieces available in plus sizes, but were almost completely sold out of x-small/small (my sizes) and mediums (her size) in most styles. The tables have turned in one little store in Cambridge, ON it appears. Both she and I struggle with having body measurements that don’t quite belong in one size category, so although we are used to stores carrying our typical sizes, it’s never a sure thing.
I have both the full length and short length of the athletic romper/ jumpsuit and LOVE it. I cinch it up on the waist. It’s PERFECT for when I need to walk my dog after work and don’t want to put on full athletic wear but don’t want to walk in my current clothes. So easy to throw on. Big fan
