I’ve been watching your videos for a couple of years, and usually I enjoy them. But wow. You seem kind of snobby. Not everyone has a mall in their town. I’d have to drive 2 hours to get to the nearest mall. Walmart, TJ Maxx, and Ross is where everyone in my county shops, and that’s a 45 minute drive one way for me. They’re the nearest places to get cute clothes. Walmart and TJ Maxx have lots of cute stuff. Personally, I think your style is very basic. I prefer more of a beachy/boho look, that’s always been my personal style. If I’m not dressed beachy/boho then I’m in my workout gear. Not everyone changes their style to fit in with what is “trendy” at every moment. There have been a lot of trends since I was a young teen, and if I had followed them all, I’d have a lot of embarrassment to look back on. A lot of the stuff I actually saw in this video that I liked, you were referring to as “outdated”. Not everyone lives in California. The whole point of this video (I thought) was to style things from these stores. Not pick through and talk about how horrible everything was. That just struck a nerve with me and I found it very annoying. I don’t think you realize how much privilege you have. Aside from all of that, everything you chose just looks like a casual soccer-mom outfit. I was hoping for maybe some inspiration or something. Disappointed.
I live in California and there's vast array of styles, all great in it's own way. I also think Ross and TJ Maxx etc, are really good finds, not outdated at all. She was turning her nose at everything and she doesn't realize it's her very basic limited sense of style holding her back more than anything. Hopefully she understands and comes back better

Literally the closest clothing stores to me is walmart or Maurices. Those are like 20 minutes away. Otherwise I would have to go about 2 hours to get to a target or tj maxx.
I felt like everything in aero looked very on trend. Identical to everything I see in american eagle, hollister, f21, etc... It just wasn't your style lol

Meh, I disagree. I think their polos and clothes with logos all look incredibly dated. There were shirts in the video I remember buying in 2009-2012 as a young teen. I think American Eagle is much more discrete with their branding which makes the clothes transition well into adulthood.

I have really enjoyed Sierra in the past but genuinely feel that she is getting more bratty and picky with every new video. Please stay humble girl, and don't bash stores that are lower in price range and say their quality is cheap feeling. We cant all afford Madewell level prices and quality.

Your biggest problem is you need to get out on the Juniors section at WalMart. Those are designed for 12yr olds which is why it reminds you of middle school. 😂

Juniors at wal mart go up to a size 17, so it’s not that it’s designed for a 12 year old. You can just look at there junior Dept online and see it’s a lot better than the stuff Sierra showed, I don’t know why she picked the things she did

I know! That's what I was thinking. She was in the junior's section which sucks for mid-size people. I am mid-sized and shop in the actual woman's section of Wal-Mart all the time. I have a kind of preppy style with a rocker twist and I find cute things that I get compliments on all the time.

Josie Carpenter people don’t realize that just because they like a place that doesn’t mean it’s still popular. Walmart isn’t a popular place to shop and I know that even if I browse there while getting groceries. When you compare it to target, Walmart is not popular for clothes.
I hate to agree with the general consensus here, but this video left a bad taste in my mouth. Aeropostale is known for their classic polos with their logo on it. That’d be like Lacoste not making their classic polos with the little alligator on it. Plus most kids wear uniforms now in school and I know at my local one, lots of parents shopped there for the uniform clothes. They’re one of the few stores that has jeans that actually fit me along with Wet Seal and always had good sales on them. Also just because a store doesn’t have clothes that fit *your* style doesn’t mean they don’t keep up with the trends. Walmart’s tend to have a variety of clothes that vary by region and location. My Walmart by me had totally different clothes than the one in my old town did, and they both had different clothes than all the Walmart’s I stopped in along the west coast when I went on a road trip last year lol. I personally LOVE their cotton leggings. $5 and they’re so soft and are decent quality. I don’t shop at store like TJ Maxx and Ross just because I can’t ever find much in my size, but they do have cute clothes. Step out of your comfort zone, work with a stylist and take their tips and use them. Someone suggested that and I agree. Also, the store being empty at 1 on a Saturday doesn’t necessarily mean anything. That’s peak lunch time in retail and when I worked at Macy’s, that’s usually when most people were at the food court. And also, people shop online more these days. Hell, I just ordered some shirts, sweats, and undies at American Eagle and I didn’t wanna step foot in the mall on a Saturday, so I went online lol.

Thrifting is like a hobby nowadays (which I love!), it's weird Sierra is acting like everyone wants to spend tons of money on clothes. I bought a pair of sneakers from Modcloth today. They were $20 off and, with my store credit, I ended up getting them for free. You best believe I told everyone in my social circle about that. It was an amazing deal!! Who doesn't want to save money and still look cute??
They have some really nice looking linen blouses in multiple colors....in the misses department. Didn't try them on because my son was getting antsy...he's 32.

In Australia we have kmart and they sell lots of stuff for really cheap. Plain shirts, leggings and sneakers for $2. For a pretty patterned shirt it might be $10-15. And Aussie dollars are less than US dollars.

She does this in every video. She buys at least 1 size too small and then complains that it's too short or too tight or that it's poor quality. It's frustrating because the clothes are cute and you can tell they would be perfect if she just sized up or got out of the Juniors section. Instead she just slanders everything. I love the concepts of most of her videos but I'm so frustrated by her attitude that I'm considering unsubscribing. :/
I wear jeans all the time and I'm 59. Got to use different shoes, coat, sweater, scarves, top, jewelry and hand bags .Don't have to be boring. I get compliments all the time (which impresses/confuses me) since it's basic stuff.

Usually love Sierra's videos but Aeropastle had some SUPER cute things that she showed, and TJMAXX is literally the BEST place to find cute things cheap, even if you have to dig a little bit. Still love Sierra, just not my favorite video. Keep doing what you're doing girl!!
TJ Maxx is VERY hit or miss...every store has different stock, & some items are one-offs. The nature of TJ Maxx is different than mall boutiques/dept. stores...They're not designing & manufacturing clothing, or bringing in specific designers. They're buying overrun, clearance items, pieces from previous seasons, closeouts, etc. You can get lucky & find GREAT items; but to find the best stuff, you have to pop in often, & just dig through the racks...It's retail anthropology 😋
Yep exactly my experience, I try to pop in now and then and check the sections for my size and have walked away with some pretty great deals for it. Can be tedious but I think its worth the low prices for me lol.

I think she's become so accustomed to buying very expensive (and dull) brands. Madewell well is known for being VERY pricey and her style hasnt changed at all, so its become stale. Its just frustrating to see her kinda talking down on all these brands that many of us non-rich people love and buy from. And then she doesnt even make an effort to style a real outfit.

I live in the Midwest and TJ Maxx is popular, although I think more people like Marshall’s, but that could just depend on the area you live in. I can definitely see how it’s not a widely popular brand, you really don’t see a lot of youtubers doing TJ Maxx hauls.

As a department manager over the women’s clothing section at my Walmart, I can tell you right now to get out of the juniors section. It isn’t right for your body type and the fits you’re looking for. The women’s section has stuff that will fit SO much better. The newest brand in the women’s section, Time and True, is awesome. They’re very roomy and I feel like very good quality for Walmart clothes. The plus size sections smallest size would probably fit you the way you want as well. 🙂

I think she’s kinda stuck in a box of how she’s learned to style her clothes to suit her figure. Besides, as far as erring on the side of being “trendy” I’d rather spend less on what’s popular right now but probably won’t be next year/season then go somewhere like... madewell
Literally the closest clothing stores to me is walmart or Maurices. Those are like 20 minutes away. Otherwise I would have to go about 2 hours to get to a target or tj maxx.
I felt like everything in aero looked very on trend. Identical to everything I see in american eagle, hollister, f21, etc... It just wasn't your style lol
I feel like sometimes Aeropostale has similar styles to American Eagle, but they’re much cheaper, and much more affordable. Most of my clothing is from Aeropostale.

Meh, I disagree. I think their polos and clothes with logos all look incredibly dated. There were shirts in the video I remember buying in 2009-2012 as a young teen. I think American Eagle is much more discrete with their branding which makes the clothes transition well into adulthood.
Aero has some really cute things other than the 2009-2013 Aero branded shirts. . . i came across some when cleaning out my closet.

I have really enjoyed Sierra in the past but genuinely feel that she is getting more bratty and picky with every new video. Please stay humble girl, and don't bash stores that are lower in price range and say their quality is cheap feeling. We cant all afford Madewell level prices and quality.

I hate to agree with the general consensus here, but this video left a bad taste in my mouth. Aeropostale is known for their classic polos with their logo on it. That’d be like Lacoste not making their classic polos with the little alligator on it. Plus most kids wear uniforms now in school and I know at my local one, lots of parents shopped there for the uniform clothes. They’re one of the few stores that has jeans that actually fit me along with Wet Seal and always had good sales on them. Also just because a store doesn’t have clothes that fit *your* style doesn’t mean they don’t keep up with the trends. Walmart’s tend to have a variety of clothes that vary by region and location. My Walmart by me had totally different clothes than the one in my old town did, and they both had different clothes than all the Walmart’s I stopped in along the west coast when I went on a road trip last year lol. I personally LOVE their cotton leggings. $5 and they’re so soft and are decent quality. I don’t shop at store like TJ Maxx and Ross just because I can’t ever find much in my size, but they do have cute clothes. Step out of your comfort zone, work with a stylist and take their tips and use them. Someone suggested that and I agree.
Also, the store being empty at 1 on a Saturday doesn’t necessarily mean anything. That’s peak lunch time in retail and when I worked at Macy’s, that’s usually when most people were at the food court. And also, people shop online more these days. Hell, I just ordered some shirts, sweats, and undies at American Eagle and I didn’t wanna step foot in the mall on a Saturday, so I went online lol.

In Australia we have kmart and they sell lots of stuff for really cheap. Plain shirts, leggings and sneakers for $2. For a pretty patterned shirt it might be $10-15. And Aussie dollars are less than US dollars.

She does this in every video. She buys at least 1 size too small and then complains that it's too short or too tight or that it's poor quality. It's frustrating because the clothes are cute and you can tell they would be perfect if she just sized up or got out of the Juniors section. Instead she just slanders everything. TJ Maxx is VERY hit or miss...every store has different stock, & some items are one-offs. The nature of TJ Maxx is different than mall boutiques/dept. stores...They're not designing & manufacturing clothing, or bringing in specific designers. They're buying overrun, clearance items, pieces from previous seasons, closeouts, etc. You can get lucky & find GREAT items; but to find the best stuff, you have to pop in often, & just dig through the racks...It's retail anthropology 😋

BClemons06 not necessarily, my zipper on my super loose pants gets like that sometimes because I have a big ass and jeans aren’t made to fit my booty lol that or if you have a bit of a lower tummy like she does (and I do from having a baby) that can pop the zipper out a bit too.

I love your channel girl. But I have to say... just because a certain store doesn’t have clothing that adds up to your style and preference, doesn’t mean the clothing is outdated or unstylish. Maybe in your eyes, but not in everyone else’s. I got a negative vibe while watching this, all you’re doing is throwing very irrelevant shade on these brands. Not everyone style is the same, I think you sometimes forget that. Anyway, you’re very beautiful and inspirational, and absolutely no hate was intended in this comment.💛
I think she's become so accustomed to buying very expensive (and dull) brands. Madewell well is known for being VERY pricey and her style hasnt changed at all, so its become stale. Its just frustrating to see her kinda talking down on all these brands that many of us non-rich people love and buy from. And then she doesnt even make an effort to style a real outfit.

girl I live in the same city as you do.. the Walmart you went to is off the 76 and that’s probably one the worst ones tbh .. I would go to the one off the 78 and 5 .. or to the one on Maroon .. stop going to the 76 one

@@rrosarm the one off marron road is better than all others in this damn town 😂 the one on 76 kinda sucks for clothes especially since half of the section is just juniors while the others have the women's clothing section as mostly women's and less Jr's. The one off Marron is best for clothes IMO because I've bought some stuff at that one. The one of 78 and 5 has some cute stuff but its small and kinda janky (I used to work at walmart and I see a lot of stuff at that one)

WTF!!!? Tjmaxx and Walmart not that popular!!!!? In a smallish town like mine, those are our only options. I get almost everything from tjmaxx from jewelry, sunglasses, makeup, workout clothes and dresses. Walmart is my go-to swim shop. Lol

Brookelynne Jennings so true. I used to shop at aero throughout middle school. After a while I felt like their clothes were just the same thing over and over and that everything said “aero” on it. But In the last few years, their stuff has become really cute. They have very on trend clothes at the moment. I hope they keep it up! :)

I live in the Midwest and TJ Maxx is popular, although I think more people like Marshall’s, but that could just depend on the area you live in. I can definitely see how it’s not a widely popular brand, you really don’t see a lot of youtubers doing TJ Maxx hauls.

As a department manager over the women’s clothing section at my Walmart, I can tell you right now to get out of the juniors section. It isn’t right for your body type and the fits you’re looking for. The women’s section has stuff that will fit SO much better. The newest brand in the women’s section, Time and True, is awesome. They’re very roomy and I feel like very good quality for Walmart clothes. The plus size sections smallest size would probably fit you the way you want as well. 🙂

She tends to stay in the teen section in her Walmart videos. I think that's why everyone keeps saying that walmart has stepped up their game but shes always disappointed. The teen section is very very juvenile
