    ⭐️Breakfast: (macros: 19g protein / 49g carb / 8g fat) [ • 3 Savory Vegan Breakfa... ]
    ⭐️Snack Post Workout Meal: (macros: 32g protein / 83g carb / 14g fat) For the base of the smoothie I mixed 1 cup (8oz) of unsweetened oat milk, 1 scoop of vegan vanilla protein powder, and 1 (90g) banana. For my toppings I used fruit and sprouted granola.
    ⭐️Lunch: (macros: 39g protein / 58g carb/ 10g fat) For my taco bowl, I added 60g peppers, 60g lettuce, 60g salsa, 35g pea protein crumbles, 150g baked potatoes, 13g pumpkin seeds, beet kraut, and 3 corn tortillas.

    I see a lot of comments from people who want to try and go vegan. I've been vegan/plant based for 15 years now. My wife and kids are also. It's so easy to do and once you get used to some of the changes, it's the most enjoyable way to eat. I was a big carnivore for my whole life and never thought I could change! But health issues were my first encouragement. All the issues I had went away and i'm now healthy, super fit, and feel 10 years younger. Not only can you do it, but once you adjust, you'll love it! a Healthy Plant based diet improves your quality of life immensley! If you're new to the lifestyle change, hang in there, it gets easy and enjoyable and will pay off more than you can imagine!!!!! Thanks Natalie for your encouraging, fun videos. I hope it helps a lot of people believe that they can do it and understand how valuable it is!

    Just seeing your channel. It's great to find a woman building muscle on a plant-based diet AND talking macros!! I can't find any vegan men talking macros. I'm just 2 1/2 weeks in eating totally plant-based. In my omnivore days, the sources were all saying 35-40% protein. My gut couldn't handle that. Eating plant-based, feels good but I'm struggling to get even 30% protein consistently. Do you have a video on the ratios for cuts and builds? I resorted to some of the seitan products but, TMI!, I think it's making me constipated!! I love to cook, so you've got my attention, Natalie!

    I appreciate you showing us your frozen veggie tip. Normally I avoid frozen veggies as I find the texture to be mushy. Think I need to give them another shot :)

    I’m signed up! I’m really excited. I’m in a space where my I’m getting closer to my goal, but need help getting over the hump. I’m ultimate goal is to be able to compete in an amateur fit competition. Loosing fat and building muscle/tone will be the goal…. Will I be able to customize my plan according to my personal goal?

    Natalie, thank you so much for this channel! I have been following you for a while and am almost fully plant based. Question on macros. Macro apps, I feel, are more omnivore based, and when I eat plant based, my carbs are much more than they calculate and protein a bit less, and I still feel great and lose weight. What are your thoughts on calculating macros as a vegan athlete?

    Can you please do a video about how you measure when you meal prep? I saw that after you made everything and put it into bowl it was on the scale?
    I track thru my fitness pal but sometimes I have to estimate if there is no bar code to scan

    Completing my first cut, am currently 73kg but quite a large build for a women, aiming for 63kg! Trying 1900 cals until May then will cut more if needed :

    3:43 pro tip its a lot easy to just bake the tortillas whole and crack then into chips after rather than placing them all and flipping them all indicidually

    Ho-LE! That breakfast sandwich looks 🔥 How do you pick persimmons? When are they ripe and ready? I've tried one once but it was not good and I tossed it. But everyone who loves them makes them sound so good. I want to get on the persimmons train!

      Honestly, I think I got lucky… we have to wait for fall, they are a fall fruit. I was so surprised when I saw it. I grab the fuyu when they’re bright orange and slightly firm to the touch.

    Ooooh I forgot about your omelette recipe! Loved it when I tried it last year - that’s coming back into the rotation for sure.
    My goals this year are
    1. Less food waste - the last 2 months I haven’t been meal prepping as much which means random food shops 🤦🏾 [fyi I do compost everything not eaten! 😅]
    2. Get better with sticking to a plan. I’ve been +/- 10lbs a few times in the last 2yrs because while I want to gain muscle, as someone who was previously very obese it’s hard to see myself go up in weight when I know a good portion of it is fat as well. 😩 but then losing weight my workouts are less satisfying because my strength and endurance decreases - am I crazy or just plain indecisive?! 😂 I feel like VFit would be helpful for this goal - how frequently will it run?
    Also the challenge series is a great idea! I can’t think of a name but I’d love to see the progress and how it goes. Also some interviews with the other participants would be so helpful!

    The first rule of contact creation is not looking at yourself in the viewfinder. The entire video is you staring at yourself as you’re speaking into your viewfinder.

    How do you slice your seitan? I tried it using my Kitchen Aid attachment and it was just a crumbly mess.

      You have to make sure it’s completely cooled before slicing through the attachment. You also need to make sure that your seitan it’s on the firmer side if you’re planning on slicing it. I use my food processor with the slicer attachment or a really good mandolin.

    I have a question. Will I have access to this eight weeks program for a lifetime, or after this time period, the program will be gone.

      There will be an option after the eight weeks to move to a small subscription fee. That way you can still have access to the app, to the workout guides, and recipes. I’ll be adding recipes on a monthly basis there. Plus, after the eight weeks you’ll have the option to move to the version two of the program so you can continue to see progression. This will be more of a self guided approach, as I will only be doing coaching during the eight week challenges. I hope that makes sense.

    I started lifting consistently 4-5 times a week for two months now and ive gained 15 lbs 😢. I still do cardio, usually running. Idk what im doing wrong i went from 115 to 130 and its really discouraging. Ive been vegan for 15 years my diet is very similar to yours shown in this video 😢

      I don’t think you are doing anything wrong…If you gain weight that means that you’re eating at a caloric surplus. You’re consuming more calories than what your body needs. Which will make you gain.
      Also, if you are brand new to weightlifting is completely normal to experience newbie gains.
      Remember, we are all different. What I do, might not apply to you.
      My maintenance is going to be completely different than yours, even if we do the same things. I do these videos not for people to copy them, but for inspiration on how to hit your protein target.

    Quick question. Are you vegans aware of the environmental impact of avocado farming, especially on the water supply? It's very devastating for river systems, such as what's happening in South America. If no one is aware of this go look at the documentary Rotten, specifically the one on avocados. That's only the tip of the ice berg.
