I only recently found your channel and have found SO much useful information in here, I just wanted to thank you. Example: I'm vegan 16+ yrs now and it never occurred to me to swap out flour for vital wheat gluten! I turned my occasional treat (vegan oatmeal pancakes) into such a perfect macro meal that it's tempting to just eat those all day. Anyway, I know I'm late to this party but thank you for being relatable and for having such helpful content. This old dog is enjoying her new tricks .. I was even recently described as "ripped" and I almost fell over sideways (I'm not but I'm working on it). Now that I know the terminology, I tell people I was in "improvement mode" all these years and just got around to "cutting" now ... hahaha. Keep up the good work.

Thank you Natalie! I really enjoy your videos. You present the information so calm, kind, and knowledgeable without being overpowering. I enjoy your realistic approach and truely am inspired. I also love how you focus on balance and how to approach nutrition for your husband as that is something I'm still trying to figure out. But now watching this video I'm hooked and feel confident I can implement that into mine and my husband's day.
Q&A: How would you go about nutrition for those with gluten sensitivities/allergies?
Q&A: Do you ever combine strength and cardio in your training? Does that constitute your "bikini prep phase?" In one year I am doing a Buffalo Mud Run and want to be able to have the balance of strength and cardio but still want to work toward the "Bikini model" frame.
Thank you for any and all info!

@@NatalieMatthewsFitVeganChef Ah! Hope I'm not too late for a Q+A question - I just thought of it after an experience this morning: how do you deal with folks who feel like you're doing "too much" fitness, aka exercise too much/look too strong/care about food, etc.? I'm reaching a point where my gains, effort, focus and diet choices are noticeable and consistent. The positive comments are great and easy to deal with, but how do you deal with the passive aggressive and negative ones?

When do you know to increase the weight. I want to push but don't want an injury. What is your suggestion? I'm so excited for you! It really depends on the individual and how they respond. If your goal is to lose body fat, eating in a caloric deficit will help with that goal. VS If your goal is to build muscle, maintenance or above maintenance is key.
I keep my macros the same even on rest days...but sometimes during my competition prep (I will have low day macros and high day macros).
If you are unsure of navigating macros... Getting a good coach to help and guide you is an excellent tool/investment.

But, lately it is back. I am starting to worry that maybe I’m not getting enough protein. There are a few things that can trigger edema. Quite frankly, not getting enough vegan protein would be a better option than having heart or kidney failure! I don’t eat a lot, which makes it hard. Also, I cannot eat gluten. I used to rely on seitan based “meats” but they are 100% gluten. It sucks!

Not sure about the seitan, tofu , soy products that she is recommending for a plant based lifestyle. It’s vegan junk food processed products and plus it’s wheat and soy not good at all for the human body. It appears People whether meat eaters or so called vegetarians or vegan don’t want to fruit and vegetables and nuts and seeds essentially a raw food vegan diet. This looks more of a starch based diet not plant based diet . But hey you both are trying to appeal to the masses to make that money
