Thanks for watching Tim much appreciated.
Thank you for this video. Just order the 0001 going to use it for my upcoming trip. 🙏 new Subscriber...
Great video.. I'm having terrible sound issues with my gopro. I'll look through this again and see what's best option for me . The last 2 mics you tried out were terrible . Great video cheers 😁👍
Fantastic comparison, I purchased the Edutige ETM 001 with 90 degree adaptor with GoPro Hero 8 media mod for use on my car roll cage because of this review.
How do you like it?
@@TodayIFeelLike Not tried it yet as the car is being worked on, but I'm sure it will work great.
I'm looking forward to know how it works for you. Thanks again for watching.
Great and to the point. Thanks!
Thank you much appreciated.
Excellent content. Thank you so much!
You're very welcome! Glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks for posting. This supports my decision to buy the edutige etm001. Bought it a year ago and I prefer it over any other mic right. Thanks.
Yeah the ETM-001 is one of my favorite mics. Thanks for watching and please subscribe.

very helpful. thanks a lot for putting this up man! yes the back is a lot louder on that first omni mic lmao
If you dont mind, in the future if you ever review any more mics, would you be able to toss in some natural sound w/o any voice? Like a 5-10 second dead air time to see what we pick up from the birds/any water or wind etc. I'm looking for a budget mic to record some of the audio out in the mountains here. Thanks again for the video!
Great comparison. I have the VideoMicro already but was looking at the Edutige ETM-001 as an alternative to get the size down. I think I actually still prefer the Rode for audio quality due to the pickup pattern but the Edutige package looks great! If I didn’t have the Rode already I might think twice but I’ll probably still with what I’ve got for now.
It's a really inexpensive mic to if you get few extra bucks try it out sometime.
Thanks for the video. I have the Rode Video Micro and was gonna use that with my GoPro Hero 8 and didn't know about the Edutige ETM 001. I'm gonna order one of those as it is much smaller and provides good sound so will make the whole setup much more compact!
Yeah the Edutige ETM-001 awesome and I really love mine.
@@TodayIFeelLike but gopro hero 8 is c2 type no? Then how?? Plz plz reply
What do you mean I'm not following your question.
@@TodayIFeelLike hi.. plz tell adoprter details for editige ETM001 to fix in gopro 8
The ETM-001 uses a standard 3.5mm mic jack so you don't need an adapter you do need the Media Mod to use external mics work the GoPro.
Great video , thanks very much 👌🏼🧱👍🏼
Thank you too for watching.
TodayIFeelLike 🧱👍🏽
The rode has the best sound. It does give ideas for the media mod to use the omi direction setting
I wish the Media Mod had a real unidirectional mic.
Hi thanks for showing
Thank you for watching
Great information!! Help me decide to get the Rode VideoMicro.
That's great I'm glad I could help. Thanks for watching.
Hi @TodayIFeelLike,
What is the adaptor you're using for the Edutige?
I have one too, but it doesn't stay horizontal because of the weight of the mic... I thought any angled 3.5 mm adaptor would do, but it seems it's not the case..
ETM 001 is Great mic. Portability wise.
True it is a great mic for portability and it sounds good.
Do you have to have the media mod to plug in a mic to the go pro? And does it use both microphones? That edutige 001 sounds superior to even the rode imo
I have the same set up now. GoPro8 and the media mod with the etm-001. But what audio input should I be on?
Standard mic or standard mic +
Standard. I think the ETM-001 is way too sensitive for Standard+.
Thanks for watching and please subscribe.
Is the Edutige etm-001 good for recording like everyday life. Have a gopro 5 to record life with the kids. Like trick or treating and so on.
Yes it's great for everyday life
awesome video! question, do you get a buzzing noise when you use the media mod in stereo mode? would you happen to know a fix for that? thanks in advance larry!
I haven't noticed it with mine but I'll have to check. To be honest I don't use stereo mode that often. I generally use the front microphone or I use an external microphone. I just don't think that the mics on the media mod sound all that great they sound very similar to the built-in microphones and so if I'm going to use the built-in microphone so I might as well just use the camera alone or use an external microphone to get better audio. but to answer your question no I haven't noticed the buzzing because I haven't really used it that much the stereo mode that is.
TodayIFeelLike thanks for replying larry! awesome videos btw!
ANDREW 24/7 No problem thanks for watching and if you haven’t already please subscribe.
in your honest opinion, would you say the edutige emt001 mic sounds better than than the media mod mic?
@@ANDREW247 I personally like the sound of the etm-001 better than the built-in microphones. I think they sound fuller with rich deep bass in the vocals. it sounds like a very warm microphone something that I want to listen to. Other microphone sound good and they sound clean but they're sort of light and thin and sometimes tinney
Where did you buy the small windscreen for the rode?
It's came with a different mic.
So I was looking at getting the hero 8 . So what I've discovered is you need a media mod case just to have that basic mic which you were blogging with . Which sounded ok but that's 80 pound here in the UK . Then the best one was the first external mic thats another 50 quid here . And there is no other way to get an external mic as you have to remove the door as I take it it has no Jax point only like a micro usb fixing ? That's where the media case comes into it ? Then you attach your mic as it has the fixings .. alot to take on board and thanks for the video .
If you don't mind me asking what are you planning on doing with the camera are you going to use it for Action Sports or you going to use it for vlogging because if you're going to use it for vlogging maybe consider the DJI Pocket 2.
@@TodayIFeelLike hi , it's for action trackdays abit of both ! I've done this before and ended up getting a cheaper camera called a firefly 8se turned out to be rubbish .
If you think you're going to get a lot of use out of the camera I would just say go ahead and grab the 8 or the 9 get the media mod and just enjoy having the best action camera.
@@TodayIFeelLike but what I put in the first reply is true you need that media mod case first before anything ...thanks for replying
With the Hero 8 you can use the GoPro Audio Adaptor but if you go that route you will need a cage for the camera and audio adaptor and you end up with the same price as the Media Mod.
