Excellent.
There were some nice progressions in here.
Meanwhile I am trying to guess what they would sound like with my synth type of sound designs.
Once you have your template set up I am sure you can come up with nice ideas to start songs.
Really enjoyed the video which shows that this plugin is capable of navigating some very sophisticated harmonic territory (if you push it where the designer's maybe didn't envisage us going). I've never owned Cubase so not sure of it's MIDI routing capabilities but most DAWS (including Studio One) allow you to route each internal track directly from Instacomposer to a separate VST without the need for a channel filter. Just wondering if some of the routing and CPU issues have been addressed by V1.03? (which I'm using)
Is there a way to generate midi that is not major or minor? Can you generate say something in D Dorian? If not, in the chord selection row, is it possible to choose chords that are not in the selected key/scale?
as far as setting up tracks you can just click 'S' for solo what ever track you want, seems it would be much faster to just do it this way
can you import your own midi chord progression and then work from there?
Random question. Do you know if there is anyway to import midi into Instacomposer? I’d love to using something I’ve already got going as a foundation, then use “alternate” to generate some variations.
I have imported scaler chords but did it by hand. I think if they add the ability to import midi and chords that would be great.
Some have said that Insta contains about 50 preset patterns and they repeat after that. Do you think thats accurate? If true, there is no infinite generation of results with the randomizer. Please let me know.
Hello 41. I got Instacomposer to use with my Cubase 12. I loaded up 5 VSt BBC orchestra tracks and ran IC to themand my CUbase went nuts. Max Overload on meter. Lots of clicking and popping . IS therer something I am missing with Instacomposer that could be causing the Overload?
Interesting I have never had that happen. Insta is very light on cpu. double check your inputs to make sure the routing is not feeding back in a loop.
@@41Fingers I am new to CUbase. Came from Studio one. But something is very wrong. I have an I7 32gb PC. Motu interface. Never had this prob before. Just with IC. If your video goes into the setup I will watch and see if I set something up wrong
try increasing your buffer size on your audio interface
I ran the prog on Studio one and it works fine. So i am using it that way for now and copying the midi files over to Cubase. Not the ideal workflow but i'll figure out Cubase at some point. I think it may have something to do with the track transformer but cubase 12 doesnt work the way your version does. Thanks for you help! Love your videos.
sounds like a mess too me
I think some presets have many notes and will need to be shaped and edited but I like how fast one can hit the go button and drag out some ideas.
@@41Fingers Scaler gives great musical ideas, this is a over complicated mess.
Less is more, however each to there own, but this is defiantly not for me.
@@41Fingers a tip I've found that works is to release the bpm sync and go down to 50% of the daw's bpm you wish to work in
the melodies seem to open up and become more easy on the ears and usable...for an AI
@@axonathan very interesting Nathan thx for sharing that with the channel
