After seeing this I now realize that the best tools to use for simple composition would be Scaler 2 to select a chord progression, perhaps EZ Keys for a style, then Rapid Composer for polishing the composition a bit more. I have EZ Keys, Scaler 2, reMIDI, and InstaComposer. The jury's still out on EZ Keys, InstaComposer is something that I'm not feeling good about, but I purchased it on sale... I haven't even opened reMIDI, but am finally learning how valuable Scaler 2 is in this process. I very much appreciate this video as I can see that RapidComposer is definitely in my future... another software pack to lighten my bank account!! GREAT VIDEO!! Cheers!!

Hey I too have all these plugins.... Even Orb Prucer Which is Worst because it is not at all Musical ...
But Insta composer is amazing for Pop and edm .... Just use it for some time and you will find it very inspirational...
Scaler I don't need to mention ... it is go to for millions now...
The price at which they gave insta was really a steal...

It is impressive what you get out of RapidComposer after a few days, and we all know this is just the beginning.
Turning an existing MIDI sequence into something like it but varied is a great idea to work on.
Thanks you for your hard work to bring us this knowledge.

Thank you for doing this so much. As a musically illiterate senior who chose learning music (over another language) to stop the brain rot I do so appreciate what you are doing here. Scaler is great (thanks also for those videos) but this seems more powerful, dense and deep. But tantalizingly opaque. You are breaking into it for us. Thanks again.

I jumped into DAW and VST deep waters.
I think I am over doing it but really wanted first hand experience. This is as good as it gets, along with Orb, Scaler 2, chordpro, Captain Chords Epic, and a few others, I am on the path. I am not sure what is best, I am learning with them all.
I will look forward to as much knowledge as made available.
    Thanks.

Fantastic video on what is a staggeringly powerful piece of musical software. To make a slight variation on an old theme: the only limit is our (humbled) imagination

Thank you for posting videos on Rapid Composer. Do you know if it is possible to automate the tempo or time Signature in the stand alone version ? I tried this in cubase but it would not working correctly. Awesome series of videos!

I am also exploring with Ezkeys and Ample guitar. Having fun but setting up odd time signatures is not straight forward as I thought. Great walk through BTW.

I think it is extremely clever complicated too and in some ways if i know what I want in my head it would be alot easier and faster to just play it myself ... I'm sure though it would be great for ideas and things id not think of though these guys must have amazing musical brains and skills to create this beast of a program id give it 11 out of 10

That's the first time I've ever seen Rapid Composer, it looks really good, how do you like it compared to Scaler for instance? Do you think it's got more functionality than Scaler? May have to look into this. Great work. Many thanks, hope you're keeping well. All the best from The Highlands of Scotland. Ryan.

    • @41Fingers
      @41Fingers  2 роки тому +1

Hello Ryan, Good to hear from you. RapidComposer goes beyond scaler in my opinion but also has a steeper learning curve and unique interface. On the other hand scaler has some very cool ways of forming chord progressions. My recommendation on RC is to get the demo first to see if its right for you. Cheers

@@41Fingers Great stuff, it does look very cool, like the interface and the features seem to go on and on, a lot to learn eh! I took a look at the website earlier so may download the trial when I have time and give it a go and see if I like it 👍🏻👍🏻 many thanks for the great videos I know how much time and effort goes into them 👍🏻

    • @NipapornP

@@41Fingers > "RapidComposer has a steeper learning curve"
Seriously? Because this says, that you learn a lot (y-axis) in very short time (x-axis)!? But doesn't it actually take a very long time to learn just a little? Then the learning curve would be very flat instead of steep.
