Short, sweet, good lighting/camera angles. Good formula for useful tutorials. Thanks for this video, my man! This may be a rudimentary task, but many newbies need this step-by-step instruction.
Great video; just started building my first and ran into a terrible time with the roll pin on the gas block. I just ordered the tool (and several replacement roll pins).
Nice simple idea guys & nice to have a video where the speaker isn't more interested in blathering than carrying his point. Jig looks ok for the standard 0.75" ID GB pattern. Nice small, easy to store. I'm not sure how it will work well with the other 3 standard GB IDs or any non-standard yet cool looking external geometry. So, may loose a few "robust tool" points. I think it is excessively over priced at PA so shop it around.... but beats needing 3 hands n no grace to pin the GB&T wo a fixture.
That a pretty good idea, I wish I heard of it. Every time I tried to get mine started the tube would rotate before I could get the pin to align. Eventually I had to use a .5mm stripped twist tie wire to form a slave pin to get it in.

Try using a toothpick to line up the holes, it works quite well. You might have to use a little sandpaper to knock down the size of the toothpick.
And I thought I was the only one who utilized tooth picks in the shop! They are dead handy tools.
@@chrissewell1608 : Q-tips come in handy also. LOL.
@@anthonyshepard9606 Yep. And I really like those long ones on a stick. You cant get really deep into something with those.

Every bit of advice @nsz85 gives regarding niche AR maintenance and build tools you can take to the bank.

Have you ever seen where the gas block pin hole and gas tube pin hole dont line up to pin them toegether
Can you fit a Superlative Arms, adjustable gas block, into that jig? Because those have an extra screw and block, sticking out of the front.
Very nice
My gas block leak gas for the roll pin in both sides is that normal??? My factory made ars don't leak any, this one i build it my self any suggestions
A little tip using the Geissele roll pin tool after it bottoms out use the rear of the tool to seat the roll pin flush
That might deform the tapped side too? Since its so small.
Do you have a link for this ?
Just me or was the gas tube alignment off?
