- I tried several methods of getting my gas block roll pin into the gas block and gas tube properly. I watched all if the popular videos on how tondi this but none of them worked well for me. The key here is to make sure you have about $55 worth of tools. Don’t shortcut that part. Buy the tools for this.
Thanks for the help. But you have a lot of very specific tools to make it easier for you. I used a hammer and a prayer.
Buy $$$ of tools. Wow, big help
You have a nice setup but one thing I’ve always wish I had, a third hand.
Why? To reload your 10 round slave mags while you doublefist newsom?🤷🏿♂️
Nice srtup and great tutorial
Thanks. Very helpful.
Does it matter what direction the pin goes in? I did mine and it looks good but the pin was installed right to left, as opposed of left to right.
Ie, does it matter which way the pin goes in?
No
" Quick Tip " Make sure the split on roll pin is facing up or you could leak some gas!
The tube only got 2 holes.
@@Falcon-vu5qp that's what she said. 😅
No gas goes anywhere near that hole. The ports in the barrel and gas tube are BEHIND that point.
you have 3 hands. no fair!
The gas block jigs are a must have!
Where can I find one ?
My tube and gas block don’t line up. I can’t even line it up with a punch. Is it possible that the tube and block are incompatible?
Could be a manufacturer defect.
@@dabernathy15000 I hope not. It’s an expensive gas block.
Where did you get the gas block armorers block?
@@robmiller7201 eBay
Can you show how to drill and pin a gas block to the barrel, doesn't make any sense why manufacturers even use set screws cause its a huge week point in the system..........
Can I get a link for the eBay gas block holder ?

What is that grey stand that youre securing the gas block on ?
Gas block tube roll pin jig, I just bought this same exact tool off of Ebay about a week ago for $14.00, it's almost like having that third had that you need to get that roll pin started.

What was the name of the holder? I can’t find a good one
Onmission Arms is the seller. It’s not great, but it’s cheap and does the job.
Love it! I don't know what it is, but I absolutely LOVE all this oddly specific ar smithing tools, and jigs, blocks and pivot install, spring depressing tools, gas block tools as well. I can build a non-scratched and good quality looking ar with my Brownell's hammer and one punch. But boy oh boy, how I Love finding and trying out new innovative ways of doing the same old install/parts swapping with all these new tools. Just ordered one of these bad boys 🤘
Will an Aero Precision adjustable gas block fit this holder?
Mine was aero, it just wasn’t adjustable. I suspect it would work.
Why don't you use a JP clamp-on gas block?
What punch set are you uaing by chance?
Real Avid Accu Punch Hammer and Roll pin punch set.
@@dabernathy15000 thanks bro awesome video
just use channel locks to squeeze in
Yes, but I didn’t want to scratch it or cause damage.
@@dabernathy15000 i got around this by using painters tape, works like a charm, just wrap both jaws with a bunch of it.
I’ve pressed in pins in the receiver with taped channel locks, or their proper name, pump pliers.
