    Interesting. I’ve hesitated to do this in the past simply because I figured I’d break the drill bit.

    This video sold me into grabbing one to couple with your 13.9 barrel. Hope you dint mind that I'm gonna mash you With Geissele and SOLGW. I liked the brownells black friday special enough to kind of clone. Geissele upper and mk8 rail SOLGW BCG CH, but with 13.9" Triarc Systems barrel, gas block and finished with a pinned warcomp. First time giving your barrels a shot.

    Why don’t you guys shut off ordering for a bit? How can you ever expect to catch up if you’re almost a year behind on orders now with more orders every day? Even if everything went back to “normal”right now you guys would still be behind months and months. Also maybe update the website from 8-14 weeks to 52 weeks lmao

    I'll be using this on all my hard-core builds now. I've been hesitant to do my own pinning, so I've been using rocksett on my set screws for the last few years. Now this makes me feel a lot better about the pinning process at home!

      Brownell’s said to only use it on your barrel threads/MD and I was womdering why! Anything?

      @@andrelopez4709there’s arguments both ways for and against loctite or rocksett for gas block set screws. Loctite won’t hold under high heat like rocksett will which on a gas block isn’t ideal. But rocksett will degrade when wet. Gas block is a critical component which is why pinning is always a good idea, though some say it can decrease barrel accuracy. Criterion claims to have evidence of this.

      Loctite 272 is fantastic for high heat applications like gas blocks (assuming you’re pairing it with good quality knurled tip gas block screws).
      I’ve never used Rocksett mainly because I’m worried I may have to take the gas block off at some point and removing Rocksett is a PITA.
      I’ve seen people stake their gas block screws too. To me it kinda makes the gas block a one time use item but that’s cool because they’re relatively cheap to replace.
      Pinning rocks though haha

    Eerily similar to FCD’s. I would agree with material removed…the Geissele is bomb proof, but it does take a good chunk out.

    When using suppressors is an adjustable gas block better since the suppressor will alter the gas flow of the rifle?

    • @ComeOnPelican91
      @ComeOnPelican91 3 роки тому +3

      It can be argued both ways. For a fixed gas port, the size of the port should barely (but reliably) cycle rounds unsuppressed in order to be considered a good "mixed-use" barrel.

    • @kristjonpedersen9342
      @kristjonpedersen9342 3 роки тому +5

      I wouldn't use an adjustable gas block for anything other than a range toy as they tend to carbon lock and have other issues. If you're looking for duty use in a rifle pinning the gas block and picking the right gas port is the more reliable option.

      This has nothing to do with their shipping problems, if anything converting from a taper pin to a coil pin removes a step in assembly (reaming). I get that you're frustrated because I am too, but backlogs caused by trends happen in the industry. Remember the introduction of the KMR rail and the A5 extension? And from another industry: the Spyderco PM 2 was backlogged for years

    • @jimmybrodriguez
      @jimmybrodriguez 3 роки тому +7

      This actually helps get orders out the door faster. The more small parts they make in house the fewer items that can hold up an order and aids in bringing down lead times.

      @@takeahike2993 I’m a sucker for triarc products. Best rifle I’ve ever shot and I have it in my lap as I type this and have literally been walking around my house for the past 3 hours with it mindlessly.
      Buuuuuut waiting 6 months for it when I checked a box for 8-14 weeks was a really hard pill to swallow. I really hope triarc finally gets caught up because I love their product so much but I struggle to recommend them to someone who needs a rifle. I know 2020 sucked and all that but still…

    Why only drill from the right side? Is the pin tapered so the holes are different sizes? Just curious.
