There really do get better and easier to use every year. We pull so much of our info each year from trail cams. Terry keeps a huge yearly log of all the cameras on his property and Mark has a massive catalog of several years worth of images in his Reconyx app.
I think I’ve watched all your videos. Wish we had a deer population here in Maine like you guys show in the videos. What a dream hunt it would be for me to hunt with you guys. Being disabled I do a lot of sitting in the woods. Tree stands are pretty much out of the question. Thanks for sharing all the awesome hunts you guys have videoed. Awesome.
Sweet ! I am chasing a buck for close to 7 years now and the buck is almost 11 years old... WE call him TMac biggest buck i have ever seen in person ! The hunt is on !!! Great story !
I had a deer we named High Tower as well. Chased him for 5 years. Shot him last year and posted a picture on the Drury app. Mark actually commented on it. My most memorable buck yet. Not necessarily my biggest, but my favorite for sure. 2020 season IS SO CLOSE!
I remember that! Thanks for sharing him with us on DeerCast! I'm hoping to see more of your successes for years to come. Good luck out there bud and stay safe!
3 years for me he is 4 and a half this year last year he was a big ten i had one pic on the game trail of him last year thought he had met his end but i just got velvet pic of hurcules and the count down to september can get here quick enough
my family starting with my grandfather have been chasing a 14 pointer for 6 years and I had him 30 yards from my stands past year and I had him in my sights and I froze but I got him the very next day beautiful buck
i've been after a buck for 4 years now and he shrunk this year is horn size, he is a 7-8 year old tank,, went from a 170+ down to 160ish. but man is he a tank, pushing 300#s. exactly the same pattern every year based on the cameras, exactly8 the same dates too, he disappears though after this weekend till nov 28th.. its amazing how they do the same thing every year.
I’ve never chased one certain deer, I’m not out west where all the big bucks are and because of that there is new bucks out here yearly and the next year they are gone because they get killed. The only main deer I’m after now is a nice 8 and a calico 4 point
6 yr old 12 pt split g2s dark rack everybody called him brownie! lol by the time I got him it was muzzle loader season! when I took his hide off he had no fat been shot in the foot and a dislocated front shoulder! tough deer probably wouldn't have made it through winter
Was after a big one for 4 yrs and guess the blue tongue got him year beford last along with several others. Havent had a picture in 2 yrs. Least there are still a couple that made it through
I went our two years ago he was a 12 point in the beginning we decided to nickname him buster November 17th at 4:00pm I got him he ended up being a 14 POINT!!!!
Senator yeah same but the satisfaction that you used a bow and all the tough times it’s almost like giving them a chance with a bow but hey if I miss them it gives me another reason to hunt that deer everyday
I've hunted deer for several years and shot them and some I didn't but, we don't have and never will have anything like that down here. I hunt Gulf Coast bucks which aren't very big but the ones I hunt are big for down here. I hunt about a 1/4 mile from the gulf in Alabama. Biggest I've taken down here is only around 130's. That being said, It's all about the hunt. And these are the hardest deer in the country to hunt, ask anybody. I usually pattern with cameras and hunt with a bow until about the last 2 weeks then the rifle comes out. I'd rather do it that way than have a piece of crap night hunter steel him away. And that happens a lot around here. We don't have near enough game wardens. Didn't mean to ramble but, it pisses me off when people act high and mighty and belittle a hunter, "a true hunter" for there efforts. I wouldn't have waited 7 years to pick up a gun.
We had a buck on the coal mine property where we used to hunt. We had him named "Bullwinkle" he looked like a moose. His right side had 2 main beams. His left side was palmated heavily. We never saw him in gun season and in bow season never got closer than 100 yards. Hunted him for 5 years in the mid 90's. I got to hold a right side shed that a neighbor had found. Felt like it was 10 lb.
18 pointer.. 3 yrs ive had him in me trail cams,, stays nocturnal.. every pic I Have is at night.. I saw him once while putting the trigger lock on my gun crossing the road that splits my property. .... felt sick to my stomach and actually walked down to the shoulder of the road to look at his prints.. it was him I'm sure of it.. no way there are two deer that size on my property.. WE call him ZEUS
I see him and I’m like oh he’s nice but not super one of a kind crazy nice and then I see him next to these other deer and I realize he’s a lot bigger than he looks by himself with nothing to compare size to lol
I spent 5 years hunting a 220” buck couldn’t close the deal we believe his is dead now no pictures in a year. he never came out in daylight no encounters just trail cam pics at night
i was chasing a 178 inch typical brute for 10 years he show up weekly i but my time in the last 6 years since i started hunting and sure enough i guy down the road 3 miles or so shot him last friday
11:52 that young buck is gonna be a stud in a few years, holy brow times!
He definitely looked bigger the year prior, started hitting his downside possibly? Great buck
It may have been a side effect to the hd.
Different buck lol no way it was that big and lived 7 years after 🤣
