Hey, everyone! You might be having a case of déjà vu with this video, but don't worry about that! After, all, it's still an incredible story with an amazing payoff!
mohunter68 that was one of the dumbest statements I’ve ever heard, but jealousy does dumb things to people. They put in the work to buy ground and then put in the work to set it up for hunting. You prefer to put in work on public, they prefer to do it on private. Just because they do it different than what you like, gives you no right to claim they shoot pen raised deer!! These deer are 100% wild
Pen raised? LMFAO. I've seen Drury brothers property and there is not a fence a deer couldn't jump over. You have to realize there in zone 5 in southern Iowa. Lots of woods and plenty of good food source for deer to grow big. And there dnr has a thing called deer management . Maybe you could Google that to figure it out.
mohunter68 your just jealous, I mean yea not a lot of people can afford to buy the land they have and grow food plots, but you can’t say what you said they don’t have fences just deer that want to stick around because they have the resources
I get all the hunts with huge, shed still blinds hunting over a little kill plot confused. Once you've seen one episode of "dreary" tv, you've seen them all.
Uhhhh I would play this video on a loop had I taken that stink'n donkey! 😉 I'm tickled to death for ya brother.
Could you imagine being that guy, watching this lol
You should have a little talk with your neighbors...
I would be PISSED if that was my land 😤
I can't stand trespassers!
lol id let out a warning shot right at his feet lol
I he was in our property I would have got out of the stand and bet the shit out of him
If you can’t shed a tear when your in this guys shoes then you shouldnt be in the woods! By far one of my favorite videos just because how excited and emotional he got over a beautiful animal like that! Persistence and hard work pay off!!!!
Thank you very much! We appreciate that. I agree! This is a deer of a lifetime and would definitely make you tear up if you harvested it!
That is what I call raw emotion and such an adrenaline high followed by big adrenaline dump. Doesn’t get better than that. This is what it’s all about. Congratulations on an amazing hunt and harvest.
Absolutely. Roger is such a genuine guy, it is most definitely raw emotion. We could not be happier for him in this moment. Good stuff you don't get to see often! Thanks for the feedback!!
ive watched this video prob 30 times sense 2020 lol... Just an absolute stud... couldnt imagine getting a deer like this on private open country land.. Ive said it before and ill say it again congrats
Great hunt you guys!! I was in the edge of my seat the whole way through! Congratulations!
16:36 omg that is a humongous buck
Roger was doing a snort wheeze after he shot that big boy
Haha
LOL he sure was, as I'm sure most of us would if we were given this once in a lifetime opportunity at a buck of many lifetimes! He was PUMPED!
@@DruryOutdoors Didn't you say at the beginning of the video that he had already taken several 200" deer? How is this a "once in a lifetime" deer? Seems like all you professional hunters routinely take 200" deer.
It’s just a deer I get it’s good to shot a big one but he’s shot plenty more
Russell Langworthy 😂no one “routinely” shoots 200 inch deer, they aren’t stupid as you can tell, these hunters put in countless hours growing those deer and passing up on them until they reach max potential, don’t say dumb stuff just because they know how to manage deer, those deer have 1000s of acres to Rome wherever they please and the hunters just pattern them until they make a mistake
Hell of a 300 yard shot with a muzzleloader!! Congratulations 👍
You gotta love when it all comes together like that!
Amazing buck. Great story.. that muzzleloader looks like it's shooting pool balls out of it from the size of that hole. That deer wasn't going far at all. Congrats on that mega.
Buck of a lifetime
Yes sir! He was a beauty!
Man i’m only 16, and have only had a spike be the biggest buck that’s came infront of me and ik how shakey and stuff i got, i can’t imagine how he felt when he shot while he was crying lol i cant blame him
Well that's great beautiful deer I'm just glad he didn't have a heart attack LOL congratulations brother
Remember when I shot my first buck..
That was amazing nice job dude
Boy's got COPD or somthing... bout fell out! 😆
That was intense! Ever find out who the trespasser was? Was there a possibility of setting up closer to where they kept seeing him?
This is how you kill big deer.$$$$$$$$$$$$$and more$$$$$$.
I wouldn't go hunting with that guy anymore it seems he's going to take a heart attack real hunting is down on your feet and walking and sitting not using a special made weapon 👎👎
Great buck !!! I'm surprised I haven't heard all the hater stories on how it was probably harvested illegally.....or that Milo Hanson was gonna hire another lawyer. Congratulations are a true World Class Giant !!!
We're incredibly happy for him!
Incredible hunt and I love seeing the emotions involved in this hunt.. and there was a lot of them. Good job guys
Wow what a blessing from god
Tyler M, your spot on with that one. Thanks for watching the video and taking the time to leave a comment, we really appreciate it! If you're looking for more, go check out the newest video we just released. Austin Land had an epic hunt for a giant Utah mule deer this past weekend kicking of Deer Season 21 with a bang. Good luck to you this fall!
That’s a beast
I've watched this video multiple times in the past couple years. Rodgers reaction when he finally connects with that absolute giant gets me every time.
That’s a big
Buck I am waiting to get my first
Dear last year there was only one big buck and I was a record for where I live a great big huge 12 point now this year big bucks are showing up like crazy and I want to get one
Love it
True passion, bloody love your work! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for tuning in! I truly could watch this hunt over and over again!
Sweet, Great buck, congrats. Looks like your neighbor needs a map.
Awesome!
Thanks for watching!
Wow!!!!
“Custom muzzle loader”
I have had trespassers on my property many times and they have ruined hunts. I have put up signs and that does not deter trespassers.
Nice Shot !!!! What Did He Net ????
Congratulations 🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Boy, u about made me cry!!😁
Hell of a buck
That's for sure! I was so happy for him when this all came together!
Awesome Deer......and one helluva’ Muzzle loader.
Absolute amazing animal and story. TY for sharing. His reaction was priceless. Had this old guy tearing up remembering the younger days! Any clue as to what had him limping in the first place? Maybe he tripped over his own rack? =)
I wish I could go hunting with him to get a monster buck
What was the make of the muzzleloader / who made it???
Does anyone else feel that the reason his core area was so small was because of his injury? Him not wanting to travel very far because he was hurt.
Kinda strange they kept electing to hunt the same spot 400 yards away when the deer kept doing the same thing 6 times in a row.
There's no faking that kind of emotion.
Heck of a buck!!!
Yes sir! That was 100% pure excitement and gratefulness!
Oh boy, can you be a little more dramatic? Hyperventilating? Please, let’s all cry. I realize it’s an awesome deer and you worked hard for it, but man up.
Sometimes the emotions of it all coming together can be overwhelming. We're incredibly happy for him for having it all come together in the end!
wow i mean what more can you want from a deer!?
Got goose bumps at the end, huge respect for that hunter!!
If this was a muzzle loader I'll kiss your ass on the 50 yard line at the next super bowl. Center fire 50 cal my guess....never seen a muzzle break on a muzzle loader before
Getting in there at tooth hurty was the key
What a monster!!
Great buck..Couldn't have just been 212 3/4"?
212 3/4” is a freaking MONSTER of a buck, congrats on a great harvest!
You gotta love when something like this comes out of the wood work! He's an absolute STUD!
Almost hyperventilated! Congrats on the buck of a lifetime!!!
😲 what grain bullet he using??? Looks like a rage broadhead hole!!!
50 caliber muzzleloader
An awesome story and hunt! But... as long as it’s them big blinds with crazy rest and talking loud and moving around and stuff.... not the same. “Hunting”... but not hunting
I believe this outcome was best for the Big Buck as well. He looked like a wounded warrior. He would've had a hard winter. Great shot by the way!
Thanks for the kind words. I love seeing our team and others have success in the outdoors, and I know this was a dream come true for him!
Do you guys use buddy heaters in your blinds ?
Man o man congratulations Rodger that is one OUTSTANDING buck of a lifetime! And all those highs and lows make it that much sweeter!!! Congratulations buddy that thing is a BEAST!!!
Since you made a point of telling us that this was a natural, native deer on a farm. What about the other deer you shoot...
That's on a need to know basis.
@@jasoncurtis4938 hollywood hunter....figures
They and their hunting staff all hunt 100% wild deer. They just have access to/own/lease premium farms in premium deer counties and manage them to the most ridiculous degrees. They keep their property managers very busy.
If you all think this buck is big com to colorado cause that thing looks more like a doe with antlers.
Why wouldn't he just put a stand on his back and go over there and set the stand to get into range of the buck? That buck already showed he wasn't gonna bump out of there very easily.
Didn't want to spook other deer
Obviously a fantastic deer! I think that a hopped up 300 yard muzzleloader defeats the purpose of special weapons seasons. Might be legal but not unlike shooting 100 plus yards with a crossbow in bow only season.
Had this happen end of November last day of mn gun season and had thought about my muzzleloader but kept with my bow😒. I did a calling sequence and this buck comes straight for me and stops at a scrape I'm the thick stuff. Corner of my eye I catch a flashlight???? About 5-7 mins of legal light left. I thought for sure he would bolt. That buck froze for 5 mins and watched this guy walk but at 50 yards and never moved. After the guy was out of sight the buck came to 15 yards but it was past legal shooting light. Second encounter with a big one that wind was perfect and ran out of light. Wrong tree on my part but if I was on the point where he froze I think he would of winded me before I seen him
Congrats on an awesome hunt! I might would find the trespasser before the next season and have some words though.
I have a good question for you about my 6.5 creedmore I had great blood trail but never recovered him. What could of happened the bullet to fast for 60 yards
Awesome buck was that a 300 win mag muzzle loader
Wow, most intense hunt iv ever watched.. Amazing job and a amazing Buck..!!
Thanks for tuning in! You gotta love when it all comes together in the end!
Not being a hater here, but people are talking about his reaction after killing the deer like it was something inspirational. Frankly, I was embarrassed for the guy acting like that. For crying out loud, he's already killed several deer over 200" so it's not like it's something new to him. Emotion is fine, just don't act like a little girl.
No obviously your being a hater. Show us video of how you reacted when you’ve killed your 200+” deer so we all know how one is to react.
Russell Langworthy what does it matter to you, he is older and maybe has a lil emotional ohh well, all I got out of it was that he was overwhelmed with emotion, and all I got out of you is that you cared more about his emotions than thinking about what actually happened!!!!!!!!!!!
@@170boone I've never killed a 200" deer or anything close to it, and I have no interest in becoming an internet personality. I said I don't hate the guy. Why do you care about my opinion? I'm a nobody. Like I said, shooting a big deer was nothing new to the guy. No need to fake his emotions for the camera. It was embarrassing to watch.
@@markschaefer726 It matters to me because I'm a hunter and this is a public forum and the guy was an embarrassment to men and hunters. Does that answer your question?
truly amazing. I was glad for him. Beautiful buck and even a better hunt.
This is definitely a fun one to watch!
He said, "I've never had a deer wear me out like this deer. We've hunted him seven nights in a row." Really??? Seven whole nights wore you out? There are bucks in the suburbs that we hunt for several years trying to harvest a particular buck. Often day after day sitting in an uncomfortable and cold lock-on or climber. This guy hunts in a blind that looks like the Hilton penthouse and then cries as if he's invested 100 hunts over the last three seasons trying to harvest this deer. Holy cow man, have some dignity in front of everyone and at least wait until you're in the truck alone before you cry.
Tremendous deer and great footage? What was wrong that caused the limp?
Wow, never want to be around you guys during a hunt.
The hell did you shoot that thing with I’ve never seen a exit womb like that nice buck tho
I’m assuming it was a belted magnum prolly 300 wm or 7mm
I think he said custom muzzle loader idk what the would entail exactly.
Who was the camera girl?
Now that’s dedication awesome buck 🤟🏻👍🏻
Riley, you’re not joking man! Bucks like that don’t come around very often but everyone of us hopes to see one like it once. Many this is the year, best of luck to you this season and thank you for taking the time to watch, we appreciate it .
@@DruryOutdoors best of luck to you as well
I’d like to know the grain powder an grain bullet he shot that deer with it knocked a hole in that deer like a 300 ultra mag lol
Check out smokeless muzzleloaders, arrowhead Rifles, centerpunch usa, or lr Customs. Tons of guns shoot 300gr bullets at 3k ftps all day.
Congrats, its a beautiful thing and cant be explained to people who dont hunt, what us deer hunters go through, and when it all comes together, its something truly special and life changing with a deer like this.
It's a remarkable feeling, isn't it!
Boys that is one hell of a beast awesome footage it's beautiful awesome DEER AND hunt Boy's 👍
what caliber did you shoot the deer with ? that's one massive exit hole
Muzzleloader so probably 50 cal. Could be .45
That hunter is about ready to have a heart attack!!! How could you miss at 150 yards with the right rifle such as Win 270, 30/06, 300 Win Mag or 300 Rem. Practice with the rifle before you go out there to do the hunt!!!!!!!!!!
Congratulations old buddy that is a monster buck and your reaction when you shot him buck I would have cried to you I would have cried my eyes out and thank the Lord he let you have it that's a blessing right there Buck of a lifetime amen
I loved the story and love how excited he got but I’d really Love to know what brand or style bullet that boy uses in that ol smoke pole! I dno how the deer didn’t drop after his insides were sucked out
By chance did you figure out why he was limping? Was he shot previously? Gorded by another buck??
What bipod is he using?
Must have been one of those new smokeless, cartridge shooting muzzleloaders.
Some kind of a muzzle loader that shoots 300 win mag I would imagine
This was more entertaining than any tv show or movie I’ve watched in a long time. Good for him 👏
Amazing, trophy of a life time, congrats, would have been so much cooler if he was harvested with a bow,
Would have been just as cool. Who cares how you harvest an animal as long as its legal.
@@carrizalesbm5 Guess you don't understand hunting. Killing a deer with a bow is much more of an accomplishment than using a firearm.
@Scott Williams Ok, you seem like a rational person. I'm open-minded. Explain to me, if you will, how my opinion messes things up for all hunters. Maybe I'm too critical.
Only cost him about 50k
I just never understood the crying??? I have gotten a few but why the tears... It's hunting and I'm sure you've killed a hundred bucks...beyond me
In South Africa in afrikaans we call that bok Kroos ( buck fever) only happens to those who are so invested in the hunt
Jonathan Hayward, we just might have to start using that term over here state side! It's a hard feeling to explain but certainly is part of why we keep doing it! Thank you for watching and best of luck to you the next time you're in the field hunting.
I wouldn’t be happy some one walking on my properties like that with that big buck there
Awesome video that's a testament to what this is all about. Good job and good for him
Week and a half and you are crying... Get a grip bro. You didn't know this deer existed 11 days before you shot it. Lmao
Food plot? Really
Now that is a great story & a great hunt.rodger realy deserved that buck.that is a absolute giant.just a wonderful hunt & a wonderful buck.and to be able to share it with family & friends is just a blessing.congradulations folks.i would be putting signs every 10 feet on that fence roll.
Thanks for your kind words! We were incredibly happy for him and loved watching the story!
Dang what a hole looked like it was hit with a bowling ball , what muzzle-loader is this? 45Cal? Awesome shot and deer too.
Hey dude there's no such fraction of 6/8 ". Clearly you meant 3/4" lol. Just saying....
Doesn't count with the gun
I can't even watch this anymore, huge blind, loud talking, and new your going to shoot the buck that's been grown for 6 years, looks like a movie set instead of a hunt, I like your first few seasons,
He is gooood
@Camden Walker I agree here.
Damn ur jelly
Trespassers drive me crazy!!!
U need to talk to ur neighbor he can’t be doing that lucky he didn’t jump him but good kill on that monster buck there ain’t none like that we’re I live in oklohoma
Remember when I shot my first buck..
