Here is how to change the air filter on a Chevrolet truck. Replacing the air filter on a Chevrolet truck is very easy. All you need to do is unscrew the two wing nuts on top of the air cleaner, remove the lid, and then take the old filter out and put a new filter in. But if you really want to make sure everything is clean, it is a good idea to take the whole air cleaner assembly off and shake the dust out of it and clean it before you put the new air filter in it. That’s how you change the air filter on a Chevrolet truck, or any General Motors truck.

I have a '95 1500 and noticed today that air filter lid doesn't fully seal against the bottom enclosure. I bought the smaller height filter but was still wondering if it was wrong? Does yours touch?
