    I have the 4.3 and put a 14' open element top also, and had to throw the spacer because it hit the water neck on antifreeze hose. But u have 350 and it sits back lil more, not more hp or torque but deff performance it does not struggle as much in 3 to 5th like it starving for air. I'm so happy with this mod, it helps, I'm thinking of putting a better fuel regulator and pressure kit on it. So lil more fuel might help as well. We will see,

      Beautiful??? It looks like he shouldn’t be even running the motor…. Considering the coolant on the top of the intake… I’d personally check for proper compression in each cylinder and also be pulling plugs to check for coolant… then if you do have coolant on spark plugs and your compression test came back negative I’d just say fuck it and put all new gaskets on both the intake and the heads… coolant in cylinders = smoke and choke 😂😅…

    Hi, I'm thinking of doing this on my cj7 jeep with a s10 blazer 4.3 v6 engine swap but worry about too much air being fed into the system and being the stock air cleaner housing had vacuum ports to it, not sure if it will negatively affect how it runs and drives.

    After installing that filter on your truck did it make a loud air suction noise when accelerating? I installed a Proform open air cleaner on my 92 350 and when I accelerate I can hear a loud air suction noise and goes away when I stop accelerating or if I accelerate hard so I don’t know if that’s normal or if there’s a vacuum leak somewhere, once I put the stock air cleaner it doesn’t do it anymore.

  • @the-dullahan
    @the-dullahan 3 роки тому +1

    That's a downgrade.
    Stock air cleaner already has almost twice the CFM potential that the engine can possibly need even at its max RPM, and that drop base you're using is a definite decrease in airflow over the stock unit. If this is an otherwise stock engine, it won't matter either way, but if power gains and engine upgrades are your plans for the future, you should look into ditching that drop base for a normal base, or even better, doing the salad bowl mod.
