- Easy maintenance on this Suzuki, went over all the filters, fluids and electronics. Breaks were also serviced together with additional gadgets.

I have the same bike (2016 model) since a couple of months.
Rides really easily, is stable and turns in well. If it wasn't for the power it would be a pretty decent beginner bike.
I even got to test the traction control when I got caught in a sudden hailstorm haha....
I just bought myself the red 2016 version of this bike...you made everything look dead simple
The thing I dislike the most about this bike are the panels. They are placed with very little space and with the side panel removal it’s especially easy to scratch other parts. Other then that it’s a pleasant bike to work on as with most Japanese bikes, things make sense and work as they should. Remember to replace the fuel filter, often overlooked by dealers.
I have actually just ordered one ready for my first service but I know that the bike has just had the fluids changed so that won't need doing for a while however I do plan on swapping out the fuel filter this weekend
i did 48000 miles , had the 600 mile service & have only conducted the servicing myself , oil changes & filter every 3500 miles - taking for a full service including valve clearances at some point
Brother! Glad press and seal on the headers. No oil on them easy as pie to clean up.
No glue on it just micro-suction cups.
Surprised you didn’t do plugs too so close.
First question, why not undo the oilfilter from the other side?
2nd question, why not cover the exhaust manifold from oil? Isn't it easier to clean then?
And a good quality oil like yours, has a lot of additives in there.
I would not reccomend it.
Yes, other side was definitely possible to. For sure to cover the exhaust keeps it clean but due to the cramped space I just clean it with brake cleaner afterwards instead. The oil is definitely good quality, but to be sure of proper lubrication after such a long time I opted for an additive. In the next change this was no longer added.

You should of removed the Restrictor plate on the airbox lol

You cannot mix coolant and oil. That is crazy! And the oil or coolant cannot be recycled too bad! Why did you do that?
Where do you see me mix oil and coolant? Oil doesn’t get recycled but is collected and sent to waste disposal company
@@Bikerrep when you drain the coolant it is going into the same container where you drained the oil. Oil in general is recycled here in America.
@@arjunp1835 ah like so! My local waste facility doesn’t have specific guidelines for delivery. They accept any mix pretty much..

k&n is no good
engine flush? no way
K&N is good performance short term (like racing), but not for engine life and performance long terrm. Engine airbox consumes some of the oil on filter and deposits inside engine actually reducing performance long term.
@@is3260 yes, they are not as efficient as a paper filter.
How do you raise the tank to replace the air filter without having to remove the fairing panels. Is there a way to do it?
Yes but its very easy to damage panels if you keep them on..
