    You are smarter than me. I have been pouring oil all over my exhaust forever my 05 gsxr750 is the same design as my 22 gsxs1000gt.I would just spray it with brake cleaner but it still leaves some that burns off. I will definitely use the aluminum foil trick.

    forgot to mention the clip pin on the inside. directly below the LEFT handle bar close to where the top 2, 4mm screws are. you have to reach into where the handle bars are. i did my first oil change on my GSX-S1000 GT and I did not know about that clip pin. what a pain in the ass.

    Very nice bike! Got jealous so I just ordered one for myself.. 2023 MY. Thanks for all the info guys. I'll be using the Amsoil full synthetic signature series on mine after 500mi. My 2015 FJ09 has never even needed any valve adjustments through 2 intervals.. Good quality synth makes a big difference for sure in my experience!

    Did you tighten the oil drain plug with 29ft/lbs??? That's twice as tight as it's allowed by Suzuki. You're lucky if you didn't destroy the aluminum threads of your oilpan.

    why the mineral r5000 this time then fully synthetic r9000 next service? curious as im wondering which oil to order . i see the book says recommend ecstar 10/40 r5000 r7000 or r9000 so id prefer to go for the r9000 as its technically the most advanced.
    Weirdly all my local suzuki dealers (and honda dealers) stock and use motul oils , im starting to over think oil choices but i just want the best suited for my bike and want it to suit nice gear changes and clutch feel.
    oh and also want to see if one or other can address the hot start rattle that seems oil related to either valve shims or cam chain tensioner, hope i can notice a difference as i have this annoyance some of the time

I've use one on my riding lawn mower. why not, it fit and it works,, lol

    You can buy an oil drain pan with a screen and cover to catch the bolt from auto parts stores, and just take the whole pan to recycle. I got mine from Kragen (now O’Reilley’s Auto Parts). Also K&N and Hi-Flo have filters with a 17mm hex bolt pre-drilled for a safety wire. I just hand tighten the oil filter and use safety wire.

    Hi sir is it possible to sit on seat furture back for much more leaning and sporty riding position or seat always push u forward ? And the second question is , does the bike feel heavy? On twisty roads i like to lean my body out from bike left or right , does it possible on this bike? Im currently using 2022xsr900 and twisty road is very easy with my bike and i can sit on seat furture back and the seat give me permission for it, it doesnt push me front as 2021 mt09 did...what about gsx s1000 gt?

    • @01gsx1

      To me doesn't feel heavy. Is a well-balanced smooth bike. The riding position for my height of 5'-8" feels pretty good. The bars they do sit a bit higher than a sport bike. It's meant for touring but has enough horsepower to have fun with it.

    Very informative video, thank you. Does this affect the warranty at all or what's reported to CarFax? Is that even a thing for motorcycles? For example, if you do your own service on new cars, then you may void the limited lifetime warranty of the power train, according to a new car dealer we bought from.

    • @cyriously_nick2191
      @cyriously_nick2191 Рік тому

      Doing your own service doesn’t get reported to carfax? Might void warranty but usually it doesn’t unless a failure happens from that oil change (ie: you didn’t tighten the filter properly, engine seized they wouldn’t fix the seized engine, or if you used the wrong viscosity and that caused another failure)

    • @leroy420b
      @leroy420b Рік тому +1

      I had to take my bike in to get the cruise looked at after it stopped working. Apparently the rear brake switch was dirty and the brake would remain on even though it wasn’t braking. That prevented the cruise from turning on. Also made it look like I was riding my brake all the time. 😖
