Just a quick video on how I approach changing the coolant on the GSX-S 1000F. It should be comparable on most motorcycles but take it with a pinch of salt.
@@josephparry There is a screw at the back center of the engine, below injectors level. You don't have to do it if you are sure you got all the air out, but it is still recommended step. Air trapped in the cooling system will fill with steam which is a lot larger in volume than liquid and push liquid out of the system in to the reservoir. It can cause spontaneous overflowing of the reservoir, especially when you finish the ride and turn the bike off. It creates pressure spike and sends a lot of liquid out of radiator into the reservoir but next time you start the bike the coolant level in the reservoir will be a lot closer to empty. You can find a lot of people asking "why does my bike leak coolant from the reservoir but not overheat?" that is why. Air in the cooling system.
This is the best tutorial I have found so far.
You're welcome!
Thank you very much for the detailed and informative clip mate 👍🙏
You're welcome my friend!
Merci pour la vidéo, je m’y attaque demain avant de partir au 24H du Mans👌🏻
Wicked!
Thank you for the tutorial. Helped me out.
You’re welcome Sanjay! ❤️
Hi mate just wondering where is the coolant temp sensor on the bike myn isn't on the radiator where would it be
Not sure mate sorry! I don’t have the bike anymore to check, crashed it a free years ago and paralysed myself (see other videos on my channel).

I do not believe so
