@@Yes-fl1cq Yep. I got Ultimate for under $7 a week ago and already have 44 tracks (some of which are free roam), and I don't even know how many cars. The rain/weather FX with CSP and Sol are really immersive. There's so many mods available and many more being built even to this day. For a game that was released in 2014, I think that's extraordinary, and its graphics, although are not necessarily amazing by today's standards, with all the mods they are certainly on par with most sims. You can even change/upgrade engine sounds, damage FX and billboards/banners. For spending $11 and a weekend learning how to mod, I think I got a steal.

AC Ultimate is regularly on sale for around 7-9 EUR/USD. That's AC with all the DLCs. If you then consider the innumerable amount of mods - the most any Racing Sim has to offer - and it's the best bargain ever.

AC is the only real value for those on a budget. You get a realistic sim, and it can be modded. Personally, I think it’s great because I don’t feel like I’m stuck with the cars the developers like. I really couldn’t care less about F1 and other purpose built track only race cars. Not to mention circuit racing is about as bland as it gets. AC has enough touge to make every initial D weebs dreams come true. It also supports VR. I have no idea why anyone would pay a subscription for something they have to buy DLC for. That’s absolutely ridiculous.

rFactor 2 actually has a twist: to join a server you have to own all contents in the server. So if you want to race your 911 you must also buy all other cars and tracks that are present in the server, even if nobody is using them or you won´t race on the other tracks! iRacing and rFactor are surely the best sims.... when it comes to robbing...

If you want to race other people, $100 in iRacing is the best use of your money. With the current Black Friday deal you can get two years for $99.50. It doesn’t have a ton of cars for that price but you get a full season of Formula vee and Miata on the road side, full oval season, full dirt season, and a full dirt oval season. For just the game alone, I still say the older Assetto Corsa for the PC gives you the most for your money. There are tons of free track and car mods and the mods you have to pay for are very cheap. The past years the game has been vastly improved with "SOL" and "BLMLighting" far as giving environmental, night lighting, rain, and 24 hour day/night racing which made Assetto Corsa into a new game. These are free 3rd party mods to install. New mods are being developed/improved all the time for the game. It is kind of my goto Sim Racing game. I also have most the other games you mention except for IRacing. I refuse to pay a monthly subscription for a SIM racing game even though IRacing is good. I feel you have to dedicate the time strictly to this game to get the moneys worth out of it. I dont have that time to spend.
The other game I like for online racing is RaceRoom- no subscriptions. You just need to buy tracks and cars for racing. I wish they had more American tracks to offer, but it is fun for racing in leagues that support the game. Periodic new tracks/cars get added to the game.

acc is overhyped, iracing is wayyyyyy overpriced.. AMS2 has had the best online racing lately. I also pay for iracing and am A class but still would rather race almost any other game than iracing, its gone stale on me..

It’s impossible to make just one video for every single sim racing game

Excuse my opposing view.. I am retired and building my first sim rig using Fanatec and SR2 motion. I have no sim racing experience but it looks like fun and hopefully fills my excessive spare time. When I consider what sim rig components cost, the cash outlay for the games is insignificant. Even if I were young with a very limited budget, the cost of hardware will always be much more than the cost of the game. For what these games do, they are a bargain!

If you where to buy all iRacing content, and a subscription for let's say a year, you would need to have hardware worth of like $1500+ for that statement to be valid, which gives you a round cost of $3000 in total, and if you stop paying your subscription you own no software at all, which in my view is not exactly student friendly pricing. But for the other sims I would agree with you.

Just my opinion. I started iRacing less then a month ago. This video is useful, but what I value the most in racing games is fair clean and close racing. And in that aspect iRacing beats every sim by miles

Not really, people are very toxic in higher splits. They want to win no matter what.

League races is as good as iracing. Some, like simracing604 community, has amazing fair races.

LMFAO, iRacing has a worse playerbase than GTS, its a toilet. 5 races yesterday, everyone wrecked by divebombs and idiot rejoins. iRacing has NOTHING going for it, I'm saving my renewal money and finally going ACC

@@illiteratethug3305 ACC is AMAZING but I would recommend joining a league. Clean racing with people who want to win, but don't act like assholes.

@@illiteratethug3305 Interesting. Last time I got wrecked was 30 races ago. It's easy to say that people are the problem and not you.
And even when people are driving silly there's a lot you can do as a driver.
There's zero doubt that even in CP races driver stardards in ACC are nowhere near what you encounter in iRacing higher splits. ACC has only some sense when you're league racing, and as cool as league racing is - at best you'll get to race once a week in a given league and that sucks.

Hahahahah you lost me at the part where you say "The downsides of AC, since it's older, is not having enough online competition as the other sims"... Yeah LOL.
It's literally the 2nd most played sim after iRacing. Anytime you jump online you find HUNDREDS of servers ranging from trackdays to races, let alone specific ranked multiplayer racing like "simracing system" or "RaceU" and many others etc...

    • @R3DCODE
      @R3DCODE 2 роки тому

simracing system is basically dead. RaceU is struggling to get traction, if you want competition in AC you are better off looking for leagues. ACC is somewhere there too, better off with leagues. The best online unfortunately is on iRacing, with ACC at the second place. Having played both, I stuck with ACC and I just race in leagues (while I also race on AC leagues with mods).
