Give me a Kunos developed game as a service online multiplayer sim with a similar structure as iRacing with mod support for non competitive private servers.
R3E is awesome. I can’t believe more people don’t get into it. It’s the most underrated sim out there
For anyone else wondering what R3E is, it's Race Room (I believe the full title is Race Room Racing Experience). I realize watching the entire video answers the question, but I'm probably not the only ADD poster child temporarily tripped up by this and if it really is awesome, we should probably spell things out as much as possible for the less initiated. I'm assuming that getting more people on R3E would be a good thing for the most part. I have no experience with R3E yet, but I plan to check it out ASAP, because I would love to find a less ridiculously expensive alternative to iracing. I resent having to pay as much as they charge for everything except the very limited numbers of included cars and tracks and then pay $10 - $15 for a monthly subscription so I can drive "my" collection of $15 cars on one of the $15 tracks I've purchased. At the very least, iracing needs to allow people who have bought DLC single user access to the add on content they've spent not insignificant sums of money on, so they can run laps by themselves to learn, test, and practice. Perhaps so few others feel as strongly as I do that our numbers are insignificant, and I realize paying for each piece of new content and a monthly subscription makes it much easier to maintain and improve the core game and network/server infrastructure while continuing to add new cars and tracks, but I question whether what we're being charged is reasonable and necessary. Sorry, I didn't start out intending to go on an "iracing is too expensive" rant. I certainly don't begrudge any for profit business reasonable profits. But for anyone who can't casually spend $100 for an annual subscription and $50 or so every time they'd like to add a car or track so they can take advantage of the quantity discount, iracing is a painfully expensive proposition. So I'm very interested in viable alternatives that are more affordable than iracing is to anyone on a tight budget. I lost my job as a result of the pandemic, which is why I can't take advantage of quantity discounts until I find a job that makes my future less uncertain, but I'm not sure if I'll sign back up even if/when that's no longer the case just on principle. If R3E or some other alternative sim turns out to provide decent multiplayer racing and a good system to measure driver skill and track improvements I'm probably done with iracing for good. In case someone from iracing reads this, I just had an idea. How about using variable pricing, depending on how fancy a sim rig you're using? If you've got top of the line wheel and pedals and a full motion rig running on a top tier CPU and a video card that costs as much as a pretty decent used car, you probably don't have to worry too much about what iracing costs. If you're running a Logitech wheel, however... 😉

Played it but graphics is an issue for a lot of people. ^^' Also, the fact sound can be awesome as well as not correct at all, and not full fidelity interior were drawback for me. Yet, i still like it. What i loved most was the plenty of tracks compare to what iracing can offer. And it offer a lot ^^
Also, loved that there is no restriction allowing older GT3 to race with newer. As an SLS and C7R fan... Boy i'm in :p
raceroom is just solid. everything about it is great, and you dont need to sell your family to buy a track (I am looking at you iracing)
iRacing is good, but it's just too expensive if you want variety. I can understand a monthly subscription but let's just stick to that, not paying for every single thing. And what are they doing with the money they've earned? Game looks horrible, I know graphics are not the most important thing, but they are a part of immersion. Look at what the community have done with Assetto Corsa's graphics and imagine what can be done to a game with all the money from subscriptions and paid addons. Keeping my fingers crossed for Assetto Corsa 2.

@@pedrosilvaproductions People like to pay stupid amounts of money apparently... Then use the excuse well if you would have a hobby racing for real it would cost more :)) COME ON. Its because of the masses being asses that we keep forking out money for stuff that could be free.

Broo those who voted for Assetto Corsa should be playing No Hesi with Pure and WeatherFX💀. I'm sure they haven't seen Vivaio Racing or Krreitas yet. At least Krreitas has safety ratings.

GTSport is great for introducing online racing, but their daily races, even FIA events, are now a wreckfest if you're ranked B or below. Sometimes you're punished for the crash caused by others. It can be pretty frustrating, but still, it's a great fun
I'm D rated driver and gave up on GT-S about 6 weeks ago. Never bothered to run the last update, and probably won't buy a PS5.

IMO Race Room is great. It also has good AI to race in single player mode. I dont understand why it's not more popular. ACC is good too but no much variety.
We also need to be able to take advantage of our expensive rigs. Including H pattern and clutch
Race Room is good but every thing is priced high and its a 100$ game if you want every dlc.
If you buy the VRP (their virtual racing points/digital currency) on their website, THEN, buy the premium pack for everything, it's only about $65.00. Do I think is a bit backwards of them to do so? Yes. But I'm appreciative of some people sharing that info so I could save money and have all of the content up to this date. May someone else benefit from this knowledge also. 🙂👍

@@moderngamer247 Good of ya, ditto! 😉👍 Apparently, R3E's cheapest price is in the late spring/early summer. I didn't start sim racing until a month or two later and missed out. Oh, well, maybe this info will help someone else save some money. 🙂

What would you suggest if I wanted to set up a local area network (LAN)?
If I would have more time for online racing I would surely pick RaceRoom and Assetto Corsa. RaceRoom because of the ranking, Assetto Corsa because of the sheer content and GT Sport because of the accessibility. iRacing is too expensive, ACC only has GT racing.
Honorable mentions are AMS 2, PC2 and GT Sport. AMS 2/PC2 because of the ability to fill the grid with AI. GT Sport because the series was my introduction to real sim racing.
I believe ACC is the best on the list as it's affordable and has so much more to offer.
Remember gran turismo is also technically subscription based, if you want to play online you need PlayStation plus.

Got ACC, AC, R3E and iRacing. For competition the other three don't come close to iRacing unfortunately. I just wish iRacing's dev team would fix a few performance issues.
And if you're playing on console, so is ACC
Nothing can really beat iRacing. I wish I loved GT3 cars bc ACC would save me a fortune over iRacing.

My opinions are objectively correct.
Waiting for gt7. iRacing is a rip off. ACC is not a complete multiplayer racer. No driver profile or an option to invite friends.

Hi guys, looking for a fun online racing game on console, something like Dirt 5.
I love the cars, the tracks, the whole racing experience in Dirt 5! Everything else though I completely hate, the loading time between online races, the lobby, the victory celebration video, the information you are given after the race, it all sucks so bad...
Any ideas on what I could play? Thanks in advance!

Hopefully one day before I die I'll get a GPU and check out Race Room. GT-S has become Wreckfest and a waste of time, no matter how good the Daily Race system is.
Race Room Exp online racing is only good for Euro region. You dont see any servers in India or Asian region.

Assetto corsa has no business on this list. 1 or 2 populated lobbies is far from a good online racing experience no to mention all the safety and rating issues

Lol, but the thing is that most ppl just play ACC here I suppose and they just vote that. iRacing is DEFINITELY the best for Multiplayer, even though the handling sucks compared to other sims.
