This video will show you how to needle tat using two threads of different color, within one project. Katy will show you how, step-by-step!
*If at any point this video is moving too fast for you, and you would like to take it slower, and get a better look at what I just did or follow along, UA-cam has a video speed adjuster/slow motion setting, that is great to make use of.

katy, so I was thinking whatever color is you core thread could you just pull more of it off the ball when doing the 2 color?

Is there a better way to use 2 colors for larger projects? Can 2 needles be used? I know shuttle tatting with colors uses 2 or more shuttles, so I was wondering if something like that could be done with needles. Please post more videos! You explain and show techniques perfectly! Thank you for taking the time and effort to post these videos for us. Cheers!

Aislynn, Hi! The other technique to look into, if you want to try and see if it would work better for you, is the method found in the second book of this two book set: www.amazon.com/Needle-Tatting-Set-Barbara-Foster/dp/1883432006. Also, you can try a modified version of the method in this video, and cut only the thread that will be your core thread, and leave the other thread attached to the ball thread. Then you would only need to replace the core thread as you run out. Same method, just a different take. I would tell you more methods here, but I honestly haven't used them in so long, I keep going back to the method in this video, that I wouldn't want to tell you wrong. If you try the other method, in the book linked, let me know what you think of it?! :) I would like to know. Hope this helps! ~ Katy :)

Hi Katy, great video!! May I ask, if I want to use several color threads, should I knot them together?? Would appreciate your advice!

Hola. No hablo ingles, pero tus explicaciones son muy claras acompañadas de los movimientos sencillos. Yo he tejido frivolite solo con la lanzadera. Creo que es más fácil con esa aguja! Cómo se llama y dónde se consigue? Saludos..

Greetings Katy! I love you video, what thread are you using and what size? It looks like a crochet 10! It is possible to switch to a third thread for some rings know and then? Thanks for sharing!!
