+Georgia Seitz Online Beginning Needle Tatting Class: Thank you, I'm looking forward to it. I learned a lot from all your video's (yes I watched most of them yesterday and today ;) ). I am from the Netherlands (excuse me if i'm not writing perfect English) so there is a time difference but that does'nt matther. I can watch at my time
I have watched many of your videos on needle and shuttle tatting. I have a question that I have not been able to find an answer to. I have a pattern that calls for 2 needles. I have not found a video for needle tatting with 2 needles.
for needle tatting you can change colors each round but using 2 colors is a challenge with needles. However that said go for it with 2 needles and see how you like it. Happy Tatting
Georgia Seitz Online Needle...Hi!!! Could this technic use more than two color threads?? I have seen a pendant made with shuttles with different colors, and was wondering if that could be made with a needle. Thank you for sharing and taking the time to make this tutorial. Greetings from Argentina!! 😍😍
@@georgiaseitzonlinebeginnin4714 thank you and, am sorry it took me so long to see your answer! May I ask, if I should make the knot with more than two threads, there will be then, two or more threads coming out of the ball, right? Also, the threads will become the working threads or the core threads alternating, right? Am so sorry for so many questions, it's just that I love to learn more and challenge myself to do different things with a needle!!!! 😍😍 Thank you!!!
Is there a way to do a "blipless join" in two color tatting when doing Lock Joins? I have seen videos on how to do it with regular tatting, but if...... ring with picots made with color A..... chain in color B goes around the ring and you have to make a lock join or shuttle join to the picots around ring that are in a different color. Can't figure out how to avoid the "blip" Can anyone help?
Hello and thank you for watching. I have not heard of it being done before. Sometimes when new techniques are done once they conquer the technique they don't try it using other ways. So for right now I have not gotten any info on how to do what your asking. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. If I do hear of something I will be putting a video up of that soon after it is heard about. LOL. Happy Tatting
thanks to your video i can do 2 color needle tatting, but i ran into a issue most projects require alot of thread for both colors and when i cut it off the ball all i make is a really big knot. Is there a way to do both on the ball???
Hi and thank you for watching. I have to say the answer is probably not. I have not seen any instruction where that has been done before because you need to connect the 2 colors with the knot in order to have the simulation of a continuous thread otherwise the tatting will just come apart. I will ask around the needle tatting ladies if they have ever tried that and what they have found out. As soon as I hear anything different from what I know I will let you know. Happy tatting.
+Georgia Seitz Online Beginning Needle Tatting Class best way i have found is keep knotting and hiding ends of the core thread. was wondering if there was a better way.
Hi Peyoteskye. The other method to hide your ends is to use a floss threader or bare thread and weave it into the stitches. then you would pull the ends in after the work is done. Lesson 11 at this link shows how that is done. ua-cam.com/video/fLQRwEXiVOU/v-deo.html I hope that helps. Happy Tatting
Hi Claire. Thank you for watching. If your using one color you don't have to tie a knot to join the 2 threads together. If using the true ring in your tatting then you will need to follow the instuctions the same as in the video for the true ring. ua-cam.com/video/dEMZ7EQx35o/v-deo.html this video shows you how to do the true ring and how to move beyond the true ring with the thread still attached to the ball. Just remember that when using the true ring your using your tail thread so be sure to have a longer tail thread than usual. I hope this answers your question. Happy Tatting
