For anyone confused about percentages: e.g Let’s say you want to make a 100g batch And you want to use 10% Shea butter What you first do is divide the percentage by 100 (any percentage written as a decimal must be divided by 100) So 10/100 = 0.1 You then multiply 0.1 by your batch size, which in this example is 100 So 0.1 x 100 = 10 So you need 10g of Shea butter Hope this helps
I appreciate you providing that clarification! Quick question from a non-science folk who really appreciates the women who are….what do you mean by “batch”? I’m trying this recipe and using the percentages calculator that BTB recommended, I just don’t fully understand batch. Is a batch, like the size of “one serving” or is it the entire bag of chips lol ?
@@wandavasquez1374 aww 🤍 by batch I mean the total amount of product that you want to make. So if you’re making 1 jar of product and that one jar fits 100g, then your batch size is 100g. If you’re making 2 jars then your batch size is 200g and so on. Batch is just the quantity of product that you want to make. Hope this makes sense.
Ps This formulation ain’t no Home DIY , this stuff is high end formulation, I’m seeing the cosmetic chemist bursting through, keep on doing your thing 💕🎊

I’m with you about this, I see so many sales pitch from some of these content creators with things like champagne extract and a lot of expensive additives that will just go down the sink.
I'm just here to say thank you for this, I've been trying to perfect an emulsified sugar scrub. I appreciate you offering up this formulation free of charge, and supporting others!!! I believe in karma and what you put out there comes back to you, so I wish you all the best for sharing thank you 👌😊❤️
I am a brand new business owner that is starting out I am still in the research, development and testing phases. Your channel popped up on my recommended based on what I have been watching I must say I am very happy to have come across your channel and subscribed right away. Watching a business owner that explains everything is so very encouraging. Thank you
Hi Loves, I've provided you a stronggggg baseline formulation that works well with the ingredients listed. If you're curious about how other ingredients will work , I encourage you to try it yourself. One of the many beautiful things about formulation is experimentation! I have not tried this formulation with ingredients other than what is listed and I dont have the availability to try alternative ingredients to provide you with substitutions...that's a reformulation and your girl is spread thinnnnnnnnnnnnnn. But I love you...hence this formulation. Happy formulating! Do your thing!
OMGOSH HEYYY CHICA ..So I'm new at creating my own hand creams, scrubs, etc. I was a chef at one point and found it to not be exactly what I wanted. I could never figure it out until now. You gave me so much knowledge on what I know now I feel like you're my mentor lol. I JUST WANT TO SAY THANK YOU. Thank you for helping me inspire my business. I studied this video from ins and outs and no joke, I literally studied this video to every single detail and took plenty of notes. Finally I had the courage to try to make this myself but ofc in my own way. It came out EXACTLY like the one in the video. I'm more than pleased and yes I tweeked it just a bit. I did add phenonip instead as my preservative and I must say if you add just about a medium pinch of stearic acid it makes it even more delightful. Thank you for posting this video and sharing your notes. Bless you 🥰 I will continue to watch your videos to learn. Also, I definitely must recommend the brand of xanthan gum by bobs red mill. They are quite expensive but definitely worth every penny. It made the mixing with glycerin quite less effort since it's extremely fine powder almost like triple sifted . It made the mixing extremely easy and NO clumping issues AT ALL. I never write reviews nor this much for that matter but this video meant so much to me. Thank you queen. Keep doing the amazing job you're doing. I'M LEARNING SO MUCH FROM YOU 🥰🥰
The first time I made my sugar scrubs , they were perfect , but I didn’t write down nor weigh the ingredients since I was just starting & amateur. I’ve struggled to get back the texture but I believe this will help me out so much . Thank you . I appreciate you ❤️❤️
Hey Love! I just want to say thank you for this, I have wrecked my brain and pockets trying to come up with a recipe that stays this fluid. Thank you for all your time and research. Many blessing to you and your business, I firmly believe in Karma and honey your return in going to be plentiful.
This video is a life saver! For some reason I've been having a hard time getting scrubs back to the texture I started with and it's been hurting my business! I going to try this asap!! 👸🏾💗 Thank you for this gem! 👏🏾
Ok….. This is probably one of the best videos I’ve learned from. It was so detailed yet not annoying lol!! And you’re voice is so pleasing to the ear. You betta do yo thang girl!!! I’m definitely subscribing. Thank you!!
This looks like a beautiful scrub. A little tip I heard that helped me immensely is when pouring things like fragrance oil, use a wooden skewer. Of course you'll need two hands so it will be hard for filming. But, if you hold the skewer vertically right over the weighing container, then put the lip of whatever you're pouring right on the side of the skewer, the liquid will come out of that bottle and down the skewer perfectly. It was an absolute game changer for me! For some reason the fragrance oils like to travel down the side of the bottle instead of into the beaker.
I love that your video for body sugar scrub is created and projected from a scientific point of view. Not only does it acknowledge your academia level but your Fabulocity as well. It is admirable how you are able to modify Advance science concepts and teach it to folks who aren’t as scientifically inclined as you. Oh wow! Gorgeous formulation, the consistency is really excellent… that’s how I like my scrubs really creamy and moisturizing and will not crumble out of your hands when it’s being applied
Well I must say your scrub looks the best!!! Thank you for the recipe my daughter asked for a sugar scrub for Christmas and this is what I am choosing to make her so thanks again for spreading the love
Consistency looks heavenly! Thank you for making this so easy to understand the formula-very informative. I’ve been tempted to make scrubs but wasn’t sure what ingredients are really necessary etc. Excited to try following your instructions 👍
This was a delight to listen to, your explanations were so elegant and the atmosphere so warm! I look forward to trying this formula, it looks like a beautiful formulation. Thank you! Edit: I'll definitely be using your dissolve -then-hydrate xanthan gum trick in the future
Ok so not only is your voice very soothing, but the product is the best I’ve ever seen!!! Thank you so much for everything. Even the science info in the beginning. Loved it all!!!
Thank you. Love how you got to the point no music 🎶 in the video. You have a great voice and you kept my attention. I want to make this. Trying your figure out to change percentages to ounces or grams!
Really appreciate you taking the time to make a tutorial breakdown about all the ins and outs about ingredients, demonstrate and record it for many of us struggling to find 'the right texture' for a sugar scrub. Very well done. Thankyou soo much 💓
Wait!!! Queen I didn't watch the video to the end because I ran to add you on IG, I stopped right before you started to add the mixture to the jars. So now sitting here finishing watching the rest and heard you rapping and doing the ASMR I am over here rolling :-) This truly made my day
