    Hi Tara! I just want to say THANK YOU. You have literally changed my life. I have been reading a lot of literature regarding ingredientes and formulations for months now, trying to underrstand the use of all of them, but it's quite different seeing someone actually going through the motions and explaining in such a simple way. I am going through a very difficult situation right now (as many of us I guess), and after watching a few of your videos I muster the courage to go ahead and buy the materials needed to start making body creams / butters. I am scared but also confident and hopefully in a couple of months i will have my own formulatiosn ready for sale. You are changing people's lives with yout videos. I am proof of it. ♥

Also, I’m not sure if you’ve ever did this but I would love to see you make/play around with body mist/perfumes that last all day (like with alcohol because water based ones don’t last & they turn milky looking). Interesting video. Btw, While Stearic Acid is not an emulsifier, when Stearic Acid Triple Pressed reacts with Triethanolamine in a formulation, it does create Triethanolamine Stearate, which is an emulsifier created in situ during the fornulation and yes, it can be used alone as an emulsifier without adding any other emulsifier to your formulation.

    I have to say that I really like your very explanatory tutorial for beginners. Being a newby, I have purchased a whipped foaming soap that I use for my shaving soap recipe that comes out super good and foamy. I now have a small clientele of guys who love using the shaving soap which is just mildly scented. My question: Can I use the premade whipped foaming soap and incorporate the sugars, salts, powders, etc., for a body scrub? Also, I liked all of your recipes, and want to do one from scratch, but in going back and reviewing your first unscented recipe, I think I missed something(?)...I didn't see where you added anything to the Stearic acid before covering it with aluminum foil and adding it to the water bath(?) I don't think you heated it without adding oil...can you tell me if I missed anything that you added to the stearic acid phase-- it's the first recipe. Thank you!💖💖

    • @TaraLeee
      @TaraLeee  3 роки тому +1

      Thank you so much! I’m glad you are loving the series. 😁 & yup you can use a premade soap base and add exfoliants to it. And the first recipe just had stearic acid in the heated oil phase. I didn’t add any oil to it.
      Also I’m glad you have customers loving your items! That’s amazing 😁

      I currently do not have SCI, but is glyceryl stearate a good option for this foaming scrub ? I know it's not a foaming agent, but as a thickener, will the consistency be different ?

    • @TaraLeee
      @TaraLeee  3 роки тому

      Glyceryl stearate is more of a co emulsifier so it wouldnt work for emulsifying the oils, but you should be able to use it instead of the stearic acid. Give it a go and let me know how it turns out 😁

    Now, I am trying to understand the diference in this 3 formulations and trying to get how you swip ingredients and why. For example, the 2nd formula, has way less water and more sugar thant the other 2. Why is that?? What are you swiping it for?
    I understand that as the 1st formula is not an emulsified formula, has more water phase and more stearic acid to make it a bit "harder". But I don't get why the 2nd one has that little water and much more sugar on it. Thanks a lot for all your videos, are amazing!

    Hi I swore that I am a new subscriber which I thought I been subscribed lol But I didn’t sorry for the lateness but I have learned so much from your channel I am so thankful I found you I am so tired of investing in these store bought brands that have the same ingredients and charge a arm a leg toe and tooth for them and I did research and saw how I could be making my own and stumbled across your channel like maybe the beginning of this year but I def am going to make my own products and I’m sooooo glad your products are vegan and eco-friendly like you said I don’t want to just mimic a product I want to create my own the safe way and not just Half ass it like a lot of sellers on Etsy I want to at least be able to tell people what is in my stuff besides natural ingredients and Vegan, cruelty yada yada yada lol I want to do it the right way and the safest way as possible I think the most care and knowledge should go into anything someone is going to be putting on or in their bodies! thank you for your guidence and education!! I also wanted to know if you could make a video on Bath Milk :) I want to make my own and kinda been searching finding some helpful tips but your videos give me detail and reasons why certain products are best for skin! Thnx so much again for your uploads and loads of information!

    Hi i luv ur recipes and tutorials. Should I use distilled water in second recipe? Why use didtilled water? I didn’t add it but the fomula was good. And, if I don’t use distilled water, e-wax doesn’t need. Right?

    You are amazing i ♡all ur recipe.. can we use SLS with CAPB as surfactant ???

    • @TaraLeee
      @TaraLeee  3 роки тому +1

      I’m not sure what CAPB is so I’m not sure about that one, and I’ve never actually worked with SLS but I do know it comes in a powder form like SCI so it may work. Give it a go and let me know how it works out 😁

    Hello Tara love love your recipes! I use your foaming sugar scrub recipe in this video. The second blue one. I have just replaced somne of the sunflower oil with shea butter and increased the sugar in it . One thing that happened after doing that is that when I ship these, They leak and the oil gets seperated. Can you guide me why that can happen? thank you so much!
