- Quitting alcohol. Stop drinking alcohol. Giving up the booze. This is my journey of quitting binge drinking after 36 years. I'm on day 30 now alcohol free. • Quitting Alcohol
30 days! Congrats man! I'm 558 days sober, every week I feel stronger. So worth it. Big respect
Don't get over confident.. Keep your guard up.
Never touched alcohol for about 4 years and its great waking up without feeling as if a badger has slept in your mouth.
25+ years drink free for me. If I can do this so can you Gareth. Stay strong.
I've not had a drink for 3 weeks now ...keep it up m8 👍
As your body cleans itself of the booze, you will start to fell better, happier and more clear headed, as you are no longer poisoning yourself, so enjoy this as it is your bodies way of saying thank you. ;)
Day 22 for me! Congrats on the big 30! I have found that the better I feel the more I am tempted to go back... but I know this. Don't believe the lie that says you can pick it back up for a bit. I have fell for that one many times... A made up mind is a powerful thing. I tell myself: I lack nothing. I have everything I need. God bless you and all. you love.
I used to drink 2 bottles of whiskey a day, every day. It was so difficult getting sober, from that (and pills), but I’m doing it and have been for several years. Keep going!!! Mark.
Well done my friend, I had this epiphany about 15 years ago, I just stopped one night after coming back from a gig, I'm a magician and used to have a fair few drinks after the nights entertainment, I have a similar path to the one you are on, it does dip a bit, because the reason you were having a drink always comes back. I hope you keep up the challenge, you sound as if you will, I take my hat off to you, it's a tough old game, and sometimes you will wonder why you are doing it, and that's when you have to be strong, I didn't have a drink problem, I wasn't an alcoholic, but I needed to stop, with me there were no half measures, all or bugger all, that's me. if I wanted a drink now, I would have one, but I keep thinking that I would have to reset the clock again, and I'm not sure that I could do it again. I know you aren't going back on this, but all the same you have my admiration and best wishes for what lies ahead. Cheers Gareth ,this is a very important video, but aren't they all. !
Nearly 70 years old and I found I was no longer enjoying alcohol. Drinking for the sake of it. Not that I drank heavily, never binge drinking, cant remember the last time I was drunk, I would have a couple of cans of beer a night. Now I drink alcohol free beer, the Guinness is great, I feel more alert, hard to explain. Having a dodgy liver , caused by years of drinking, and medication I was taking just help me to make this commitment. Good luck, I hope you can keep alcohol free, 2 years for me now. I'm sure you can also do it.
Don't take it for granted.
I don't drink because my father is a chronic alcoholic. He has had numerous wake up calls that he didn't heed. I now accept that I cannot change the fact that he will drink himself to death.
Still walking with you, still not had a drink and not even wanting one! We’ve got this❤ 💪🏻
I'm 15 years in!! You won't regret this keep going you look great! You're doing the right thing xx
It’s been five month now, since I had my last drink. Well done buddy 👍🏼
Be on guard for the unguarded moment. Don't forget that last drunk.
Be careful!!! Don't think it's left you. I'm 4 months in and the old mindset kicks in. Stay diligent and free!😃
A lot of people don’t realise the beauty in the struggle. Without the struggle, we don’t grow.
One of the most important jobs you will ever have is being a dad,a dad that is present and 100% reliable and your being that, remember you only get one go at this, well done, great start.😊
Exactly as I felt after giving up. It's been 19 years now since I give up and don't miss it one bit. I have the utmost confidence you can do this. Congrats Gareth.
