Hello hope your well and thankyou for watching the video, heres a direct link to the backpack 3fulgear.co.uk/product/packs/qidian-pro-backpack/ Thankyou again i really appreciate your support
I wonder if the long straps on the shoulders are so you can rest your hands/few fingers in whilst hiking to hold them in the air and help prevent puffy fingers .
I have this pack and I do really love it! I have a Gregory Maven as well and I do like it...but the weight and the amount of storage of the 3FUL pack makes it so much better. I hiked in the rain on my first outing with this pack and everything inside stayed nice and dry. Can't wait to get back on the trail to use it more!
Interesting back system, but I am wondering if it isn't putting the weight of the pack a bit too far from your back, making it more tiring to carry it around... Do you have any thoughts on that?
This is a vert adjustable bag you can bring it closer to your back so no problem there.its just about finding the right pad thickness so you don't sweat from the sit mat too much
the straps at the side are long because you can also maximise the size of the strap and hold your back pad down more (across the back) instead of using it to hold whatever in the side. i use them to keep the gossimer gear ultralight foam pad in place since its thinner and flimsier.
I have the featured quidian backpack and the Naturehike. I much prefer the quidian, it's so lightweight. I I highly rate Naturehike. The backpack is really good quality. IMO you need a certain length back or the frame might dig in. The shoulder straps are very close together compared to most other backpacks and dont equally aligned on both sides. The chest strap doesn't adjust so is a problem if you are female. The hip strap pockets are too small and the zips unzip backwards which is initially irritating. So if your body fits the backpack, it's a decent backpack.
I must get the naturehike one and compare them I think it would be interesting to see, I don't think I'd be keen on backward zippers though haha, one thing I love about the quidian is just how big the hip belt pockets are, thankyou for your comment
I used one these for a bit, but unfortunately as they only make one size it was just but too short in torso length for me. Other than that, I was quite happy with it. Wife has been using hers for multi-day backpacking for about 3 years now, she loves it. She uses her 3/4 length mat rather than full length for the back support. It works well. Huge hip belt pockets. Water proof material (but not seam sealed, so used a pack liner). Those lifter straps are so long so its easier to tighten them yersen with the pack on. As with all frameless packs, you just have to be careful with pack weight: a lot of peoples problems with comfort I think have been to do with that. From memory, its 40l or 45l internal volume with an extra 10l or 15l in the external pockets.
Hi mate thanks for the comment yeah I'm yet to test it more, and the internal volume is actually 56 litres so all together you have well over 60 litres which is amazing, thanks for watching
@@JoshTyldesley this is my only other issue with the company (so only tangentially related to their products): massively confusing website. The non-pro qidian (which is the same pack without the UHMW material) they describe as 40+16l. The pro: they just say 56l internal volume. I'm not *sure* which is right, but comparing it to a 32l osprey and 58l osprey I lean more towards 40+16.
I was so close to buying this one, it has some really good features but in the end I went for the Naturehike Rock 65+5 in so called Dyneema. I love it as it has an internal frame and I thought by the time you added the mat on the back of the 3ful it would be about the same price. I'd love to see you do a comparison video, I know you'd have to buy the Naturehike but you'd sell it pretty easily after the vid if you still preferred the 3Ful. Can I ask, did you think about the Naturehike. Great video, cheers
Hello thanks for the comment, I havw seem the naturehike rock It looks a brilliant pack but I opted for the 3ful one because it was frameless I really do like the idea of the sleep mat as the frame, having used.it now it is super comfortable, then again I have heard the stitching isn't the greatest on it, what a great video idea the comparison of the both would be interesting, thankyou, and if I can how do you find the naturehike? What's the comfort like and stuff?
@@JoshTyldesley I think the Naturehike is superb but... The 3ful has some lovely features, the hip pockets are far better on the 3ful but I think the belt itself looks better on the Naturehike as it's removable and I think the weakest point of the 3ful is how the belt is fitted to the pack. As I say it was soooo difficult to choose but again the Naturehike only cost me about £65 delivered from AliExpress, amazing isn't it. Being 20st I really struggled trying to find a pack to fit me and I have had to extend the waist belt a bit plus I've modded it a bit with extra bits here and there. I live Peterborough way which I'm sure is nowhere near you as I would of lent it to you to do the comparison. I've also added some bungee to each shoulder strap so I can store my trekking poles under each arm on the go etc. I think I might make a vid myself to show all the mods I've had to do to get a pack to fit a fatty 😂
@camping_guru_uk hahaha brilliant mate and yeah I'm from manchester so a while away, but yeah I'm fat aswell so I get you o get you haha fair play to you for doing the mods and getting out there fair play
On the rock, There are these buckles on the sides for the roll top, but I use them as a second sternum strap. It really pulls the bag close to my back. I really like this feature, since the load lifters are a bit useless(in my experience)
Hello. Thanks for watching, when the bag got delivered it was rolled up to probably the size of an A4 peice of paper maybe a little bigger, yeah that's true ite frameless so there is nothing stopping you rolling it up small
This pack is incredibly uncomfortable. I used it for a 30km hike, and I had bruises on my shoulders where they dug in. The strap foam really hard - like really, really, carboard hard with very thick square edged straps. It's a shame, as it ruins the pack. The pack is also a little large for anyone who is going ultralight. The thing on the back to hold a z-lite is also pants, it even looks like a pair of pants, and it just doesn't work. The whole pack just cuts too many corners and has too many design compromises. It seems like 3F UL Gear based it on a photo of a nice pack from an american cottage brand rather than an actual design. There are other options in this price range which would be better. Or spend a bit more, get a montane or something like that. You don't need a 55 litre pack if you're ultralight.
Thankyou for the comment I really appreciate it, I'm yet to test it on a multi day but when I have done some miles with it I will do another honest video with a honest opinion on the bag, I do see some of your points with the shoulder straps being hard,I've walked 4 miles with it atm and feels very comfortable for me,but time will tell I guess, thanks again mate

I really like it I'm yet to test it properly on more conditions but seems really good and it's comfortable thankyou for your comment
Yeh that's really decent! Love the colour and it's still very slim build even tho it's got big capacity.
Thanks for sharing as always💛
It's abit like me slim build but big stomach capacity;) hahaha I wish

How I tidy my straps up is with hair ties or masking tap is another way. Hope that's helpful. Ruth

Ermm I'm not sure probably not as it wouldn't hold its shape, thanks for the comment
