If we were to get an American-made franchise in smash, Doom just fits.
I'd make the chainsaw his B neutral special with input changes for directional swings. My main reason for this: I wish to see Kirby swinging a chainsaw.

Fun Facts:
11:00 This Marauder kills himself by dashing into the wall and getting crushed. I originally thought the grenade killed him, but he died before the explosion.
12:12: This Doom Hunter had its Glory kill glitch, and as a result, it became invincible and I couldn't kill it. The empty ammunition is because I literally threw everything I had at him and he didn't die.
I also ran into a glitch where I rushed too quickly through a section and ended up glitching a cutscene, getting rid of my weapons but giving me free movement around the stage.
Also, yes, that Mancubus at 14:53 did indeed do a flip.

Replace chainsaw with the crucible
The only thing I would change is that I would make the Crucible his smash attacks and remove the chainsaw entirely due to South Korea if Tekken and Alisa are anything to go by. If that isn't an issue for smash then I'm all for it.
The chainsaw would work best with the down smash as it kind of fits but yeah definitely use the crucible.
Seriously, one of the victory animations has to be the Doom Shuffle.
I love this. This sounds exactly like something Nintendo would do to Doom Slayer, I kinda expected the Blood Punch to be a smash attack where he dashes forward and punches.

Agreed, I love these moveset much more than the other popular smash moveset content creators on UA-cam, I wish they got as much attention as others do
YES. This is the exact mechanic I had in mind, sort of a mixture between Hero's MP and Olimar's Pikmin with beating ammo out of opponents.

This sounds incredibly faithful to the doom series but op
I'd actually argue that he's a character that evens himself out.
-The Super Shotgun's power is incredible, but it leaves you unable to attack for a full 60 frames thanks to a reload period. This is around 3-4x longer than your average attack in Smash Bros.
-The limited use of his artillery demands precision, and the ability to only shoot straight in front of you limits your camping options.
-Reflectors can restrict a decent portion of the Slayer's moveset
-The Slayer's main focus is burst damage, and excels when constantly moving around. If not allowed to Hit & Run, the Slayer could be in serious trouble, which puts him at odds against characters with a heavy focus on Stage control (EG: Pac-Man, Villager, Simon/Richter)
@@FeliciaFan_ I guess I'm most worried about the ammo cap that doomguy has, compared to hero (I'm not as familiar with how much resources robin has to play with). -his range attacks don't seem to be as difficult to deal with compared to hero's side b charge 2 or many of hero's down b attacks (especially kaboom), but doomguy seems to have so much resources
-depending on how it would interact with shields, the slayer dash could be pretty hard to deal with (though that's a shieldstun question).
-compared to samus's super missile, how fast would doomguy's rockets be?
-what's the startup on the ballista?
-I'm not too concerned about his power because he is a big body
-the amount of utility for doomguy's nades (especially frags) doesn't seem as great as snake's, mostly due to not being frame 1 like snake's, so fair trade
-melee attacks seem pretty balanced in comparison
-the crucible seems pretty fair and super shotgun is very easy to punish
-on second thought he doesn't seem op
@@chinsum9278 I imagine the Slayer Dash doing minimal shield stun, which I feel is fair, as it's not usually recommended you dash directly into your opponents in Doom Eternal.
Compared to Samus' Missiles, I imagine they'd fire a bit slower. They'd be closer in speed to Snake's Nikita in Brawl, though not that brutally slow.
As for Ballista Charge, I'd say its start-up is really quick, but the wind-down is long, which is the case for most of the single-shot weaponry.
It’d be cool if you could have the weapon wheel like shulk has his manado effects except with doom guys weapons/guns

It's real finicky to get. I often try to purposefully get it because I think it's awesome and I never am able to (unless of course I'm not trying to. Then it just randomly happens half the time lol)
If he is added in smash, there is no way to nerf him, he is just to powerful to get accepted.
What if the slayers smash attack (when in a 1v1) Will do a technical glory kill on the enemy. Idk I just had the idea :/

See i would go the opposite with it, give him the Jason effect slow as shit but insanely damaging his main form of movement being the grapple hook, his guns being weak but having a stun effect his normals slow as shit but where his actual damage is, final smash rotates between BFG and Chainsaw.
Speed is the epitome of Doom. Movement is crucial to any Doom title, both classic and modern. This design of yours doesn't fit the character at all.
Using the crucible as a final smash shows him jumping and stabbing the brain of the other fighter like he did to icon of sin that would be too cool
Even if these guys ain't getting into smash.

i think he should have a shield break/grab related mechanic, to mirror the glorykills in his game. grabbing an enemy while their on the shield break staggered status, will immediately perform a special grab attack that will deal heavy dmg and knockback. think something like terries buster wolf. if performed at a target above 100% it will instantly KO them.
If you’re still doing Character concepts how about Morrigan from Darkstalkers?
I don’t ever expect doom guy to make it into smash bros, but considering doom eternal is my favorite game of all time, I would love if he were to get added

I don't know Mortal Kombat just seems more fitting for is brutal nature but this is cool none the less.
In Smash, his move set would complement his character perfectly. Fast, mobile and aggressive yet he’d be made of glass so one wrong move could cost a life. He’d have a sense of resource management and he’s aloud a full arsenal. Just like his games. This is all something that MK CAN’T give him. MK’s gameplay is reaction based, and it’s very slow, the complete opposite of Doomguy’s philosophy. All MK can give him is the gore, he’d just feel like a re-skinned Terminator. I’m not saying that he shouldn’t come to MK, I have both and would definitely buy him. But if I had to choose, I’d go for Smash.
@@masterdeity3400 also BJ Blazkowicz from Wolfenstein fits in Mortal Kombat because not only he fits the tone of MK more than Doomguy, he simply wouldn't be interested in the tournament. That and Wolfenstein requires you to fight your enemies one by one which is literally perfect for a fighting game like Mortal Kombat and his movement fits MK much more than Doomguy who is known to be a fast guy who can outrun and run circles around the demons. Also Doomguy wouldn't be able to bring his music and that's a huge disadvantage as Doom's ost is iconic.

No kidding. They chose not to include the Doom Slayer not because he was "too mature" for this game, but simply because they couldn't figure out how his abilities would work and how they would match up against the rest of the cast. Seems like this guy cracked it.
