- Fighting Games are a welcome addition to Smash at this point, with Ryu being a legendary veteran while Terry's set to make his mark in November, but what if we were to add another one? One from the Legendary Tekken franchise? Let's find out!

New Viewers, I please request: Note the date this video was created. I am aware of Heihachi sadly becoming a Mii Costume again, I don't need to be reminded. Thank you.
FeliciaFan I feel you, dude. 😩
I wonder why Bandai Namco never put Heihachi in Smash Bros. Heck, they developed this game and they put Pac•Man in this because he's created by them! So why?
At least he's represented twice on Smash as a Mii and a Taunt, anything more than any other Tekken/Namco rep
My guess is that what also didn’t help in Heihachi’s case is that his most recent voice actor recently passed away, so that makes things more difficult
I feel you dude. But his son Kazuya got into Smash.
Heihachi costume in smash: aged well
Kazuya in smash: aged well again
So true 😂
Perfect! Way to go. You’ve reignited my hope of seeing Heihachi in Smash!
Heihachi The King of Iron Fist or Is Ready For The Next Battle.
Then try to make your own moveset
@@donjohnlopez1801 😈
Kazuya got in instead
@@LiamScorer At least Heihachi appears in the background on Mishima Dojo for paying tribute to his late Japanese voice actor.
Welp, close enough.
Heihachi(the way you described/explained him) would make the smash fans that dont play other fighting games cry... and I love it. To think some have tried complaining about Terry's "GO!" inputs
They would lose their shit when they learn that they have to reset the stick position from front then do down, downfront unlike the z motion where you can go straight from front to down, downfront.
KoharuBlaz _The QuantumFox_ Yeah. This move set seems like a nightmare to learn. 😅 I don’t remember people complaining about Terry’s GO inputs, though.
Ngl, if this moveset made it in sakurai is gonna have a difficult time trying to explain this to the kiddies in a simple way that is easy to grasp for them
....yeah.
About that...
@@Akrenix yeah I know
Kazuya he is ready for next battle
SO GOOD NEWS
I think my only problem with Heihachi is wondering what stage they’d use for him.
There’s the cliff side from the end of the first and second Tekken games. The Mishima dojo. And there is also the volcano and the Mishima Zaibatsu headquarters.
There’s actually too many options. Lol
Not related to stages, but it would be so cool if his main music is Ground Zero Funk from Tekken DR
The Mishima Dojo is the stage they might go with.
@@absol881 I think the Mishima headquarters is the best option with helicopters flying by and shooting the stage. Not to mention that the rooftop is perfect for throwing opponents off stage.
Heihachi is now gone but kazuya is here 2 years later
Jesus, this moveset is a lot to take in. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending how you see it), I think this is a good way to put a tekken character in smash. I now see what sakurai meant by it being hard to put one in. Tekken seems to be A LOT more complicated than street fighter or king of fighters. I'm not one for giving characters gimmicks for the sake of giving characters gimmicks, but I feel that tekken needs them in order for it to feel rightfully represented in smash. Either way, I can't wait for another fighting game character in smash because they're just so unique and interesting. So here's to heihachi for smash!
3:48 Well Min Min is here so...
I’m Shocked your move-set ideas is very Unique Dude i’m impressed!!
If Heihachi was actually this complex with canceling and stuff, the fans that complained about Terry's GO! Inputs would be crying their asses off lol
Who's here after Kazuya was revealed for Smash?
Kazuya Mishima in Smash baybeeee!!!
As an additional bonus, I think Heihachi's Tekken 3 costume should feature golden sparks rather than blue to mirror Tekken Tag 1
So many things I like about this! You really went into depth. I would imagine the final version (if it happens IRL) to be slightly less complex but keeps the tilt system you described
Nintendo:Interesting video.now lets make this character a mii
Great video and very detailed moveset! I'm guessing his non-KO moves would launch lower to the ground than most other Smash characters, to create a Tekken-style juggle, with more ground-based combos.
Hell yeah. The power of.....Tekken.
In order to make heihachi work as a Tekken character, the game would need a few changes, mainly in the controller option layout, since we have two buttons that have already the same function in the controller, two jump buttons, as well as two shield buttons, and if you take in mind the extra grab button, that makes 3 extra buttons, so that in order to use them, sakurai should have a much more versatile game controller customization, that, or make him have two options, one simpler controller, or one that has the most similarities to his original gameplay, which i think would work the best for a better representation, and could be, as a result, a more difficult character to learn, but he can be, potentially, the most broken and rewarding character when you learn his mechanics
I think the truth is he didn't have time to make the character, because you need to know he was in a tight schedule and Ryu, Roy, and Lucas were already done and were placeholders that we have seen when someone leaked it. Sakurai just saying he couldn't figure out a moveset for him, more like didn't have time to figure out a moveset for him. Ryu was simple and it didn't take time to make a moveset for him. Roy and Lucas were quick. Now is no excuse for Ultimate. Plus I will drop all my mains to main Heihachi.
I mean, Ryu is only really simple in comparison to someone like Heihachi.
@@eoinmcdonnell1303 Not even close.
@@eoinmcdonnell1303 But at the same time. This is outdated as fuck, and we know Heihachi is deconfirm because he's back to being a mii costume. The only characters left now is Kazuya and Jin to join smash since they are also the main and the poster boys.
Well done. And yes, I see the date. Just because it's Kazuya instead, doesn't mean other what if movesets aren't enjoyable.
Very good moveset. I think that it will be really cool to see a Tekken character in smash, especially to have a crossover with SNK, street fighter and Tekken in the same game.
But anyway, could you make a video on Reimu from Touho Project or Monokuma from Danganronpa some day. I think they have potential to be some very interesting characters in smash.
Agreed. This video just *shows* that Tekken should be represented in Smash already.
2020 06.22
i love this moveset idea, but in my opinion, sometimes less is more, having 9 gimmicks and tons of specials depending on what move you input after one another sounds way too complicated. I know thats kinda de point, but i would totally just leave the jab and tilts strings gimmick, and the rage gimmick, side steps are essential to Tekken, but i dont think it would work on smash.
Personally, I don't like the idea of giving characters gimmicks for the sake of giving characters gimmicks. Gimmicks should only be there if they have a reason to, like better representing an aspect of a character. So for tekken, I do believe that these kinds of gimmicks are needed, unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you see it), to properly represent tekken as well as smash represents street fighter and king of fighters in a character's moveset.
Actually, Heaven's Wrath would be the second physical counter. Mii Brawler has one.
what about little mac?
jiggs 🗿🗿🗿 oops
Great video as always Felicia!
Fantastic video! I wanna see this old ass man beat the shit out of these youngin fighters we got in Smash!
Heihachi in smash bros pls. Kazuya and Jin can be just alt costumes for him, like the Koopalings and Bowser Jr.
Kazuya is the tekken representative
WOW. This sounds both cool het SOO complicated. Tekken just has so many moves. Now that Heihachi is confirmed as a Mii fighter, maybe hell join in the next game OR it turns out that Miis dont deconfirm 😀 even if they do deconfirm, maybe Jin/Kazuya can join?
Well. . . Since Terry Bogard's Moveset is rather Complicated; I Don't see why Heihachi COULDN'T be in Smash; ESPECIALLY since he doesn't have a Mii Fighter Costume in SSBU as of DLC Pack 4
I know! I was so tense during the Mii Fighter reveal that Heihachi would only be a Mii Costume, as it would make most sense to put him in as one then because of the fighting game theme, but apparently not! Of course it’s not 100% guaranteed, but I’m pretty sure Tekken is being put into consideration for DLC, and I think you know who should be in from then on 🤜🏻
Yeah. . . but you know what an Unlikely Pipe Dream DLC Choice I'd Love to see would be?
TJ Combo from Killer Instinct 2013
p.s. I'm curious to see how He'd Play in Smash. . .
Not anymore unfortunately... I do still wish he gets a chance on the future
Welp, RIP chances for Heihachi.
@@Marcelo-rs8yh Did someone mention Kazuya? Because he’s in now!
@@Alwoomy It’s like a revival 😊
This video gave me great ideas for Heihachis moveset in Smash Bros. Crusade! He's almost done, I just need to implement a final smash but it should be a big combo from one of the tekken-games ;)
Damn. A bunch of smaller gimmicks made coherent with each other. Great work! He could be so cool!
Also, would it work better if his normal and smash tilts worked like Ryu and Ken's, with the normal tilts being light attacks and the smash tilts being heavier?
You've got a new subscriber
I think there should to be 2 skins Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima and maybe Kazumi bc yk same family because robin had a female version for her so I don’t see why Kazumi should be a different character because keep in mind I think I’m not for sure but female robin and robin are two separate characters I also forgot that Kazumi should be a separate character I also support this your opinion because street fighter is in smash and steet fighter collabed with tekken (game called street fighter x tekken) so yeah I think Heihachi and Kazumi should be in smash
He's my favorite character
i think what sakurai ment is not that there was NO moves that can be used but there's TOO MANY moves to choose from
I think it was hard for Sakurai to think of a way to translate a character from a 3D fighter into the world of Smash Brothers. That’s how I took it, anyways.
You know what I think. Sakurai didn't have time to learn the moves, because he was at his deadline, so he didn't have time to make him as a playable character. IN SMASH 4. Didn't say anything about Ultimate, don't forget Heihachi has key moves in Tekken that he uses a lot. That barely takes brain power. Heihachi will also be the second in Smash Ultimate with four buttons, Terry has four buttons same with Heihachi.
This is any amazing moveset Concept and as someone who wants Heihachi I enjoyed every second of it. This deserves more views.
A few things I would change
1) I would get rid of the effects of Rage if you use a move that uses the Rage gimmick to make it more accurate to Tekken 7 where if you blow your rage you’re in your own.
2) I would give Wind God Fist a perfect input where it actually launches for combos like Falcon’s Side B, and is completely safe on block.
3) I would make his standard Jab combo his 112 string since it’s more iconic to the Mishima family for the exception of Jin.
4) I’d change the seconds colors of the Alts. so they’re not all just grey/black and white.
Yeah I do agree here. Wind God Fist should be the easy input, but if you can do the true input (f, n, d, DF 2 like in Tekken) you get the Electric Wind God Fist (which in Tekken, is safe on block and as of Season 3, does more damage). And absolutely his 1,1,2/1,2,2 string should be the jab combo. Though I had the thought of his map having walls like the Terry stage, but changing his jab string when the opponent is against the wall (like in Tekken he does d/f+1,1 into 1+2 (the Demons Breath) for his Wall Combo). That's just me though? I'd love to see Heihachi (or, Kazuya) in Smash personally as a Tekken player myself.
What would his entrance animation be? You’ve never done entrances.
He'd probably appear on stage in a flash of Electricity, similar to his entrance animation in Tekken 3 seen at 23:43
FeliciaFan Similar to Snake’s entrance animation?
@@FeliciaFan_ Good idea....👍
Yessss this needs to happen I’d die 😍😍😍😍😍
I have some suggestions for your next one:
•Dr. Eggman (he can work.)
•Albert Wesker
•Vergil. (You’ve Done Dante, so why not?)
•Monster Hunter
•Rex & Pyra
And that’s it.
They couldn't add rex because xenoblade chronicles 2 started development after super smash bros ultimate and I don't think they would add him now
Luis Machado That was during planning for the base roster and the first batch of DLC. There’s more than enough time to add him now that we’re getting more characters.
I think Leon, jill, or Chris would be a tad bit better, but that is just my opinion
I have to say this is very impressive. I've always wanted a Tekken fighter but said they likey wouldn't include any due to the complexity of moves, inputs and game mechanics (bounds, screws, wall splats, etc.) Required to accurately reflect the game. I wouldn't be surprised if Sakurai was intimidated thinking of how to incorporate all of this. If Heihachi is included with a moveset and mechanics like this he will be busted for sure, in the right hands. Well done.
Well, your dreams have come true.kazuya joins the battle!
Heihachi can’t special cancel. Given that Tekken does not have special moves
I actually think Heihachi may not be able to special cancel since Tekken doesn’t really share that with other fighting but i love the tilt limbs idea
Noice :)
tbh most of PSASBR moveset would work nicely in Smash, with Square as neutral, Triangle as Smash, and Circle as Special.
I hope he has the rocket final smash like in PSASBR and just like in that game, each character has its own animation while stuck to the rocket
I still can't believe they didn't put this man in smash, mii costume just ain't the same
It totally could be done, heihachi was in ps all stars, after all.
Heichia mishma is requested character but he in PlayStation all star battle royale so Jin Kazan should sbbu #jinvsryu
Jin or Heihachi, either way I would cry of joy
Or Kazuya
It doesn't matter.
18:27 what about jigglypuff?
Game God what about it
@@jojoolegario1690 it's up special isnt normal
Game God oh
Could you do one for Mortal Kombat?
Either Scorpion 🦂🔥 or Subzero ❄️
Scorpion....but this is about Tekken, not Mortal Kombat.
Kazuya Mishima: Wins
So basically, his normal moves are Marth's dancing blade?
These sound great, but maybe it’s a bit much? This sounds like a nightmare to learn in a game like Smash Bros.
I don't think that Sakurai said that he couldn't think of a moveset for Heihachi, but rather that he couldn't find a way to translate Heihachi's moveset into Smash while staying true to the character.
Tekken has slow movement, small hitboxes, and next to no airgame -- adding a Tekken character to Smash, while also being as true to the source material as the other fighting game reps are, would be next to impossible. You *could* add Heihachi to Smash, but unless you wanted him to be a Little Mac - esque non-character, you'd have to change so much about him that he wouldn't be a Tekken character anymore. Katsuhiro Harada, Tekken's producer, has himself said that making a 3-D character work in a 2-D space is much harder than making a 2-D character work in a 3-D space, and that goes doubly for such a 'non-traditional' fighter as Smash.
I think Nightmare from Soul Calibur would be a much better Arena fighter rep, due to SC's larger Hitboxes, faster movement, and ring-out system making it a much more natural fit for Smash.
Kasumi from dead or alive has to be next
I'd be thrilled to have Heihachi in Smash Ultimate, as I remember playing Tekken 3 and getting my ass handed to me by him too many times to count. The one problem I see, though, is that both his Japanese voice actors have passed away, and usually Japan respects their voice actors who passed on by having their characters written out, no longer included, etc. etc. It must have been a tough call having to "rewrite" Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker with the tragic passing of Carrie Fisher. Anyways, the character Roy Campbell had stopped appearing in Metal Gear games and with Heihachi... well... his character got axed in Tekken 7 anyway. Also, I know that the character Master Xehanort had been... Actually, does anyone know if he was re-casted for Kingdom Hearts III? Or was it sometime after the voice recording was finished that his Japanese voice actor passed away?
Despite that being the case, Heihachi's a special case in the vein that he's a Fighting game character, and a very popular one at that. Despite having died in Tekken 7, there's no doubt in my mind that Heihachi will be playable in future games, but will instead have no story impact to keep things in line with his death. You can't just drop a long-time character in a Fighting game, regardless if they're dead or not. M.Bison died in Street Fighter V, and I assure you he's going to be playable in Street Fighter 6 at some point.
@@FeliciaFan_ Oh, I know death never stopped a character from being in Smash Bros. I'm just wondering if it would be considered disrespectful to his two voice actors IF Heihachi was to be in Smash Ultimate.
@@MetalZuko Snake died in Metal Gear 4 and look at him. He's back in Smash bros.
@@BlazenPowers Snake?! SNAAAAAAKE!!
Blazen Powers True, but that’s because he was in Smash Bros. Brawl before he died, and he was brought back due to the “Everyone Is Here!” selling point of bringing back every Smash character ever. Heihachi, on the other hand, would be a newcomer long after his voice actor died.
What happens if Heihachi activated his Final Smash with only two opponents?
You have a final smash for 1v1, and for 1v3+... but what if it is 1v2????
where are electrics and Omen thunder god fist ?
Jin would have a higher chance of getting in Smash.
you were close!
Too bad that Jin wasn’t a pallet swap instead of an alternate costume but maybe next time if Kazuya will be in the next Smash with Jin as an echo fighter just like with Ryu and Ken.
LETS FUCKING GO KAZUYAAAA
I see you weren't bold enough to give him the diaper as an alt......which I think is for the best
We need Tekken, dude. Tekken was literally *born* on PlayStation hardware, and iconic titles such as Tekken 2 and the masterpiece Tekken 3 are to be known through a Tekken representative. The series shouldn't be left in the shadows, especially due to the fact that *Bandai Namco* (the company that makes Tekken games) has worked on Smash Ultimate, and yet it seems to me that both Bandai Namco and Katsuhiro Harada (the producer of the Tekken franchise) are so oblivious to the fact that Tekken exists. It comes off as pathetic in my eyes. Street Fighter gets to be represented. Same with The King Of Fighters, and the unsupported Virtua Fighter. It's not right, especially due to the fact that Tekken is the second best-selling fighting game franchise of all time. It needs more attention, especially due to the fact that one stellar title (Tekken 3) helped get the franchise on the map (as in, the popularity of Tekken blew up from that point on). And yet, there's no Tekken representation in Smash at all. Not even spirits. It's not fair that other fighting game franchises get to be represented, but not Tekken. In my eyes, either Kazuya or Heihachi Mishima need to be the characters who will represent Tekken. I feel that Kazuya is the better option of the two, due to his Devil Gene. Speaking of Kazuya, I know how he should behave in Smash. In Tekken, when a character's health gets low, a special mechanic called "Rage Mode" activates. It makes the character stronger. And when Kazuya's percentage hits 100%, the Rage Mode from his home series should activate. The term "Rage" is already present within Smash (ever since Smash 4) anyways, so this shouldn't be a problem. In Smash, when your character hits 100%, they emmit steam. But, instead of Kazuya emitting steam, the Rage Mode effect from his home series activates, with him having the red glow (when you enter Rage Mode) from his home series as well. The sound when you enter Rage Mode in the Tekken series should also be present. Also, speaking of Rage, Kazuya has the special ability to turn into his devil form when he's in Rage Mode (this feature has been implemented ever since Tekken Tag Tournament 2). So, when Kazuya hits 100%, he should be granted the ability to turn into his devil form. In turn, this makes him more stronger. The downside, however, is that he loses some of his moves. This also happens in the Tekken series, ever since Tag 2, I'm certain. So yeah. Anyways, it's time for Tekken to shine. In Smash, this time.
21:56 Also....you're absolutely right. This SHOULD be Heihachi's ending theme. It fits him so well.
Oh shoot! Heihachi is actually in pacman's up taunt! I guess that means he won't be a playable character.
All joking aside, you are right about tekken representation in smash as of now. Actually, since tekken isn't in the game at all, not even as a spirit, I think that increases the chances of a tekken character being in smash.
@@rodrigomorales563 Yeah, and I agree....Kazuya Mishima should be the one to represent Tekken.

Not sure if I misunderstood you, but how would the "extended sidestep" even work?I mean it works in Tekken because tekken is in 3d and so its easy for heihachi to circle around his opponent, but imagine him circling around his opponent in smash, it'd look extremely off on certain stages and would easily look confusing on the battlefield.
Overall though I think you did a great job with the moveset even if I think that some of the gimmicks would need to be altered a bit.
If you want an idea of how it'd work, the sidestep animation would essentially just be lengthened and/or stretched out, leading to a longer ending animation.
???
why do you say "heihachises" when it should be just "heihachi's"

Strange stat a Bandai Namco game would not have Bandai Namco’s mascot. Very strange. Maybe when Tekken gets ported to the switch?
