- There are few characters in videogame history that carry a torch for being the single most broken thing in any game they're a part of. While Zero from Mega Man X might come close, the true king of this court is the motivated brother of Dante and perfect DLC attendee for any game he joins...Vergil from Devil May Cry.
Devil May Cry 3? Broken. Devil May Cry 4? Broken. Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3? Top 1 character. Devil May Cry 5? Both he and his theme song are top tier by miles and miles compared to the other characters. But what about the world of Smash Bros? Well, he'd probably be broken there too. Look out Brawl Meta Knight, you've got some competition on your hands now!

Vergil in Smash would be the one and only SSS Tier char.
He'd be as disgusting as he is in MVC3
If the next smash bros does happen in 4 or 5 years I would love Dante or Vergil in there it will be insane if that happens and my god his theme is just crazy!

Just a little thought I had while watching the end of this. What if during a 2v2 team battle where Dante and Vergil are together, they’ve got special victory scenes. Like the “Jackpot” scene from DMC 3 or the “don’t you dare say it!” Scene from 5
Oof that'd be lovely. Always wanted special victory animations. Even for characters that have nothing to do with each other, like sephiroth and vergil

(If you didn't know vergils speed is confirmed to be millions times faster than the speed of light allowing him to cut through time and space a lot of the time making it look like the air around him is shattering)
If Smash 6 came out, we will 100% see a DMC rep
This moveset is really well done, but I do have a few alternate suggestions. His up tilt could have a second down slash, similar to Upper Slash. For Drive, I'd make the move deal minimal damage (though give it some anti-projectile power), and instead add Overdrive when Drive is charged, to deal most of the damage. His back air, Demon Claws, could definitely use the DMC3 Aerial Rave animation, since that's very similar to what you described, and his up aerial can merely be the Roulette Spin part of Aerial Rave B (encouraging experimentation to know you can do it mid neutral air). Rising Star could be assigned to holding side special (assuming it hits an opponent), and then have up special be two separate moves, similar to Link's up special (and also to give Beowulf a bit more love). In the air, it's Rising Sun. On the ground, Kick 13 (which is stronger and leads into combos, but can be held into Rising Sun for knockback instead).
Awesome video. Would love for Dante and Vergil to join smash bros someday, specially with a moveset like this.
If both of them get added, the last round of Dante and Vergil's classic modes could be a reference to their final battle from DMC 3 or Dante's half of DMC 5's finale

There's a fourth wepaon Vergil uses. He also has that claymore from DMC 1. Not that I reckon he should use it in Smash, but it does exist.
I'm not sure if it would be part of Vergil's moveset due to him being Nelo Angelo in DMC 1

When you say that Vergil's doppelganger still moves around even when Vergil taunts, does that mean it doesn't have a special taunt animation like Joker's Arsene?

For his final smash I think if you have over 150% he will instantly kill you, like zelda's final smash.
Underrated video
Honestly Vergil seems to be the easier of Sparda's sons to create specials for, but I have to critique the way you designed this.
1: Miracle Blades seems way too complicated for what should honestly just be a replica of Megaman's Leaf Shield. Just have him summon the swords floating around him and have him be unable to run, then tapping the B button again should launch one blade at a time until there's no more spiral. The marking mechanic should still be a thing, but blistering blades could maybe just be a thing if you hold B after summoning Miracle Blades.
2: Judgement Cut being part of the neutral Special is unnecessary. Just make that the side B and have it also track opponents based on the marking mechanic, with it appearing a set distance from Vergil if used while noone is marked.
Might I suggest Magolor (Kirby) for a Character Concept.
