I honestly don’t think anyone in my school is a furry. I only heard one person talk about furries and it was while walking up the stairs and she said “I hope there are no furries” ;-; I hope there’s a closeted furry that comes out soon so I can be friends with them

I was a closeted furry in school, and my friends made fun of me when I first brought it up, so I stayed in my shell. I never met any open furries then, it took me years later, a few years ago, to find the local community in a roundabout way. Im 36 now, and am kinda jealous of those who are young and have friends they can relate to in this way. So, just search online for local fur groups. If they're arent any in your area, that doesn't mean there aren't any furs in your area, so find a big general one to join, and ask around from there!

Ah that sounds rough, I actually live in NJ too and I feel the same way about it 😅 I don’t have that many friends in the fandom really and it’s awkward to bring it up to other friends that I know in my town without them looking at me weirdly...
The first time I met up with my online friends we planned a meet up at a railroad museum! Some had their suits and some didn’t. It was really fun and that’s how I met some of my closest friends in the fandom! Great video!

Im brand new in the fandom and I’m trying to make furry friends! I’m on furry amino but I feel it’s getting no where and I get scared using the app because apparently art theft happens there a lot and I post my art there to possible get people interested in me. I wanna be friends with fellow artists so I can learn how to draw animals more and I just connect more with artists! On amino I made a post saying I was looking for friends and would love to make some but everyone just liked the post instead of commenting or messaging me (I offered my DMs and comments ^^)
I'm so sorry that no one was giving you any attention on furry Amino in my opinion furry Amino and just Amino in general isn't a good app to find friends because there is also a lot of predators on there I have a friend group full of young Furs just like me and they really like making art and making fursonas and helping you make fursonas they're all really good friends so all you have to do is download Google Hangouts and basically sign in

One time in a Furry Amino i participated, there was a trend where everyone picked a characther from the anime Boku No Hero Academia and pretended to be them, i picked up the villain Dabi and that was the perfect opportunity to make friends! I had so much fun and made so many new friends! The Furry Fandoom is truly the best
