I need to give VR another try. I love being social and making friends. But my social battery goes fast and I'm an anxious guy so it's hard to talk. Yeah.. 😂

I'm the same way, I stopped using it awhile ago, I'm tempting to try again tonight but I'm such a socially anxious and awkward person and i feel drained very fast, and if I don't and i get ignored i get really depressed. it's also hard for me to jump into conversations. I don't want to be annoying or a bother.. Also my gender in the fandom is rare, i know most don't care, but some do, and it's hard to find people like me.

No furries on vr chat will talk to me as a furry, some do but not much. Especially when they have pc vr they look down on me because I don’t have the same spending money as them, it gets me really annoyed.
One thing I would say is that you don’t need every furry to be your friend, you just need to find individuals you enjoy spending time with and like their personality, and not how much someone spends. Just keep searching for new furries with different personalities, you’ll find that you click with more people than you think

My question is: how can I make furry friends if I live in places that don’t have many furries? I live in rural Montana and I’m the only furry in the state that I’ve heard of.
Furry are actually pretty chill but the weird ones are weird but that like every community. There is definitely worse things that people wearing fur suits. Idk why some people make it a big deal.
1:15 christian furries are a niche within a niche and... Well to be honest its a 50/50 shot they actually hold to Jesus's teachings. At least in my experience. So hearing that they have specific events at cons for christian furries is... interesting.
I dont currently see myself ever attending one but knowing that might change that someday. I just... really really would not go out of my way for it right now.
4:05 ah yeah I went to that last furcon. Very interesting, nice to talk to new people. That good ol' VR chat socializing with strangers charm that you cant find too often anymore because public lobbies.
Maybe it's finally time for me to go out.

Believe me it does get easier, I had a panic attack my first few times doing VrChat until I went on with friends I had met on twitch. Now I’m calm enough to actually function! You’ll get there!

Phew! I was starting to worry that my wholesome channel was gonna be corrupt!
The downside to meetups is furries tend to stay around their friends and don't communicate with people they don't know.
This can be the case with some groups, hopefully whoever is the organiser can steer you in, or maybe try DMing the organiser before just letting them know it's your first time
