I would say a fairly large part of the fandom is into sexual stuff, I won't lie. I believe a poll done at some point said it was around 25%? But it's probably more than that, though it doesn't mean the fandom itself is inherently sexual.

Literally, I opened commissions and someone said my prices were too "high" when a headshot was for £10 if that included shading, and they would pay me £1.35 for a fully shaded headshot. I have two main fursonas, one is a dragon based off of a type of sever thunderstorm, his name is derecho. My other one is a weird creature I created that can handle a lot of radiation to the point where they are radioactive themselves. I named mine Thorium because science is cool.

When doing the artwork for my current Avatar, the artist made the mistake of his horn color which was supposed to be silver, however I chose to change my Avatar's horn color because I like the new color that she used. I don't know if she took it as mean-spirited criticism but in truth inspired me to change one of my character from Silver horns too a dark navy blue

love the video, the only thing I want to point out is that by denying criticism to your art, you are denying improvement. even if it’s the best thing you’ve ever drawn, you can always go up from there. that being said I absolutely love your art so I wouldn’t be able to criticize it anyways (sources: I’m an artist lmao)
The way I see it--not everyone *wants* to improve, or just want to improve at their own pace. Some people, even though they know the person is coming from a good place, have low self-esteem and feel bad when being given criticism no matter what, and I don't see why they should have to take it if they don't plan to take their art beyond hobbyist level. If you want to give someone criticism, just ask them first really

there’s a certain instagram account within the Warriors community. I saw some art and thought, wow! This looks amazing. Only to find it’s another repost account. In the comments I mentioned they should ask permission before reposting. I then was BOMBARDED with replies saying “they gave credit!” But still, if you repost the entirety of the lion king on UA-cam and link Disney’s socials in the description, it’s still illegal.

I agree with ya on don't ask for to lower prices. Literally, I opened commissions and someone said my prices were too "high" when a headshot was for £10 if that included shading, and they would pay me £1.35 for a fully shaded headshot. That just made me so annoyed that I told them straight how I felt about that, then they kinda had a tantrum saying my art was not even worth for that and they were being very "generous", some people nowadays I just wanna strangle xd

I have two main fursonas, one is a dragon based off of a type of sever thunderstorm, his name is derecho. My other one is a weird creature I created that can handle a lot of radiation to the point where they are radioactive themselves. I named mine Thorium because science is cool.
i think i might use a free to use base and than use that as a reference for my own ref sheet so it stays more accurate where everything is and because i might be using different base shapes

Ssoo,quick question. Say your at a Saturday market (if your in Salem Oregon) and there's a furry there selling furry art,but there prices are like 25-50 but their art is like,REALLY REALLY detail AND fully coloured,and you tell them how good their art is and that it really looks like it costs more than what the art piece your buying if for,so you give them a big-ish tip,say instead of 36$ you give them 68$ do to how much effort and time whent into it. Is that ok to do?

When doing the artwork for my current Avatar, the artist made the mistake of his horn color which was supposed to be silver, however I chose to change my Avatar's horn color because I like the new color that she used. I don't know if she took it as mean-spirited criticism but in truth inspired me to change one of my character from Silver horns too a dark navy blue

love the video, the only thing I want to point out is that by denying criticism to your art, you are denying improvement. even if it’s the best thing you’ve ever drawn, you can always go up from there. that being said I absolutely love your art so I wouldn’t be able to criticize it anyways

The way I see it--not everyone *wants* to improve, or just want to improve at their own pace. Some people, even though they know the person is coming from a good place, have low self-esteem and feel bad when being given criticism no matter what, and I don't see why they should have to take it if they don't plan to take their art beyond hobbyist level. If you want to give someone criticism, just ask them first really
Tendo64 you have a good point, I just suppose as a hobbyist myself I have very high standards for the things I do and I shouldn’t assume that everyone has the same aspirations as I me, thanks for helping me understand it better!!
@@MonarchMercury that's fine. I just know a few people who tend to not be helped by criticism, and instead feel worse about their art when getting it despite not necessarily thinking they're above criticism.

You can base yourself on your favorite animal, or an animal you really like ! You can also go for hybrids, or even original species !
