Where’s Pt2?
Hello! Alot of updates coming in the next couple of days! Keep an eye out.
Some advice because you made the investment, throw out the blasting gun and get pressurized pot blaster from Harbor freight the 20lb one for that small cabinet . And you won’t regret it , just make sure you hookup a good vacuum.
GARAJE BUILT appreciate you advice!
It’s what I use man and I’ll tell you something don’t feed into buying stuff from the Tacoma company and what not. I wish I would’ve gotten this from the beginning.
Once sandblasted, can I start painting or is there other prep work needed before that? Thanks!
After blasting all i did before coating them was cleaning off all the left over sand with pressurized air or brake clean.
@@miguellechuga3338 I purchased remanufactured brake calipers from a store and I'm trying to paint them. So, do I need to sand them down with sandpaper and perhaps a wire wheel or do they already come sandblasted?? Thanks
It depends on what sort of paint you are applying to the part. Usually heat resistant stuff is alright after a couple of coats without a primer - but again, another thing to bare in mind is where the part is and what it is exposed so. Primer helps show defects in parts and provides a better surface for the paint to stick to (typically) but for things like brakes, as long as a few generous coats of the paint are applied it really doesn't matter to be honest. I know you asked the question 9 months ago but I figure the information may be useful to consider if you haven't been told already. But a heads up - usually new replacement parts like brake calipers are simply just cast parts unless they are higher end parts where they may have a slightly nicer finish but standard, new parts don't really need any prep if you want to paint them. Just remember to use a de-greaser like brake cleaner prior to painting them.
Music is so load and annoying. It would of been better if no music.
Noted. Thanks for the feedback!
Good shit
