Still a rebound. Even if it was with a "friend" that she had on the back burner for some time. If she immediately went into another relationship without grieving or processing the last one.. Your ex just didn't want to be alone when she broke up with you. It's usually less about the replacer and more about the one being replaced. Yes. It just may last longer because there's more history with the person but the toxic traits of it being a rebound will eventually eclipse the bond they have, and problems will start to arise.
