There is no way to know if there is a genuine connection real or fake . People can go into a relationship as a rebound to get over someone and fall in love this question has so many variables . Anything can happen
I have seen rebounds last and turn to a full-blown relationship, then one of them cheated with their ex! Like they say, KARMA!

My ex was abusive and probably had Borderline personality disorder with all of the horrible behaviours that come with it. Moved on in a week and 6 months into a ‘serious’ relationship. She is a very troubled person but seems to be genuinely trying to make it work from definitively a rebound into something more long term. I wish she tried harder to make it work with me but I don’t deserve the way she treated me. It probably won’t work out but if it does I’d be surprised cause she must have found someone equally an a$$$hole or a push over.

Ex jumped into rebound with family friend after 4 yr relationship. This guy has nothing but red flags. Never moved out of parents home and is 31. Among many other red flags. Complete loser. She has been with him now for 3 months. Unreal

My ex started dating a girl from high school who had a big crush on him. She became more in his life (they hadn't talked from 2010-2021) and didn't include me in things they were doing, as she always seemed to plan activities that didn't fit into my schedule. He was blinded that she liked him, and she wanted to support a friend going through a hard time. I warned him that this girl is ignoring that you have a girlfriend and she's trying to win you over. I don't really know what happened but after last summer his communication to me became limited with me, and she popped up in his texts all the time. It didn't make sense because for 2ish years before that I knew he saw her as a sister.He treated me so incredibly well and was so loyal to me for the 3 years we were together up until this situation. Did she manipulate him? I understand we weren't meant to be forever, but I really loved him as a person and a friend. I thought he would be in my life forever.
I broke up with my ex cause he wanted to marry me for pregnant and not because he loved me, but I want to have a relationship with him now. It’s been 5 months and he’s already dating how can I know if it’s a rebound or not since we have to stay in contact for the kid anyway. he had been friends with girl and was talking to her “as just friends” throughout our relationship.
My girl of 3.5 years dumped me 25 days ago. She was very upset about that and cried really much. The reason was 'im not feeling it anymore'. Her sis says she said 'we're not that close anymore' in april. And after a few days, i found out that she's with a new guy that complete opposite of me. She knows that guy for 4 5 months, and he knows about our relationship. (maybe an orbiter). I think the main reason that she's with him is, his attention to her. I was lacking that attention that caused her feelings go away, at least she said that. He really is complete opposite of me. I can say that if we were in our routine times, and she saw that guy in a group of friends, she would not like him. Not in person, but his habits would not be okey for her, like talking too much. They're going out every night, she's posting stories with him/places they go constantly, met up with their families. This can be count as rebound, because they were knowing each other? Or because for months she's thinking about break up, she already griefed and cant be a rebound? And she looks very obsessed with that guy. And also, we had a break up mid of july because of the same reason, but we talked and continued after, and most of the things were normal. Whats the chance thats a rebound? Still a rebound. Even if it was with a "friend" that she had on the back burner for some time. If she immediately went into another relationship without grieving or processing the last one.. Your ex just didn't want to be alone when she broke up with you. It's usually less about the replacer and more about the one being replaced. She had issues with you, wanted out but didn't want to be alone.
My ex left to London with someone after less than a month of being together and is moving in. She has three kids with three different guys and has custody of none of them. Always told me he never wanted to be with someone with kids and someone with multiple baby daddies are disgusting. I guess she’s a model and bar tender. She’s super attractive and he says she’s perfect and happiest he’s ever been. Would you consider that rebound? He broke up with me due to my insecurity issues so part of me feels it is a genuine relationship. We broke up but were still hooking up then she decides to be with her and drops me but texts me everyday. I just cannot tell.

My ex and i broke up about one and half month, the reason is she doesn't 'feel the spark' no more. Recently she were in new relationship which i know that person were already there while I'm with my ex. The last time i meet her she said she would like to try to be in the relationship with that guy and see how far it will go. I saw her insta story when they were having a date and she seems so happy with her new relationship. I just wondering is it a real deal relationship or just a rebound relationship. I genuinely confused and i also genuinely in pain to see that happening. Could you help me out or someone could you help me.

Yes. It just may last longer because there's more history with the person but the toxic traits of it being a rebound will eventually eclipse the bond they have, and problems will start to arise. Slowly but surely, it will begin to fall apart like a house of cards. It's the nature of an accelerated relationship that dooms the fools that partake. You cannot fast-track human love in any authentic and lasting way. You can create passion, lust, even a distorted form of intimacy but this is like a firework-It's bright, colorful and dazzling while burning but always dies out in the end.
Great video, so my ex just out of the blue stopped talking to me like 2 weeks ago. Long story short. Her and I were together for four years plus and I left her because her baby daddy was a psycho and I didn't want to catch a felony case! So the next morning I walked out and said I'm sorry but I can't do this anymore, handed her house key and left. I regret everyday for leaving her. We started talking like 2 or 3 months later than now all of a sudden, nothing. We were always very close and she said she's busy because of her work, child and taking care of her mom. It also depends, Alex. If your ex had not fully move on from the past relationship and is not 100% emotionally available, then it could be a rebound. But if she had healed and have moved forward, then it may not be a rebound at all.
My ex is now in a relationship (not even after 6 months after the break up, it must been going on for at least 3 months) with an EX from his best friends (they broke up at the same time). Which is... very, very upsetting, because he always said he would never do that! In addition.. he liked her not very much, didn't talk about her at all and if, then it wasn't very positiv (things like, she's annoying, she's psychotic, she's even more annoying if she's drunk).
What does that mean? She's not even physical his type... i'm very confused. But he says he's over me and at the same time he says, he will never love someone as much as me :D
