Traci your quilt is fabulous. I'm a quilter, knitter, crocheter, clothes and home dec sewist. Isn't working with fiber the greatest no matter what the type. Love all your podcasts. I found you in January 2018 when my granddaughter was home from school on day. I had been watching many quilt videos trying to keep her from watching crap and I stumbled upon the "Off your needles" series first. Watched all of those and your Grocery Girl podcasts. You brought me back to knitting. I'm a very guilty person, I always feel like if I'm not working on something productive I'm wasting time. I also do Long Arm Quilting for other quilters and was in a place of overload with quilts. So watching you, my little mind said knit something. Set in you chair watch tv and knit. So now a better balance for me, quilts and now knitting mittens and Christmas Balls for all seven of my grandchildren. Since January I have finished a sweater, four shawls, seven Christmas Balls and now working on mittens. I just brought a bucket tote from Jodi. Happy Crafting, Nina. You can find some of my stuff on Facebook, Cramer Creations
OMG; Tracie you made an amazing quilt. I just love the colours. Jodie is very lucky to have you for a sister. And the reverse is true as those PJ’s are truly special/one of a kind. It is so nice to see you spoil each other and kind of you to share your generous spirits and caring nature.
I love the birthday gifts that you gave to each other! I am an avid quilter for many years. Love love love the quilt you made for Jodi. Our hobbies cost us a lot but we love them. I wish I could buy so many of the products you show. See you in the next video
Thanks for another super fun podcast ladies. I have no one in my world that knits. I’ve tried to convince my sister so we can be awesome like you but she’s not havin it. So “spending time” with you and watching you chat makes my heart happy. Love watching you just be you! Keep crushin it ;)
Just arrived in Vancouver. Start 6 weeks holiday. Ian nearly drove off road when I squealed seeing Tim Horton’s. Light festival on , like a madhouse outside. Great Hotel centre city. Love you girls and hope to meet lots of friends in Canada. Hugs WAH.x
We’ve ridden our tandem in Tuscany, and it was the BEST experience ....we had amazing views, and quiet roads....and gelato in every little hilltop town!
You did such an amazing job on your first quilt! And it’s perfect because you made it! Fun fact, none of my quilts are absolutely perfect but that’s what makes them special and handmade 🤗💕
Erica Arndt Thank You Erica! The fact the quilt isn’t perfect didn’t even bother me. I love the handmade quality. Overall, I’m so so pleased with it. I’m not kidding....I watched EVERY ONE of your Quilting 101 series. It was so helpful. Thanks a million! 😁👌🏼✨✨✨✨✨
Same message as Knit3Together. 12:30am and I can't turn you off. Love your podcasts and missed you while you were on your break. So wonderful to see how close sisters can be.
You two always make me feel better, no matter how I'm feeling. Thank you! Jodi - to help choose colors, consider taking a black and white picture of all your yarn colors together and then see how different their tones are. It's nice to see colors that way, because the tonal contrasts shown in gradients of black and white can help you determine how they will will vary from one another. Someone taught me that once!
So glad your back, love the podcast. Jodi, I received the bee bag kit, I’m in love 😍. My 60th Birthday was in July and I received gifts from my friends and family, 5 of which were yarn, all different, all beautiful! Best gifts ever❤️
I’ve been doing Row One Yarns too for about 6-8 months. I too am doing a scrappy blanket using them. I did Magic Knot to make a giant ball so no ends to weave in. Try it Jodi-it works great. Holding double sock yarn. Great show ladies!! Keep up the awesome podcast-love it!!
Lover your quilt Tracie, you did a great job !! I'm a quilter 1st - I've made lots of quilts and bags and my 2nd love is knitting, so when I want to sit and watch TV or all the pod casts, I knit. Love creating !!!! Love your Bags Jodi.
I missed you two! loved all the yarns and bags! and SQWEEEEE!! Tracie you did a fantastic job on that quilt! As an avid quilter too, we have a saying that if you cant see anything wrong while riding by on a horse (bike ,lol) there are no mistakes ;) it looks lovely and I bet the minky makes it sooo soft and cuddly.
Oh man! I was so excited to see you guys back here! It's been a dry summer for podcasts! Thanks for telling us about some new knitting podcasters. A lot of the ones that I've watched aren't podcasting anymore or they are so infrequent, it's like once in 4 months. Wow, the yarns you guys have found are gorgeous. Makes me want to knit all the things! I just now, finally got one of your pins! Can't wait for it to get here and get it on my knitting bag. The night sweats issue. I'm 65 and I've learned I have less of them if I don't eat sugary things at night. But I also do the blanket wave at night! Blanket off, blanket on. Irritating, I know. Wonderful birthday gifts to each other. You love each other so much, and it shows through on the podcast. Blessing to you both and see you on your next podcast!
OMG...you guys talking about your bikes brought me right back to my childhood bike days...my plum colored stingray bike with a banana seat with a sissy bar, rubber hand grips with streamers in the ends of the handle bars, chrome fenders....wash and “waxing” with liquid turtle wax.....clothes pinning playing cards to the spokes to sound fast..... That was my whole childhood in a nutshell...... Thanks ladies for bringing that fun, fun memory back to me!
You two are so freaking fabulous I can barely stand it. I don’t have any sisters, and you two make me feel like I have a couple !❤️ Between the quilt, the pajamas, and the chat about the wedding...I was in tears. Thanks for always sharing the true YOU. Looking forward to the next time! P. S. Not a month next time, okay? We miss you! 😜
You guys are too funny. I love ALL of your yarn acquisitions and works in progress! I need to track down that striped triangle shawl pattern and make one immediately.
Tracie, I love that you learned to quilt and made one for Jodi and Jodi love the pj top that you made for Tracie. You girls just crack me up. I love watching your show.
I have missed you guys! Traci, you do need a room. Converting one of our guest rooms into my office/knitting room (sanctuary) is one of the best things I’ve ever done! Well actually Scott did it for me. I love it so much!
“Zip your lip” and “just be nice” should be your motto! So many mean things are said on social media these days and it’s a pleasure to hear you ladies just supporting and saying only nice things about other people. 🤗💕
Oh my goodness I am so glad to see a knitter forget to do there increase in the right spot. I was doing a shawl while traveling and totally forgot to increase in the right spot. THANK YOU FOR BEING REAL!! Lol this episode has been one of my favorites. Refreshing and so fun always! 🤗
It resonated with me when you were talking about how infrequent family holidays are when your children get older. In less than 2 weeks I'm getting married and we are going on honeymoon with my adult kids! Mainly because 3 out of the 4 live overseas and it will be wonderful to spend time with them all in one space!
I love how genuinely excited Jodi gets over the yarn. lol Truly a kid in a candy store. I've got a huge amount of Plucky in my Stash so I'm going to check out that shawl pattern. And I'm with you Tracie...I want a crewneck sweater to wear as my favorite top like a sweat shirt all winter.
I love your podcasts! Missed you. My daughter & I saw Rhichard in Illinois at Stitches Midwest. Bought fun drink shawls that he showed on your recent podcast! What a nice guy! Thanks for the introduction!! A. W.
you two are so much fun! I received my 'wanna double' from Hue Loco days ago and waited to open it during your podcast .... I was like 'where are those gals, already!?' ... anyway, it's so gorgeous!! thank you for sharing your childhood memories with everyone. I have shelved knitting socks, I keep trying and finally concluded that socks simply aren't my jam, no worries ... I love knitting shawls, hats, scarves and blankets, etc. Happy Knitting Ladies!!
Hey Ladies! Watch yous all the time.Always looking for your new video. The 3 combo yarns shown at the end, just lovely. Match Perfectly. All the notions and bags, great. Jody, I want the bucket kit. Went to your page and didn't see a selection. About a week ago I went there. Hope I can find something I'll love cause I'm picky. I know I want a bucket set. Maybe if I go there now you'll have added more? So, Thank you Ladies.
Born in St Thomas, spent lots of time in Port Stanley, Mackie’s yummy, grew up in Lambeth, got married & moved to Grand Bend & all my family lives in London!! Now live in Vancouver.
🤗🤗🤗 when I saw the GG's are back I put a load of washing on, breadmaker on, saw hubby off to work and jumped back into bed to knit and watch you guys. So much happy! Thankyou 😍 and yeah, hot flushes are pits. I stay away from food/drinks that make them worse, have tried numerous supplements although I can't remember which ones helped now but these days, I have pretty folding fans in every room at the ready and a battery small fan next to the bed. Sigh......
Thank you for sharing your bump mistake, makes a less experienced knitter feel less bad about making the same mistake this week. I had ripped back to my life line because of a bigger error and then proceeded to put my project back on the needles backwards and i had an identical bump to yours appear.! And yes, this feels like a hotter than usual Edmonton summer, I wish we could bottle it and open in January!
Can I just say how much I appreciate the fact that you two talk about the negativity and nastiness that goes on, on, social media. I am tired of seeing "keyboard warriors" being nasty, insulting and hurtful to people for no reason. There is a big difference between constructive criticism and just plain nastiness. I think a lot of people who do and say these insensitive and mean spirited things, are either miserable (because we all know misery loves company) or just so unhappy in their own lives that instead of seeking help and/or trying to better themselves, to make themselves feel better, they take out their own insecurities to people that they are jealous of, or doing better then they are. I really think that if more people would put that energy into being more positive, that the world would be a happier place for everyone. It's like nobody remembers the saying "If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all". Social Media is such a great and amazing tool to connect people from all over the world, and share art, culture, knowledge, beliefs etc. But it is also a dark and hurtful place because people hide behind their computer/phone screens and just be so so so negative and nasty with no repercussions for their actions. And what makes it even worse, is that if you were to meet them in person, they would never have the gall to say these things to your face. I am sorry for such a long comment, but this is an issue (especially now, that I am a mother to a little girl) that really upsets me and I wish we can change it. But, you cannot force people to change their actions or behaviors, they have to be the ones to do so. One last thing I want to say. These people to not understand just how much their hurtful comments can effect a person. They never know what is truly going on and all the nastiness can really break a person down and push them over the edge. It has to stop, but how, as a community, can we make it stop? People need to start having more respect and understanding for other people in this world. Rant over.
Hi! Jodi, I love your crochet blanket! 💕. I’m crocheting one too!! Happy crochet! For me 10 grams is a row of fingering weight yarn on a 3.25mm hook. I’m actually using full skeins, hey, why not! 😆😘
I almost got kicked out of bed watching this podcast. There were so many funny parts and I was trying to watch while my husband was trying to sleep. When I saw the little hats (emphasis on little) for the baby girls, I burst out laughing and then realized I was supposed to be quiet. So I was laughing quietly but shaking the bed. The other moment for me was when the viewer question was regarding your hair color... LOL Jodi!
Yes I agree with the ladies below. If I can do a crochet foundation (sc, hdc or dc) rather than working in chains, I totally do it. Saves a lot of frustration and looks nice and smooth.
Love Louise Penny Inspector Gamache Series. They all take place in Ontario. Love love the author. I live in an Amish community. Our home is surrounded by four Amish fields.
I was so happy to see you all again!! I have been rewatching some of your old ones to tide me over! I am taking a menopause supplement by Biotics Research. It is BioPause-AM (Magnesium, Black Cohosh, Passion flower, Lemon balm) and BioPause PM (rhodiola extract, black cohosh, motherwort, chaste tree). I go to a holistic wellness center for Lyme disease and Lupus. I was having terrible hot flashes and they put me on these. Have not had anymore in over a week!
omg I love Linda Castillo's books!!!! When the new one came out I decided to start the series from the beginning, so I haven't read the new one yet. I will check out your other recommendations. You guys should try Maggie Sefton and Sally Goldenbaum. They both write mysteries that are solved by knitting friends. I really love the Sally Goldenbaum series. It takes place in a beach town in Massachusetts, and since I live in a beach town in Maryland I really enjoy that. I almost cried when I finished the series because I enjoyed them so much. You guys make the most gorgeous shawls. I love your color choices. That's what I'm not good at. I always have to copy the colors I see on the project page. Jodi, those baby hats are so adorable! It's a shame they were too small. You guys do so much knitting! I must be really slow. I've been getting the Row One Yarn minis ever since the first time you mentioned them. I've been making a coziest memories blanket using them, and I'm also making a granny square blanket where I use the smaller minis. I can't tell you how glad I am that you mentioned it. I haven't knit enough to have leftovers to use in my blankets, so I'm just thrilled to get this little bag every month. Thank you! Love seeing you again! Please come back soon.
I just love you two. You are so positive and joyful. Here in the US everything is negative and political. It’s such a blessing to just tune out and have fun during the podcast. I love that Jodi always has a nice compliment for others bags. Tracie love the quilt and rocking those pjs. Thanks
Hi Girls, I was listening to your hot flash problem and I have to tell you get some Evening Primrose from your health food store or pharmacy. It saved my marriage, I was becoming so bitchy with the hot flashes. I can laugh about it now but at the time it wasn't so funny. Try it it works.
Great podcast one of my favs. Love the gorgeous quilt you did a great job. Yarn ink love the yarn. I have to say valley yarn and 87 stitches are my local shops I feel so lucky I am spoilt for choice. The baby hat Jodi soooooo cute. Please reknit them and show a picture. Thanks for sharing. BrambleKnits 🇨🇦
My grandson was born 6/weeks early on July 8. Those little hats would have totally fit him. The neonatal intensive care used all kinds of them on the preemies and were looking for more. The NICU at. your local hospital would be grateful if you donated them (probably without the pompous tho).
Oh you guys! I have missed your podcasts so much. I love Jodi ‘s hack of Joji’s shawl. In fact I may cast it on tomorrow and do a similar hack. Traci - I saw the pic of the bag you made on Instagram. I may make it myself. But it also caused me to look her up and then watch her podcast. It was a hit. Y’all are so inspiring. I already wanted to make all the things. Now I’m really in trouble. 😳😊😳😊😳😊
I hear you on the menopause thing, it sucks rocks! But I have found that estrovan works great and it 's not hormone based. It's soy based! Works awesome for me! My husband is so happy when I wasn't freezing his juavos off in the winter, cause I would turn on the air conditoner.
Guys ive had my grandaughter come over from missouri US to the homeland (Scotland)for 6 weeks she went home last wed and i,ve been so down, but seeing you were back on podcast has just cheered me up no end,my dream would be to just get together with you guys and just knit and chat for a wee while
Tracie check out "The daily sweater" pattern by mason dixon knitting - Kay Gardiner and Ann Shayne. Worsted weight, Top down, sweatshirt style, split hem, and the little sweatshirt triangle at the front top.
Black Cohosh :) Takes a few weeks to really kick in, but it'll help with your menopause issues. If you can't find black, blue will work also! Also, a few drops of peppermint oil in water and a spray bottle and spray it on the back of your neck and down your arms and chest. Instant body cool.
I set my freaking bed on fire then sweating non stop. I will wake up and tear off my PJ’s. My husband is like "what are you doing?" lol Love your podcasts! Crack me up!
Traci your quilt is fabulous. I'm a quilter, knitter, crocheter, clothes and home dec sewist. Isn't working with fiber the greatest no matter what the type. Love all your podcasts. OMG; Tracie you made an amazing quilt. I just love the colours. Jodie is very lucky to have you for a sister. And the reverse is true as those PJ’s are truly special/one of a kind. It is so nice to see you spoil each other and kind of you to share your generous spirits and caring nature.
So much pretty yarn! Thanks for introducing us to so many fabulous dyers.
I love your nails, Jodi! And those PJs, Tracie. And of course everything about the podcast. Always brightens up my day xx

I just love watching ya'll! I am learning to knit and you both are fun and inspiring to me! Thank you! Marian
Tracie!! Your sewing is amazing!!! Thanks for keeping me company!!
Tracie the quilt is just beautiful!! No one would ever criticize your quilt. Jodie is very lucky. All your yarn is scrumptious!!!
Hugs WAH.x

G'day from Austrailia. First time watcher and I bloody love you both. Keeping it real ladies. I'll be back :) x
Jules 👋🏻👋🏻😁 we bloody love you too! See you soon.
You should knit the babies a hat to match the older sister. BUT give the too tiny hats to them on a baby doll!
OMG to !I've just listened to all Linda's audio books! they are awesome!!
I’ve knit the Tin Can Knits bonnet twice and I LOVE that pattern. It is really adorable on a baby.
I had a green sparkly banana seat bike when I was young. LOVED that bike!

Love, love, love your shirt, Tracie!
We wore fine knit cardigans backwards (with buttons in the back ) in the 1950's. ... with our wool skirts and bobby socks!
I missed you guys! I couldn’t watch live, but here I am. Love the PJs
Happy to see you and happy that you have had a great summer, but you were missed!
Working on a Galiano Sock while watching! Love you girls!
Alison Higginson ♥️♥️♥️
Such a nice pattern! Using sweet Georgia for cuffs and toes and hedgehog fibre for the body. Loving them!!!
Lovely to catch up with you ladies again!
Love Louise Penny Inspector Gamache Series. They all take place in Ontario. Love love the author. I live in an Amish community. Our home is surrounded by four Amish fields.
Great podcast ladies!!!!! Thanks from Stuttgart soon to be NW Montana!!
Happy knitty birthday to you both!

Those PJ’s! Awesomesauce! And now back to watching the rest of this episode :)
I never watched your podcast before but now I am hooked
Really enjoy the podcast! But could you turn up the volume please! I've done everything I know to do on my computer to no avail. Please help.
omg I love Linda Castillo's books!!!!
I love Maggie Sefton. I will check out Sally Goldenbaum. There is also a couple by Kate Jacobs.
Cindy Mccourt I will check her out, thanks.
I just love you two. You are so positive and joyful. Here in the US everything is negative and political. It’s such a blessing to just tune out and have fun during the podcast. I love that Jodi always has a nice compliment for others bags. Tracie love the quilt and rocking those pjs. Thanks
i love all the sock club yarns so far. However, as a veterinarian i cannot wait for Cat Nanny and the story that goes with it
Keep a remote controlled fan in your bedroom. Works great. Just sleep with the remote in your hand, or closer by. ☺️
Tracie - I just finished the Washed it shawl recently -I ran out of the 3rd colour so I started my final colour early like you are talking about 😊
OMG I need to knit that Boardwalk backwards for my two little great nieces I even have the yarn!!
It always makes my day to see you ladies!!! Mwah!
Suburban Stitcher 💋💋😁 hey there, girlfriend!!
Love you ladies! Glad your back.
My grandson was born 6/weeks early on July 8. Those little hats would have totally fit him. The neonatal intensive care used all kinds of them on the preemies and were looking for more. The NICU at. your local hospital would be grateful if you donated them (probably without the pompous tho).
88 stitches sounds a lot like A Twist of Yarn in Vernon, BC. If you are ever in the Okanagan I recommend that you that go there.
Jodi. Do you think I could use a Lionbrand bulky or another commercial yarn to knit thr Easy One bulky? This would be my first sweater. Thnx.
Cozy clothes are the best! I’m 61..don’t hate me but I don’t even know what a hot flash feels like! How lucky am I?
Oh you guys! I have missed your podcasts so much. I love Jodi ‘s hack of Joji’s shawl. In fact I may cast it on tomorrow and do a similar hack. Traci - I saw the pic of the bag you made on Instagram. I may make it myself. But it also caused me to look her up and then watch her podcast. It was a hit. Y’all are so inspiring. I already wanted to make all the things. Now I’m really in trouble. 😳😊😳😊😳😊
Where to get the sock blockers? Those are amazing! Also I need to know if it's a buy now or save- up- for- Christmas type of budget
Missed youuuuuuu, wow that shirt! Jodi love your hair!
Tracy try peppermint oil on your pulse points before you go to sleep. It helps me a little with the night sweats.
I'm bisoxual, I like both and will do either toe up or top down, as long as the pattern interests me. 😀
alex caskey love it!! I have to use that! BiSOXual!!!
Have you heard of foundationless double crochet? I think it is a much better (easier) way to start any non-circular crochet than a chain.
bunniphish I know it as double crochet foundation stitch. It is a total sanity saver on afghans.
I hear you on the menopause thing, it sucks rocks! But I have found that estrovan works great and it 's not hormone based. It's soy based! Works awesome for me! My husband is so happy when I wasn't freezing his juavos off in the winter, cause I would turn on the air conditoner.
Wow your work is awesome love the quilt
Try JD Robb - The In Death Series. If you enjoy romance and mystery. Love your show! I watch your podcast and knit a long. :)
My husband knows better to even ask.
Love your pjs. Jodi needs to make a line of pajamas 😊. Would love. Traci, love your new sock pattern.
Please sell this fabric in your etsy store. I will want 3 yards!!
