I love your podcast. You both are funny and generous. Anytime you share about yarns, patterns, etc. it is such a boost for small business owners. Love your new sock pattern. Can't wait. take care
You girls are such an inspiration to sisterhood and the wonderful fibre community, which seems to know, no boundaries, no race, no religious, no gender not political boundaries, it is all inclusive. I am an Aussie have just uploaded my first attempt at a podcast. A little presumptuous that you'd, A read this and B have the time or inclination, anyway it's called yarn over knit chat. Adore you both equally ❤
Recently discovered the Grocery Girls and have been binge watching the last 2 weeks, alternating between old & new podcasts. Love sitting down with you to knit! Just cast on a couple of days ago for the Canada KAL (I'm in Toronto). I also just purchased 2 Mrs. Brown's Bags & the August K2tog (my birthday is in August, so it is my gift to myself). Heading to NS for vacation in a week, so planning out my take-a-long projects. Thank you for all the great tips on indie dyers and fantastic patterns, so inspirational! Love you gals!
I'd like to tell you ladies that you changed my knitting life and style. You inspired me to knit sweaters and be unafraid to plunge into it when you did the Zadie knit along with Craftsy. Since then i have knit the zweig, two flaxes, Bristol Ivey's Tea leaf sweater, Comort fade cardi, Laura Nelikins Cotton T knit along (2) and a grandpa oversized cardi. working on a linen t shirt made with quince and co sparrow, the pattern is Camelia. Any knitters out there that are afraid to knit a sweater-just do it. you will be so happy you did
Preach, sister!! Wow....your enthusiasm shines through in this comment. Its such a thrill to knit a sweater that fits, right? We have figured that out too, and sweaters and cardigans are our fave things to knit. There are tons of very simple, beginner friendly patterns on Ravelry that are a fabulous starting point. Congratulations on all of your beautiful sweaters!! :D
You girls know so much about yarns. I'm a newbie in all this knitting world. I just don't know much about what yarns are good for what. I've been knitting for over 50 years and have just got into knitting sweaters. Just subscribed. I did the knit along scarf for my 90 year old mom's birthday.
Congrats to your daughter, Jodi, on her graduation. Best wishes to your son, Tracie. So exciting! Your sweaters are gorgeous! You guys must knit so fast, you can knit a sweater in the time it takes me to knit a pair of socks. I will be 60 years old on the 16th (yay for July birthdays), and I'm finally able to sleep without sweating to death and don't get hot flashes anymore. It's been such a long process for me. The night sweats started in 1992, and the hot flashes in 2006. It's almost worth being old lol.
Happy dance time!!! Love seeing you ladies and thank you so much for sharing. I received my K2TOG and love the yarn and the little wooden gauge thingy ( my shipment comes in a couple of days cause I live in Colorado not far from Hue Loco😊) I can't wait to get August. I love the sweaters you all have knitted, I was on the fence with both patterns but hearing you say how fun they knitted/knitting up I am off to get purchase them both. And Congratulations to the both of you ladies for all your families exciting news. Tracie have a Happy Brithday on Friday!!!

Having fun learning about knitting and enjoying meeting all the new friends I am making even at my age. ps this picture is me 20 years ago.
Coffee Talk sock pattern is perfect! As soon as I saw the reverse stockinette detail I was like, "yaaaaaas!" I would love to test knit if you need someone. I'm sure you won't but still, I had to comment on how much I love it. The name, the simple texture, the colors you chose, the EVERYTHING! I can see them as fingerless mitts too....wink, wink. I can't even!!!!
GOOD LUCK, JACKSON. I am a mother of a Los Angeles County Firefighter/Paramedic who also had 2 torus in Iraq as a front-line combat medic (82nd Airborne). Happy Birthday! Our kids are our hearts! Congrats to your daughter Jodi on her graduation and Tracie on your son's test! Seems like he has worked so hard for so long. I wish him the best! I can't watch the rest of this right now but I will be back later to watch it! I can't wait!
I so enjoyed watching your podcast today as I am sitting with my sock knitting on my campsite in Marquette, Michigan! It was so funny when you were showing your Shibui yarn because this week I found 3 brand new skeins on Shibui Silk Cloud in the same fog colorway in a thriftshop for only $6 per skein! I skipped the fireworks tonight and spent some “me time” with the Grocery Girls and my knitting! Hubby and son can fight the crowds and the heat while I’m cool as a cucumber working on my Tegna sweater !
You guys are SOOO funny. Only a knitter would say "squish the baby" as if it were a hank of yarn. HAHAHAYou too are the best. I have all the K2TOG yarn so far and am looking forward to cranking out those sock on my machine - you guys need one!
Love the excitement you gals create. I'm having trouble hearing you ... my iPad sound is all the way up and I do have trouble hearing you ... and it's been that way for some time. Yours is the only video podcast where I have the sound full up. I know others have commented as well.
Thanks for the great catch-up episode. Congrats on “60” and Happy Birthday Tracie (same day as my Mum!)! I have a sample to knit for Nicole in July, but would love a shot at your new sock design when you’re ready. I have some yarn set aside for Christmas Socks for my daughter that would be perfect. Cheers & “see” you in a few weeks.
I think it's a rule or should be, anyone suffering hot flashes from menopause can drop F bombs all they want. Shibui Yarns are wonderful, love that sweater.
Absolutely loved spending time with you both... enjoyed each moment everything you showed was beautiful. Thank you for sharing your time being yourselves and making me laugh so much!
TRACIEEE!!!! I am knitting Birds of a Feather in Film Noir!! It's probably my favorite colorway ever! Am using it in the mohair as well....GORGEOUS!! 👯♀️

If you like the mini interchangeable, another company does make them. Dyakcraft, a family run Vermont company, has 1.75” Heavy Metal interchangeable needles in size US0-3.
Jodi! I died laughing when you said you ate things that you weren’t necessarily supposed to. I use to eat money when I was little and I also ate carpet padding. The smell of a diesel dump truck, that’s what it tasted like. It was delicious! LOL
Hi, your sweaters are beautiful And the July colors for your sock club. Awesome. I missed it for july. 🙁 And that lovely Grocery Girl gauge would go so well in your etsy shop. (hint, hint) 😉😉😉😉🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Any idea when we'll be seeing your Hamilton in Cashmerino Rose Gold? Would also love to know exactly how much yarn you used on it...I bought 6 skeins first, THEN saw your Hamilton pattern choice, THEN realized my 1200 yards might not be enough. I know its too late to even try for even a close dye lot. Any suggestions where/how I might skimp to make my 1200 yards work? You and I are about the same size, I think.
So happy to see your podcast on a holiday so I can watch you guys instead of working!!! One minor comment, x-nay the mic. I got horribly startled 😯 every time the needles hit the mic. Anyway, the sound is just as good without it. If you still decide to use it, just be careful not to hit it.
I just started watching you and love the information about patterns and yarn you talk about. I’ve used ChiaoGoo needles for a couple of years. They’re the best. Also, I loved the sock pattern Tracy was knitting. When will the pattern be written and where will I find it? Ravelry?
Happy Birthday Tracie on Friday :) Wow, I love your sock patterns, this new one Coffee Talk is also fantastic. I would love to test knit for you anytime, and for Jodie too. Love her hats. Happy birthday Tracie! This Friday is my birthday as well! Hope you have a great day! Jodi extra sympathy here for hot flashes, but have to say you look great during a hot flash because when I have a hot flash I go all beet red and start dripping sweat off the tip of my nose and down my back.
