Good Evening! Thank you for dropping in for a visit at my work bench! Please watch until the end of the video for a big thank you SURPRISE!! Give me some ideas of how I should do this! I am so excited!! I had a busy day today at the bench. I filmed a chainsaw repair fail! :( Please SUBSCRIBE and Like! I'm off to grab a fresh coffee and some dinner! See you all tomorrow with a juicy and long video!!
Ayyyye, I just caught the end. That's cool, but don't pick me, because I have a 590 already, and I just put a new carb, bar and full skip chain on her....she runs better than she has in a long time, but either the bar or chain are suuuper sticky-- and no 😅 it isn't over tensioned, and yes they are spec matched...supposedly. I tried adding a bit while the chain is on the bar, but I'm gonna pre-oil the chain really well.....after I try spraying the guides with pb blaster 😂
I know a guy that needs a saw. Remember the kid with a "runs great" "ran when parked" but actually really dead Husqvarna a few episodes back? I hear he is in the market for a saw that actually runs.
Man echos are so underrated. They’re old school, no mtronic or auto tune, they are typically heavier but man they are built like tanks. Stihl has em beat on cutting speed but torque, that might be a different story. Echo saws have so much torque. Super good saws.
Yea I have Echo equipment besides saws and like the stuff (SpeedFeed trimmer head awesome). I think if Echo did a bit of update work to bring their saws up to current standards they would be more competitive with the two big saw companies.
The pro level Echo saws are built like tanks, but that one heavy for its CC size. My 73 CC Echo starts easy and I am pushing 71 years of age. Owner may have been cutting skidded and muddy logs.
finally caught up on all the repair vids .. cant wait for more freaky cool stuff haha no saw wil start with no gas ..is kinda funny and then passing it on the community is epic .. (shoullda went stihl in the first place :P ) keep em commin !! big love from germany !
Good morning from Sweden, Europe! I know you love those older Stihl saws! And I understand you. Me, who use saws, I have another point of view and I just must say the newones, especially 261c are just so much better then the old ones! Light strong and so well balanced… M-tronic finally can compete with Husqvarna, just great things for the use. Please could the 261 with blown clutch make it to the video? Your channel gives us so much more then you imagine! Have a really nice sunday! 😊
Wow, very nice gesture from the former owner! And, kudos 🏆🏆👏👏👏👏👏👏 to you! As a current owner of a few Stihl blowers, trimmers and chainsaws (180C, 291), I've come to rely on your expert, throughtful input and educational videos!
Hi Erica, I always love when we 2 VIDEOS in 1 DAY!! Thank you!! Always makes the day BETTTER! I always love how you find and explain how the wear and tear on a Chainsaw (the oil ports stopped up, or Spark Arrestor being taken out) and tell how to prevent it. Always interesting. He sounds like a good man to donate such a good saw for someone. I'll definitely be putting in for the Giveaway.
I regularly wash my bars out with a little gas, blow with air and lightly oil them on reassembly. Bit of mucking around, but my 8 y.o bars for the 661 are still the originals, and in excellent condition. Around $300NZ ( $240 CAD) for a new 30" Stihl bar without a chain, so I'm happy spending a little time doing this. I feel for the owner of this saw, I don't wanna start the 661 too often, age and arthritis spoil the fun! Thanks Erica for another great video, I hope people with little chainsaw knowledge get to see a few of your videos. Great work!
Wow! What a AWESOME guy to donate that Echo saw to a channel subscriber. Big shout out! That saw is like brand new! Some lucky person is going to be real happy!😀👍
Late night catch up up on the channel to find this video. So used to seeing Stihl models being TLC'd makes a change to see a different breed. Then the owner decides to give it away once working. Wow, what a gesture. I think this will spur a fair few viewers to subscribe. Well done to you and the donor. You see folks, it's not all grim out there. 🙂
Wow! what a nice guy! I wondered if someone borrowed his and used it to cut stumps up. And that was how, what looked like dirt got into the bar. I love your videos, so keep them coming.
The way you got that bar cleaned out was beautiful. My first stihl i didnt realize all that cleaning mattered, now im so fussy with my cleaning. Awesome video and how very nice of your client to offer up that saw like that, what a heart ! I would certainly be proud to own that Awesome saw. Im so getting into echoes suddenly. Awesome video, and great job Erica 👍🏼☕️
Hello This Video shows how important it is, to have the right saw for the right things. You dont always need the biggest and heaviest saw for small Trees. Small saws are often powerfull enough to get the Job done, and that is what counts. A little maintenance belongs to it. Thank you for another perfect Video for my Evening at Home.
Very cool, I’m clearing out my families future homesite and I picked up a CS-4910 about 2 months ago and have put god knows how many starts/time on it. This 600 is probably more what I needed. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻 for the channel, hope it finds a new home quickly!
Man wouldn't I love having that saw!! Idea; You'll have to come up with a "Married with Small Engines" sticker some day for us collectors, use the Stihl colors, make it simple and include "Ontario Canada". Oval, married with small engines across the top and Ontario Canada on the bottom.
Well, wouldn't hurt my feelings if the giveaway was only available to Canadians as the cost of shipping else where would be pricey. Nice of him for the donation and love the channel.
I first saw was a 590, great saw. Then the saw bug got me and since then I picked up a 600 that needs a rebuild (threw a circlip and shredded the piston), and recently a 7310. Great saws for the price.
Thank you for posting this excellent video. I'm very impressed by the size of the saw. The on/off toggle switch makes me think of (tiny!) Homelite brand saws from the 1970s. I think they had simple toggles like the Echo as well. I am one of your subscribers, but I do not need or want a chainsaw. I prefer that you give the Echo to someone who is local to you, and who needs the saw.
Hopefully you can do some more videos on saw repairs other than Stihl. I’ve watched a lot of your videos and not bored yet. My wife is getting jealous. I may have too cut down to just one of your vids a day.
Definitely have to watch this one. Since I've got 5 echoes, I'm sure I could run into one of them not starting. Edited after watching to say I'm glad the Echo started only because of no fuel. Then, I learned four additional things, that I didn't know. 1. The oiler hole is on the bar and it can't be filled with grit or the oil won't get on the bar. 2. Clean the rut in the bar with a special tool, for me probably a small screwdriver. This also helps with the oiling and probably alignment of the chain. 3. Take tool and rub the spurs off the bar. 4. Pick out the filth in the grease hole, don't push it inward. Also, what deal. I'd love to have that Echo 600P! I don't have that one and it would definitely come in handy. So, I'll have to tune in to see how I get in the drawing.
What a great job you do on your videos. Concise and factual, with witty comments thrown in and very entertaining for those of us that like fixing stuff. I appreciate and enjoy your content!
That’s Awesome Of The Saw Owner to Donate Too The Channel I’m Sure When The 25,000 Subs Saw Giveaway Happens Some One Who Really Can Use It Will Really Love ❤️and Care of It 😀😊😀 Erica You Did an Excellent Diagnosis and Repair on The Echo
Good to see the Echo on the operating table getting some TLC. I have several Echo products. That CS600P sounds strong. Saws can require lots of maintenance to run & cut efficient.
When I decide to finally purchase a chainsaw I'm going to look back on your videos for tips and tricks to maintain the saw. Thank you so much for sharing your tips and tricks
Erica, maximize your profit. Use an affiliate link in your description for all these products you share. I want a Stihl bin kit for absolutely no reason other than you told me it’s a good deal. I own a MS 250, Yard Boss, KM 111, and SG 71 and don’t need a device to test the compression in any of them, yet I want one because of you (not getting it, but tempted). Now, I’m dying to win the Echo.
A generous fellow! There comes a time in every hand-cutters’ use, that the body just isn’t what it once was. Nice to know he’s got a saw he can use. Nice work there and a fine explanation of the importance of bar maintenance and showing what needs doing. I personally like a bar that can be greased but I also have the time to do the maintenance and view it as a therapeutic exercise. A way of winding down after all the noise and lugging equipment a 1/2mi, just to get to the first tree.
After repairing many Stihls for myself to use and collect i finally got my first S/H Echo Line trimmer. A 24CC straight shaft and i was impressed by the quality and all the steel it has and a big fat rubber grip and soft thick rubber handle. Even has steel welded chains off of it to connect to harness and only downside is no "primer" bulb which is useful for quick starting AND clearing all the fuel out of the carb for storage. Has thickest tubing and the engine area is all metal around the clutch; no plastic anywhere!!. todays 2 stroke machines have a lot of plastic and even the chock flap can be plastic giving less suction for harder start.
The saw looks brand new! Nice job, you really take a lot of care when you service a piece of equipment, very impressive. Thanks for sharing your expertise.👍👍
Thank you for being a great teck and a better person you are amazing thanks for the class on small engine repair it is so nice to see how you work and what tools it takes to do the job God bless you

Thank u, Erica.I own a Echo timber wolf, its a great saw. Someone will be pleased to own it. It is big and heavy but not that bad for blockin up logs for firewood. Definitely not my limbing saw.lol. Enjoyed your video, nice to see u giving it away.

Should be 100,000 😊😊😊
She is very very good 👍 and knows what she’s doing on every saw she touches 😊❤
What a nice gift from the owner! Here's to 25K!
Yes indeed!
That’s a nice prize! I want to see the 75 year old saw run too.
Wow! That was so generous of him. You should have no problem getting 25k subs. You deserve 100k!
Wow, thanks!
Hey Erica--I collect use and repair old vintage saws--fun hobby for me--looking forward to you repairing the old one!!!!!!!!!!!
I have an Echo CS600P its a great saw, I bought it few years after they went on sale.
Echo makes great saws and power equipment.
What a great gesture from that owner! My saw bar gets the brake clean, compressor and bench grinder clean! Loving your videos Erica! 🇦🇺🍺🍺
This keeps getting better and better!!!👍
Thank you! :)
You are killing me with you OREGON pronunciation 😂.

Echo is the Toyota of chainsaw, not flashy or fancy, just well made, easy to work on, well performing, piece of machinery
Agreed ! I just got enough hours on my 7310 to call it broke in . Just loving it ! It reminds me of the old work horsd Husky's .
@@katesback
Try a 7310
The pro level Echo saws are built like tanks, but that one heavy for its CC size. My 73 CC Echo starts easy and I am pushing 71 years of age. Owner may have been cutting skidded and muddy logs.
Your a good and kind person. All the best.

That gentleman is very generous, very nice of you to pay the shipping to the winner. Looks like one heck of a nice saw.
Wow, if that customer is reading, that was super kind of you to donate the chainsaw. Truly a wonderful act of generosity
There she is 💖 You can take the ones you don't think will make a video, and combine them into one video. Even simple fixes are nice to see.
Another fine Echo product, their US assembly plant and office is located in Lake Zurich Illinois. They make some really good engines.
You’ll hit 25k by February 21. And I need a larger saw as my MS250 is often maxed out on 20”+ hardwoods.

What a nice guy. I hope who ever gets this saw needs one. Looks like a get firewood saw.
Thanks for not dogging him out too much .....everyone else will be letting him know for sure!!!!!
Very nice. Congrats on your saw giveaway and the gentleman that made it possible.
Thanks 👍
That's definitely mine!... you should hit 25k subs by march/25/25 !
Fingers crossed!

Why should this surprise anyone? Back in my day, echo's were always free...ree...ree...ree.....🤣 Best wishes to future winner(won't be me)

I’m working on a sticker! Funny you mention it because we were drawing out ideas today.

Wow how exciting a 2fer Friday. Thank you Ericka 😊
You seem to have a lot knowledge about chainsaws, especially stihl’s. I would be interested to see a video from you about cleaning the saws.
