Nissan better be thanking you for posting this because I went to the dealer and bought that exact color and trim after watching this.
Wait really? I ha s one two it’s silver tho and it’s beautiful
@@rossvice3909 Sure did!
How is it so far
I guess the only question was how’d it go?
Went great, no issues.
CVT BAD Yada Yada- Ive owned several Nissans going back to 2003 (2 maximas, 1 pathfinder, 4 muranos, 2 Altimas) Put over 600K combined miles on these vehicles and have 0, yes 0 problems with the transmissions. In fact I had no significant problems with any of them. Im not doubting the people that say they have had issues, just putting my experience of no issues out there. Nice review btw I just got the 19 Altima for a new company car to replace my 2016 and I love the enhancements.
Thank you for your input and perspective! I really appreciate you watching!
It’s apparent that you have good luck with Nissan
@@AUA-camChannelwithNoName It's probably not luck, he most likely just takes care of the cars.

Great video Joe and Tom!! Thanks Samantha! Was really surprised with how big the upgrade is on these cars, and every little detail you pointed out I'm glad you did!
You are so awesome with always bringing great comments and compliments! The interior is really were they did so much change!
This car is on a whole new level. I love how Nissan is getting better qualities.
I totally understand where you are coming from!

I really appreciate you saying that! I really do love all cars and trucks!
Wow they really step there game up beautiful car love design and orange stiching in the interior.
I am so glad that you liked this one Jason!
I wish I knew there was an orange option 😭😭😭🔥 ! I just got my 2019 SR Altima & I LOVE it 😍 I came from a 2013 Honda Civic & it is a big difference!!! Love love love what Nissian has done with the new Altima. I’m a mom of one , & didn’t have to sacrifice the sporty look , and still have a enough room and space for my son !
Thanks for sharing your input as an actual owner! Congrats on your new car!
I bought the Altima SR over the Maxima because the Altima was orange. It was a few wks later I finally saw the orange Max. But, neither will ever beat my orange Murano Platinum. It's a beautiful beast of an suv. Thanks

@@RaitisRides 👌🏻
I liked it too!
@@RaitisRides yea it's so cool !
By far my favorite styling of all the mid-size sedans currently on the market. Edgy yet clean and classy look, and beautiful well appointed interior. If Nissan offered this vehicle in non-CVT form there would be a new one in my driveway right now.
Thanks for sharing your input and perspective on this one! I appreciate you watching!
For real I follow redline reviews they great also however your videos are great the camera dude is great also .. the bronx loves your channel... ps love the zonk!!!!
Thanks for saying that! It really means a lot!
Joe, great review on this car as always, this is a nice looking car, Nissan has really did a splendid job i love the styling , that color is OFF THE CHAIN! THO, i test drove one one of these and it rode so nice. the interior looks good not to overdone to me, I wish they could have all four windows up/down and also they could have make the tailights full LED's. but as far as the cvt, i too hate them but i drove this car with the cvt and it actually acts like the a regular automatic transmission so go figure. But anyway, I would definitely buy one of these. especially the SR trim
Thank you so much for taking the time to say that and share your well thought out points!
This Altima is very nice I think I might have to trade my car in for this it looks really great especially black on black. Nissan has me sold on this Altima
I am so glad that I could share this one with you!
@@RaitisRides I got the Black with the light interior. it's a Platinum and I luv it.
Incredible gas mileage...did Cleveland to NYC (490 miles) with 3/4 of a tank of gas, getting 46 MPG! And the tach always stayed under 2000 rpm's in overdrive!
This makes me eqnt to get it even more. I drove mostly highway miles for my commute (40 miles a day) so I'm excited .
@@JayGuz225 I hope you do get it. It's a great, solid car, and you'll save $$$ over time on gas savings alone.
Pls more of these type. Thanks.

Hi Merigold! Thank you for finding us! If I had to choose I would go with the Nissan Maxima all day long!
Raiti's Rides Yaaazzzzz!! I’m so glad you said the sexy head turning Maxima! I just bought one two weeks ago and it is a lot of car and I had to get use to everything about it. Love to see a review on a jaguar or lotus .yet to see anyone review any of those two cars.i wonder why.keep rocking man
Yeah there is not a ton of love for those British brands. They seem to get lost in the see of German luxury brands. I will see what I can do!
I was choosing between the Nissan Altima (SR / VC-T SR), Toyota Camry (TRD), and the Honda Accord (Sport 2.0).
The common theme was the sportiest ride (the firmest suspension in each of the lines, resulting in the best handling / cornering).
All had 19" wheels (largest offered for each model) and low profile tires (minimal sidewall for improved handling).
All three cars handled great (for a family sedan). I was especially surprised at the Camry. In years past, it was always a soft cushy ride.
But as good as the Camry handled, it came in last place, because both of the other cars held turns better. Someone at Toyota just was not ready to commit the Camry to the full handling that it could have had. They went in for a sporty ride, but they went in only 80%. I guess that there is a segment of the population that will find this to be a good compromise (but not for me).
It was a tough choice between the Altima and the Accord. At first, I thought that the Altima handled better. I pushed it hard around a turn, and it took it like a dream. But when I pushed it harder, although it maintained control, and stayed planted, it made a grinding sound. In all fairness, almost no one will ever take a turn that hard. But taking such a turn is how to demonstrate the limits of each vehicle's performance, and discover which car will get you out of a jam if you have to act fast to avoid an accident. But I really liked the Altima's handling. I was very impressed.
In the end, I purchased the Accord. Here's why:
The Accord's handling was comparable to the Altima's handling (grips the turns much better than most folks would ever try). And I even preferred the way the Altima went into a tight turn, over the way the Accord went into a turn. But once taking the turn, the Accord, ultimately, never flinched. It seemed like it needed a little more finesse to take a hard turn correctly. But it got the job done.
The other game changer was acceleration.
All three cars had very good acceleration. But the Altima was a pig off of the line (the very good acceleration kicked in only when going approximately 20 MPH or faster).
Nissan chose to detune the Altima from a stop, either for safety, or fuel economy, or who knows? Maybe the Altima's traction control is at fault (and there is no way to turn off the Altima's traction control).
The Altima's acceleration from a stop would not normally be a problem for day-to-day driving. But if, for example, you are in the left lane at a light, and you realize that you need to make a right turn at the next light, then you can forget getting ahead of the car to your right. You can stomp on the gas pedal, and the Altima will take its time. This was too much to overlook for a car in this price range, and especially a in car designed for a sporty ride.
By the way, the stereos in all three cars are so-so. My 2003 Nissan Sentra has a better stock stereo. The manufacturers could have and should have done a better job. Either they all went to a meeting and jointly decided to cut corners on sound quality, or they all had someone in charge of the stereo department that never heard a quality stereo. Whatever the reason, they all dropped the ball on the sound quality of the stereo.
Cheers!
Love this car thinking of buy it...
Fantastic looking car, Joe. Glad you like it too. Looks way better than most SUVs. Lacks more power, but hey, not everyone needs it in a big sedan.
Those are some very good points that you bring up!
What car wins in your opinion... mazda 6 or the nissan altima?
Which would you prefer between the new Altima, Camry, Or Accord?? (Most Reliable)

Great review Joe, Nissan stepped up on the interior IMO, great materials and infotainment system, which brings the question WTH they didn't do the same for the TITAN you recently reviewed, doesn't make any sense. Again, great job, looking to see if you bring that manual Velocity Blue GT review, 👍
Thank you so much for the compliment! I was able to find a Velocity blue Mustang but it is not a GT or is a manual! I am going to keep on looking!

What I like about your reviews Joe, is that we look at a particular car, except of course the Corvette lol, and say to our ourselves that we really like it. Then someone asks why and we don't know how to answer other than, "I just like it." The way you work over, under and in the car, pointing out the little chrome, black or other accent pieces then it registers. THAT's what I like about the car! The reverse is true as well if we don't like a car, but am not quite sure why. Save the Wave.
That is so awesome of you to say Peter! It's crazy because when I doing the reviews I feel like I'm not even thinking and it's just happening! Thank you so much for enjoying I what I bring to the table!
I'm so glad you mentioned how you feel in that you're " . . . not even thinking and it's just happening!" THAT is what I was trying to say in my earlier comment about "like" or "don't like." Some would say you are "natural," which is true. But I prefer to say you are more of "prodigy" at what you do and I "know" it's not just on car reviews. I equate you to those who are considered musical prodigies. I have some familiarity with prodigies of the piano. For years and years I played and for years and years I had to "work" at it. Don't get me wrong, I've never shied away from work in any form, but I soon determined that in the musical arena I would only be a "Jack" of the piano, not a "Master" of it. As a young teenager I had an opportunity to meet him and spend some time with him. I tried like crazy to get him to tell me how he mentally "heard" what he heard and how did he transmit that "hearing" to the Steinway. His only reply was that he didn't know. He said he would sit down to play and his fingers would just take over. Sounds a lot like what happens to you. Keep playing those "88's" Joe, as you are in good company and it is a gift not bestowed on many.
@@petercarey6883 Wow, that is one heck of a story! I can totally relate to it! Thank you for believing in me and finding value in what I do. I am so blessed and humbled to be doing this. I am really looking forward to where this is going to take me.
@@RaitisRides I just noticed I failed to mention the name of the piano "Master" I met in my youth. It was Peter Nero. So, as I said earlier, you are definitely in good company with your ability.

Currently cross shopping between this but with the turbo, a Mazda 6 turbo, and a audi a3. In my area these are roughly priced around the same when they have the same equipment. 36k or so. Two "regular" cars and a luxury. Gotta have the outlier

Exterior wise, Nissan makes some of the nicest looking cars in the segment.
They did a great job with the front of the Altima!
If you get a chance or can find how about a newer GTO's I think they quite making them in 2006 had a 5.7 an. 6.0 with 450hp an 450pounds of tourque pretty sweet car to bad they don't make em anymore
I will totally track down one of those for you!
Even here in Australia (GTO is based on Holden Monaro) the car doesn't have a cult following many thought it would have. Seeing less and less of them on the roads. Enthusiasts don't drive them much or they got rid of 'em.
Also, there even was an AWD version of it called the HSV Coupe4. Great idea but in practice it was just too heavy and sluggish. Not to mention it was pretty expensive (90g's) even for a die hard Aussie Holden nut.
Boris Boca I see a few here where u live not many people have them ,I think they only made them for two or three years..really light cars an they have some power behind them
I really think it was a bit of let down here in the USA. Especially with the amazing history of the GTO from the past.
I used yo see a lot more in my neck of the woods but they have seem to disappeared but I think there is at least one that shows up at a local cars and coffee event every now and then.
Does it have Android auto or Apple CarPlay?

It actually has more than the Maxima while I love the new redesign it still looks cheaply made on the inside they could’ve did a little more better but other than that it’s beautiful and cheaper then the Maxima
Maxima has bigger seats and wrap around cockpit style dash which use more interior space which leaves less open space for occupants.

Can't wait to see that turbo charged Nissan altima joe
Same here!
Ok y’all can’t lie this fucking car is aggressive as hell she looking mean as fuck!
I tried out 3 of these at the used dealership today. It's nice that they have knobs for the volume and tuning but they seem to be extremely fragile. All 3 of the 2019 Altimas has issues with one or the other knobs. 2 of them the volume knob would barely work and the other it was the same thing on the tuning knob. Buyer beware. All 3 of the had 40k miles on them so not too many miles.
What sucks is after I looked into it, they don't offer the turbo in AWD... like... huh? every turbo package is FWD. I'm confused as all hell.
It really doesn't make any sense! Nissan makes some bizarre decisions like taking a front wheel drive car to Le Mans.
How many ilove in this car
CVT is still to unrefined especially with Nissan. To much competition out there for this to stand out.
I totally agree with you!
Have you guys driven the new generations? Combined with a big engine (the VQ) it's impressive, including its simulated gears under heavy acceleration
I am going to be driving one when I do the review of the Altima SR!
💯
It was a good revamp. However, I"m still liking the Accord better overall. I don't really mind the CVT actually, just takes some getting used to, but not bad, just different. Nice color! I"m betting it will be hard to find on the lot, though. Most dealers seem to stock only white, black, silver, and gray.
I would go Honda Accord all day over this Altima.
You can see that the front of the car was made to look lower at the nose. All of these sedans nowadays tend to look the same because of pedestrian safety issues that restrict the styling. Although if you look from the side you can see by the A pillar the hood rises quite dramatically from the fenders to the windshield.
Very good eyes and a very good point that you bring up! Car designers really do have their hands tied with pedestrian safety regs!
I'm sorry Joe, but I think Nissan screwed up the exterior design. I'm not feeling the whole V motion look, the GTR gets a pass though
You cracked me up with the GTR pass comment! I guess variety is the spice of life!
