I luckily found your video. I have a giant overgrown aloew/pups that I needed to research how to separate and transplant this monster. Thank you for sharing 🙂
You're very blessed to have a husband that supports you in your endeavors. I'm sure you do the same for him. It's great to see a couple with a healthy relationship. To see that it's actually possible to love and be loved by a man in marriage. I see sooooooo many negative comments anymore that I get disgusted with people. It takes two people giving 150% to make it work. Your aloe vera plants are gorgeous! I wish I had more room and more sunlight. God will make a way. God bless y'all! 🪴🐝🌺
Thank you so much, I just broke my huge aloe Vera and had no clue how to save it. I have several that are huge and over flowing and now thanks to your video I can transplant them… thank you so very much. God Bless and thank you for sharing
I just rescued 5 plants from a home where the owner passed away but the aloes where ignored for a long time. They were quite purple looking and lots of dead leaves and one very sad leggy plant. I know nothing about growing aloe so this helped me a lot. They’re greening up so I’m hopeful that they’ll survive.
I do not use fertilizer for my Aloe Vera. Just good soil with good drainage. You can get regular potting soil from store and add 1/3 sand or Make your own with compost, peat moss, and sand. I make my own potting soil because I have lots of compost. I use 1/3 compost, 1/3 peat moss, then the other third can be half sand and perlite.
I can't thank you enough for sharing this helpful information. I've struggled with my Aloe Vera collection for years because they kept growing so leggy and trying to fall out of their pots. Watering and rotating them once a week felt like a chore because they were so imbalanced and hard to deal with, but today I followed the steps in the video and helped five of my Aloe Veras :) It makes me feel so much better to have normal looking aloes in my window and it feels like a new beginning! Thanks a bunch!
I was checking the pipes at my dad's home in New Hampshire to be sure they hadn't frozen when he was wintering in Florida 8 years ago and noticed that he had forgotten his aloe plant on the counter.. her outer leaves were frostbitten, but I took her home in her 6-inch pot, and she recovered just fine.. she's given me hundreds of pups and flowered this winter.. a gorgeous spike of pink bells that lasted for months and is just fading now, but her daughter also flowered a beautiful canopy thats still going strong she's too heavy now for me to lift alone
Went to follow this tutorial, only to realize that my 9-year-old aloe that I've brought with me on 9 moves to 4 different cities had BAD root rot that was climbing up the stem. I cut the rotted parts, tossed all of the soil, and dipped her in rooting hormone before potting her again. Crossing my fingers that trimming as heavily as I had to won't be too much of a shock, but she's a hardy gal. Thank you. Because encouraging me to get her sitting up straight helped me discover a problem that might have killed a very old friend. Please cross your fingers for me that she'll be alright
How did she do? I'm very curious to know. I bought two really big aloe vera plants at Walmart of all places. I'd NEVER seen them there. Especially such large plants. But now the leaves are getting black spots on there and other crazy stuff. I hope they're not having root rot problems because they were outside at Walmart during alot of rain and it doesn't look like the soil is for succulents. Anyway let me know how yours is doing. I hope thriving and growing beautifully. God bless you and yours.! 💐
i've been searching for exactly this advice and demonstration in a video for my two very tipped over aloes! thank you so much for this - so clear and simple and helpful!
Right! And the Aloe root doesn’t need that much soil but it can get too heavy. So an extra bigger pot will help support the leaves. You can put stone or small rocks around it to act as a weight if desired.
my sister sent me this video and I am so grateful, I started to think my aloe vera was planning on getting up and walking off LOL she kept falling over even after straightening her out, wake up and she topped again but never again now and she will be happier - thank you !
I found a giant discarded aloe plant nearly three feet tall. Someone left it on the side of the road after a move-out. So I decided to rescue it and all your questions are my questions! And your problem solving is giving me hope I can find a solution for this beauty.
Thanks so much. Best aloe video. I have 3 that are massive but floppy due to my dark lil apt. Using larger pot to hold it up is genius and much prettier than trying to tie or stake it.
Thank you for sharing. I have a very large leggy (indoor) aloe, a couple of months ago she SENT UP A PRETTY YELLOW FLOWER! Now that the flower is spent I really need to repot her. Thank you for the video.
Yes, it’s exciting. When you see those flowers come up not all mine produce flowers, but some of the larger ones will 🌸 I’m glad the video was helpful. God bless. ☺️

I'm so glad I found your video! My aloe vera is huge just like yours, and I had no idea how to go about transplanting it.. Thanks for all the helpful tips and tricks!
Thank you so much for this video! It's so helpful! I only wish I saw it sooner. Now, I'm trying to save my massive aloe from root rot because we moved to a new house that has almost no light and it takes forever for the soil to dry out.
I am having a similar issue with the mother plant growing over the side of the pot. I may not have ever repotted. A long time ago I had a similar issue with the root curving in the pot. I put it in a huge pot. Years later it was filled with many beautiful aloe and the mother was huge! God bless you
Yes, I have replanted my leggy Aloes in bigger pots and the mother plant can get really big and even flower if in the right light. But I have so many now that I prefer to use pots that will not need lots of soil. As I mentioned in the video cutting off root after removing leaves you don’t want and leaving 3 -4 inches of stem and replanting so you can use a medium pot that doesn’t need as much soil. The roots will grow back if cared for properly. God bless
I find that it works to cut the roots, then surround the plant with rocks under the soil. This suppports the plant and keeps the pot from tipping. I first found this works with Bromeliads but it would work with Aloe Vera.
Well, now I know everything. I was afraid I'd damage mine, or that new roots will not grow if I break the stem. Nice to know I was worried over nothing. Suggestions? Nah, you won't get a single one. You explained everything.
Thank you for this. I've one that's scrawny, leggy and over 2ft tall. Its about to fall over. I had neglected it next to a north facing window (I live in england) but I've moved it to my office which is much brighter. There's been a bunch of pups appeared plus new leaves on the top. I now hope I'm correct in removing the oldest, bottom leaves rather than it's crown and shorten the stem.
Yes, you can pull out whole plant and remove pups to replant elsewhere or add back to pot after you have removed lower leaves and replanted. And yes you may have to cut roots off if too leggy and keep removing leaves until you can have a 3-4” stem and have the plant positioned correctly upright when repotting. Hope that helps ☺️
So excited to see this! Thank you so very much for sharing your wonderful garden and family with us all. This video is very helpful; I have two, large aloe vera plants that I need to repot but I didn't want to cut the stem. Bless you!

This video is great. Lots of well explained information and I enjoyed hearing your thought process. Now I feel confident repotting my very leggy aloe...thank you!!
Thank you thank you thank you for this video!!!! Watching you go through the whole process is so very helpful. I’m sure my aloe plants thank you as well!
Your sunroom looks amazing, years of hard work built up. I've only recently started keeping succulents (mangave, cactus, and aloe) so I appreciate these repotting tips.
Thank you so much for the info mine was hanging over my side of my pot in dire need of a new home ! It’s thriving so much I have about 16 pups and can make two plants out of the mother plant.i was so worried it would die and I’ve had it for quite awhile it was one of my first plants so it’s important to me .
This is the exact thing I needed help with. My aloe has grown and long legged , and fell over, I thought maybe it was dead, will know what to do now. Thank you, and God bless you!
Thank you sweetie! I’m ready to plant mine just like that but the 2 different root systems ( the 4 at the top you put under the soil and you get pups galore! ❤️❤️❤️
Lol..you're awesome and so are your plants! My mom had huge aloe vera plants around the house when I was a kid and now I have my own I bought recently from a lady I work with who's plants were getting out of hand. 2 big plants had 3 babies total so now I have 5 plants. I'm having to use popsicle sticks to stand up the bigger plants. Never thought of double potting. Thanks!
Sure! Glad it was helpful.☺️ If your plants get too leggy you can also just cut them off at neck leaving a good stump (removing any dry leaves) and repot. I know it may seem scary to do that but it will make new roots. Just make sure you water as needed but don’t overwater. God bless. 🌸
Videos like this make me love youtube! We can get insight from experienced people across the world! Very cool! Thanks for sharing your knowledge and posting this video!
I’m so glad it was helpful☺️ Your comment is encouraging. I haven’t done videos in over a year because life has not given me time for doing more. I have so much footage in my files I would love to put more together hopefully soon. But, I am so glad you enjoyed this one.☺️ God bless 🌸
@Gods_creation.His_harvest Please help. My aloe vera leaves are dark green, hard and only seem to produce liquid instead of gel😢 I live in a hot sunny place. So they get a lot of sun and grow upward, but I would like for them to produce gel, not just liquid. Any tips?
Thank you for sharing this video. I wish I could show you my Aloe Vera. It was doing great, It's about 3 feet tall and now wants to tip over. It has a lot of pups and I have been using bamboo sticks to hold it in place as I'm afraid it will break. Your video is great and now I won't be afraid to transplant it along with the pups. Like you, I love Aloe Vera plants and have several in my house. I have transplanted a lot of the pups and given them away to people in our small village. Thanks again. God Bless you and your family.
You’re welcome I am glad I was helpful to you. You can also just cut the large one off leaving a long enough neck after removing whatever leaves you do not want on there and then replant the mother in a separate pot. Then let the pups grow in the original pot. Or you can remove all the pups and mother and repot. You still will have to remove leaves from the mother and if the main stem (neck) is not too long to the bottom where the roots are you may be able to keep roots but you can cut off roots and just replant in damp soil but not to wet. Be sure to leave a good 4-6 inches of main stem. If watched and watered occasionally when dry it should produce new roots.
So very helpful! I love your Name: GOD’s Everything 🙌🏾 I’ve had an aloe plant for about 1-2 years now and it’s still hanging in there. It’s grown pretty big and has started to make new roots/plants, so I’m looking into replanting! This was very helpful. I was wondering what to do with the big glass pots that don’t have holes at the bottom; I will be going to buy the smaller pots to put inside of them as you did. Thanks for the Tips! ✨
Hello from Central FL Zone 9b. I started decapitating aloe and also cathedral cactus 🌵 this year and they’re all thriving and in a couple of weeks start rooting non stop. Blessings ❤
I so enjoyed this video. I ready to repot my one aloe version plant. And with this video, im well prepared. You Aloe plants looks so beautiful. Thank you for this video.
God bless you! Thank you sooo much for your video! My aloe vera plant has become 20 and they are all still in the same pot, but it's about to topple over, so now I know what to do! Looks like I am gonna be swamped by Aloe Vera plants lol!
Glad it was helpful! Just so you do know You can cut the stem if it is too long leaving a few inches and it should grow new roots. Both ways will work. Happy replanting. God bless
@@Familyadventures727 Thanks, Michelle. If keeping the dried out stem does not allow new roots to grow, then, I shall cut it as recommended. I am afraid once I cut the dried out stem, with no skills, it is hard to say the plant can still survive. ;-)
@@hsun1949 I am not sure what your stem looks like. But just remove the leaves that have dried out as I show on video. Then as you do that you will be creating some new neck (main stem) Once you have the plant looking as you like then leave about 3-4 inches of stem past the bottom leaf. That should ensure the opportunity for roots to grow. You can usually see little bumps around stem where the new roots will grow from. You can watch a few of my other videos on aloe to see where I do plant a very long neck with original roots at the end in a small pot by twisting the root around the pot. Of course there is risk of snapping the root but even if that happens you can still replant and new roots will grow. Just be sure that you don’t put in too wet soil. Damp soil that drains well. Adding sand to potting mix can help with that. You will need to give it more attention to be sure it doesn’t stay dry for long periods so roots can grow.
I really like your guy's whole style.....simple down to earth easy to follow....plus the name!!!!!! The name caught my eye, God's creation garden, so cool🤙🛐✝️🐧🌵
Your plants are beautiful thank you this video was so helpful I thought the kids knocked my plants over but this explains the reason my plant is leaning over❤
I have been looking for a video to tell me it’s ok to break the aloe off even if it has no roots.Seemingly it will grow more roots. God bless and thanks for sharing thsi
I need to do one where you just cut off the whole root. There were other videos. I think that have shown that but basically all you’re doing is pulling everything out removing the leaves that are undesirable or would make it so that when you want to replant it, it wouldn’t look straight upright. After you’ve done all that you just make sure you leave about 3 to 4 inches of stump and stick it in the dirt so that it’s setting the way you want it and lightly water it if the soil is fairly dry or you can moisten the soil very slightly and stick it in and just keep an ion it and very lightly water occasionally like once a week maybe and it should produce new routes. I have some that I’ve done that with. I need to make a video on it.
Thank you ❤️🙏 perfect video and a lil more. My aloes have been going great guns. I haven’t been able to go wrong… until now. I previously used a mix of soil from my garden & top soil which was obs perfect. This time I repotted (in winter uk although they are indoor plants) in a sand, top soil & perlite mix. My large plants look healthy but the leaves are dying quickly from bottom to top so checked and a few have root rot 😫 I think they’re in too much soil and overwatered. I did dry them out for a few days prior to repotting and seems I am doing everything else right which is great news tbh. Your dialog could be me, and made me chuckle. I wanted to know how much stem I could bury as don’t want to cut the roots off this time of year. You’ve answered my questions and giving me a bit more confidence. Thanks so much. I love my healing aloe sooo much haha. I’ve been Making healing balm using candelilla wax, colloidal silver, yarrow salve and coconut oil. It’s brilliant stuff and lasts a few months without any added preservative. You say you vacuum seal yours in the fridge. How long does it last please? I’ve tried everything else and found that all other ways of preserving naturally means a big loss in quality. Thanks again. Xx
Hello Christine, it does sound like there was an overwatering issue or possibly soil combination is holding water too long. The soil needs to be able to drain well and dry between waterings. Would love your recipe you mentioned. That sounds great! The best way to keep Aloe fresh is to use as needed or when harvesting a lot I have vacuumed sealed and refrigerated but after a few weeks it tends even then to turn pinkish. My go to now is freezing on my feeeze dryer trays and when I have 4 ready they go in freeze dryer. I hope to do a video on that. I have paused making UA-cam’s because I have a busy homestead life but I am trying to get back into it again. I hope your Aloes improve. God bless 🌸
Your plants are beatiful. Please make video's when you water your aloe vera plants, when you give them fertilizer and talk about which fertilizers you use for your aloe vera plants.
Thank you! Yes, I could do one while watering and talk about how the plants grow in various light & room conditions. I have been very busy and so it has been hard lately to edit my videos 🫤 As far as fertilizer I do not fertilize. I just plant my aloes in my homemade compost. Which I do discuss in one or more of my other videos.
I just saw a video where they propagated an aloe plant from the leaves, like the ones that you broke off! The leaf has to have some of the white part still at the bottom. He cut the top part of the leaf & allowed it to callous, & put the bottom 3-4 inches of the leaf about a half-inch into the soil. It was planted so shallow, he used a rock to support it. 2-3 weeks later it grew pups!
Brilliant....We have 4 overgrown monsters falling over themselves in the bathroom. Didnt realise its possible to be quite dramatic with them to get a result.
I am glad it was helpful. I do have a video of me removing gel. I am working on a more current one where I freeze dry the gel & leaves. Hope to have it out soon😊

@@Tiffylovesjoshua09 ok! Glad the video was helpful. You should be able to transplant those pups and trim the leggy mama and repot. 🪴☺️
God bless 🌸
This is the exact thing I needed help with. My aloe has grown and long legged , and fell over, I thought maybe it was dead, will know what to do now. Thank you, and God bless you!

Very educative video deepening my knowledge of aloe vera planting. Greetings from Nigeria.❤😊
Glad it was helpful☺️God bless
Lol..you're awesome and so are your plants! My mom had huge aloe vera plants around the house when I was a kid and now I have my own I bought recently from a lady I work with who's plants were getting out of hand. 2 big plants had 3 babies total so now I have 5 plants. I'm having to use popsicle sticks to stand up the bigger plants. Never thought of double potting. Thanks!
Sure! Glad it was helpful.☺️
If your plants get too leggy you can also just cut them off at neck leaving a good stump (removing any dry leaves) and repot. I know it may seem scary to do that but it will make new roots. Just make sure you water as needed but don’t overwater. God bless. 🌸
Videos like this make me love youtube! We can get insight from experienced people across the world! Very cool! Thanks for sharing your knowledge and posting this video!
I’m so glad it was helpful☺️
Your comment is encouraging. I haven’t done videos in over a year because life has not given me time for doing more. I have so much footage in my files I would love to put more together hopefully soon. But, I am so glad you enjoyed this one.☺️

@Gods_creation.His_harvest Please help. My aloe vera leaves are dark green, hard and only seem to produce liquid instead of gel😢 I live in a hot sunny place. So they get a lot of sun and grow upward, but I would like for them to produce gel, not just liquid. Any tips?
I am not sure how to answer that. Possibly they are water logged.
Glad it was helpful☺️🌸
God bless
I never thought about bending the long part to make it fit. That’s genius
Hello from Central FL Zone 9b. I started decapitating aloe and also cathedral cactus 🌵 this year and they’re all thriving and in a couple of weeks start rooting non stop. Blessings ❤
Great! ☺️
this lady is definitely the aloe, whisperer!
@@rockerdad2 not sure what you mean by that but if it’s good, thank you☺️

So glad it was helpful! Happy replanting and God bless ☺️
God bless you! Thank you sooo much for your video! My aloe vera plant has become 20 and they are all still in the same pot, but it's about to topple over, so now I know what to do! Looks like I am gonna be swamped by Aloe Vera plants lol!
Right! I have too many myself. But I am going to freeze dry some to have for use later use. Glad the video was helpful 🙂
God bless ! 🌸
Thanks for your video. This is the most useful one I saw to manage the stem of the aloe vera that I do not want to cut it.
Then as you do that you will be creating some new neck (main stem)
Once you have the plant looking as you like then leave about 3-4 inches of stem past the bottom leaf.
@@Familyadventures727 Will do, thanks, Michelle.
I’m so glad 😀 I found your videos. They are so helpful. Thank you and God Bless

So glad I was helpful to you!

This was so helpful!! I want to see the other one where you get rid of the bottom of a large plant. Mine is sooooo long now!
God bless 🌸
I love your aloe vera . I wish I have also my own aloe vera like your
Thank you! God bless 🌸
Omg the cheek kiss! So sweet!!! 🥲❤️
Yes, that was a surprise ☺️
Your plants are beatiful. Please make video's when you water your aloe vera plants, when you give them fertilizer and talk about which fertilizers you use for your aloe vera plants.
Thank you! Yes, I could do one while watering and talk about how the plants grow in various light & room conditions. I have been very busy and so it has been hard lately to edit my videos 🫤
As far as fertilizer I do not fertilize.
I have seen those but have not had a need to try it. I already have so many pups!
Excellent thanks, that was really helpful. I wear those sun shade hats too.
Glad it was helpful! Yes! Those hats are great😁God bless🌸

What type of soil do you use? Loved the video very informative and easy to understand ❤
I make my soil with my compost, perlite, peat moss. I add sand to that when planting my Aloe Vera.
But you can use any store bought soil I would just be sure you add some sand unless it is designed for cactus plants
Brilliant....We have 4 overgrown monsters falling over themselves in the bathroom. Didnt realise its possible to be quite dramatic with them to get a result.
Thank you Susan from England UK ❤
