The first build, where I made it through the tomb of the eaters, was a high willpower character. The ability to use your abilities more often is realy good!
sorry for the late reply, but this comment actually completely changed my perspective on qud builds and i've been trying more high-willpower builds! thanks for letting me know, I really appreciate how qud allows for so much player freedom in how they develop their characters.
I know this is late but thank you for these tutorials, I played this game for about 30 minutes and was overwhelmed. I’ve been watching these videos and I think I’m going to try and give the game another shot.
Not a bad tutorial! I'd add to this... don't just NOT panic... also go slow! Be sure you know what your strategy is for a situation, and ensure every move you make executes on that strategy. I watch a lot of people play on Twitch when they're learning, and they'll often make random, erratic movements that serve no purpose or worse, put them in an even worse predicament when they're threatened.
Hi, found your channel via this tutorial series and I think it's wonderful! I had a question about how healing/bandage items & bleeding based on what happened to me on my previous character. After a fight, I found myself at 1 HP and bleeding condition; I knew I had bandages, so I wasn't worried. I opened the inventory and applied the bandage, but after I clicked 'apply,' I immediately died due to bleeding (the turn had passed)! It's not my first dead character so I wasn't sad as much as I was surprised, since I thought the bandage would stop the bleeding. Does the bleed damage happen before the bandage is applied, or is something else going on? Thanks for your help and your Qud series!
hi there! thanks for watching! so after a cursory glance at the wiki, my guess is that applying bandages, or even staunching wounds to remove the bleeding status isn't a guarantee of removing the status effect, it just reduces the difficulty check. if you "applied bandages" then that reduces the difficulty check by 2d6, if you staunch wounds, you reduce by another 2d6 ( i believe totaling in a 4d6 reduction) so my BEST guess is those rolls went REALLY bad for you, meaning you happened to roll low for the difficulty reduction and then failed the check to remove the status, and at 1hp you really needed that not to happen lol
First time I encountered baboons as a noob I just started running around and chucking the stones back at them. I spec'd into throwing to survive and spent the first few hours of the game like that. It was not the plan I had for my character at all, I just panicked and returned to monke 🐒
hey there, thanks for watching! to answer your question, no they don't. There are very rare instances where enemies will be spawned from portals, but it will be obvious this is hapenning.
Bro, u might got lost on your way to redrock, i didnt. Now iam standing on redrock, on the world map and dont know how to get back to the small map thingy. :( ChatGPT says it is ENTER, but it isnt. It is + damn that took a while

@@BigSimple OK, thanks for the help! Since then found that the Staunch Wounds ability would be a more reliable way to go about it.
What a amazing tutorial!!

Do enemies in over world areas respawn over time? Thank for these videos, made me start playing the game! Much appreciated :)

I'm confused, what is tilde?
tilde is the key right above TAB on your keyboard. sorry for the delayed response!
@@BigSimple Thank you so much, your tutorial helped me understand the game.
