That was an excellent video. You explained things without blabbing on for too long and making it boring. I'll use something new if your tips and tricks when my Eduard Spitfire arrives next week. 👍 I've only recently got back into modelling and I've built a couple of easy kits, so now it's time to move onto something more challenging.
One of, if not the best spitfire build I've seen. I live only 2 miles from the original Supermarine factory here in Southanpton, so have quite a soft spot for early Spitfires
Thank you very much, I really appreciate it. 🤝The Spitfire holds a soft spot for almost every aircraft enthusiast, including myself. Such a beautiful aircraft.👌
Great video, excellent build and great explanation. Would appreciate another description of the removal of the final film on the eduard decals. Look forward to your next build. 👏👏👏
Thank you very much. I've been searching for a silver Prismacolor pencil available in Slovakia for quite some time, but it's been a problem. So, I decided to try this one out. And it works well. I'll definitely continue using it. 👍
Great build. You got the harness wrong, and you're not alone, a lot of builders go the same, incorrect and confused path you took - the "Y" shaped webbing anchor's to the lower seat back - there's a slot for it, very close to the base end of the padding. Check out reference photos, check out the plethora of Spitfire content online, and have a good hard look, then check out how HGW and Eduard instruct regards installation, plus there are heaps of builders who get it right. Not to be picky, but what's with that huge gap between the armour windshield and the fuselage - I say this because of the amount of work you've put in as a whole on the finish, yet the cockpit area, in particular, always draws the eye. That gap is very, very noticeable. Keep on keeping on and go well 🤙✨️
Hey, thanks for the tips! 😊This won't be my last Spitfire, so I'll pay more attention to the harness next time. As for that gap near the windshield... I totally missed it. I was so excited about how the build was progressing that I just ignored it. 🥲I just needed to fill it in a bit with some putty. 😅I'll make sure to be more careful about that next time. Thanks again!🫡🤝
@Model_Addict No worries mate, it's your build and it's up to you, and it's a great effort 👍 *do that research about the harness lol... I've done many marques of the Spitfire, 1/48 mainly and some Tamiya 1/32 (IX's & VIII's) and have the Kotare (Brian Lane) Mk1a in the stash screaming at me to get it happening lol... still have a few Eduard Spitfires stowed, so yeah, I get the reasoning behind doing more, and what an absolutely beautiful subject. Glad you can go forward with it all anyway as you should with your talent. Very warm regards from us here in paradise at Tuckombil via Alstonville and East Ballina 800km north of Sydney ex Maroubra. MATE ✨️ 🤙🤝
Hi, thanks a lot! 🤙 The color looks white until you place it next to the actual white. Then you can see it’s a light blue. Specifically, Vallejo 71.306. 😊
Thanks! The MRP paints are already thinned in the bottle and ready for spraying. Sometimes, I still use a bit of thinner if I want very fine coverage. I spray them through a 0.2mm nozzle at a pressure of about 10 psi.
Hi! It depends on the specific model and the instructions. In this case, I applied a scale increase of 195.3% for the top view and 112.19% for the side view. These notes are about half a year old, so I hope the information is accurate. I used a simple method: I selected a reference line on the model and the same one in the instructions, then measured them with calipers. The formula for the calculation should be Dimension from the model / Dimension from the instructions multiplied by 100.
A very subtle and balanced result. I enjoyed your description of your technique.
Thank you so much 🤙😊
Chipping with an airbrush...impossible. Watch video...jaw hits floor! Incredible stuff!
Thanks buddy! 🤝
Simply stunning! And I love the way you explain steps.
Thank you so much. 👋
Master class in airbrushing along with a great build
After seeing this I think I`d use my Tamiya as a paint mule!
Thank you, buddy, I really appreciate it. 💛
Outstanding paint job and weathering!!
Many thanks! ✌️
Absolutely stunning, you are clearly skilled, loved the build, thanks for sharing.
Jase 🇬🇧

Thank you, sir. It's always nice when one returns to old hobbies; fortunately, modelling is something you can't forget. 👍 🤝

Excellent build !
Many thanks!
Absolutely stunning fantastic job
Thank you su much. 😊
Incredible build, I especially like your post shading skills. Envious of your talent. Thanks for sharing your hard work as always.
Thank you, mate, I really appreciate it. 🫡
Fantastic model, well done!
Thank you. 👍
Excellent work! I have this kit and will be looking to do it in a couple of months. This will be a great guide.
It's a great kit. It practically builds itself. As they say, you throw glue into the box, shake it, and a completed model falls out.😆
Super Cool !
Thanks!
Awesome build!
Thanks!
Very nicely done. Great editing too. Subscribed!
Thank you, I really appreciate it. 👋
Amazing build. Thanks!
Thanks, mate! 👋
Very nice build!
Thank you!
Amazing
Great job !
Thank you!
Great video, excellent build and great explanation. Would appreciate another description of the removal of the final film on the eduard decals. Look forward to your next build. 👏👏👏
Thank you so much. When I get to Eduard decals in the future, I'll describe the whole process again. It's very satisfying to peel off the top film.😁👍
Fantastic build. The eduard kit is very special! I'm really surprised by the effect of the AK silver pencil! Greetings from London.
Thank you very much. I've been searching for a silver Prismacolor pencil available in Slovakia for quite some time, but it's been a problem. So, I decided to try this one out. And it works well. I'll definitely continue using it. 👍
Beautiful Build! I learned a lot of new techniques from this. GrandpaChas
Thank you very much. I'm glad to hear that. 🤝😊
Amazing work
Thank you
a brilliant build
Thanks!
It looks amazing!!
Thanks!
I enjoyed the whole build! Amazing paint and weathering job! I’m excited to build my own Spitfire 😍 but first I need to complete my Intruder 😩
Thank you. I'm also planning to build an Intruder in the future. 😁 There's something about that aircraft that attracts me. 🤩
Great work, one of the best on YT. You deserve more subscribers.
Thank you for your support. It reads very well, but I still have a long way to go to be among the best guys on UA-cam.😅

Great Job 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻... A very nice model 👌🏻. Best regards from Germany 😊
Thank you 🫡 👋
Outstanding! I think it would be better if there were only the pure sounds of the handcrafting process
Thank you, buddy. I'm not sure if it's technically possible. In reality, there's always some podcast or my girlfriend running in the background.😅
That cockpit is a thing of beauty. As is the whole build. Your narration is great too; very informative. In total, how many hours was the build?
Thanks! I'm glad you like it.🤩
wow nice
Thanks!
Tak to je perfekní, klobouk dolů💪👏
Ďakujem za podporu kamarát 🫡🍻
Congratulations for the model! What colour did you use to Paint the spinner? It looks like White. Thanks

Hi buddy your spitfire looks awesome pure art. What psi did you spray the mrp paints at. Cheers Gary 🇬🇧

What double sided tape did you use for the camouflage friend?
Hey there!👋 It's just regular double-sided tape from a hobby store. Nothing special. It just needs to stick well and be thin.
What % do you increase the camo patterns by?
Hi! It depends on the specific model and the instructions. In this case, I applied a scale increase of 195.3% for the top view and 112.19% for the side view.
